Abstract A scalable graphical method is presented for selecting and partitioning datasets for the training phase of a classification task. For the heuristic, a clustering algorithm is required to get its computation cost in a reasonable proportion to the task itself. This step is succeeded by construction of an information graph of the underlying classification patterns using approximate nearest neighbor methods. The presented method consists of two approaches, one for reducing a given training set, and another for partitioning the selected/reduced set. The heuristic targets large datasets, since the primary goal is a significant reduction in training computation run-time without compromising prediction accuracy. Test results show that both approaches significantly speed-up the training task when compared against that of state-of-the-art shrinking heuristics available in LIBSVM. Furthermore, the approaches closely follow or even outperform in prediction accuracy. A network design is also presented for a partitioning based distributed training formulation. Added speed-up in training run-time is observed when compared to that of serial implementation of the approaches.

Rice crop is one of the important commodities that must always be available, so estimation of rice production becomes very important to do before harvesting time to know the food availability. The technology that can be used is remote sensing technology using Landsat 8 Satellite. The aims of this study were (1) to obtain the model of estimation of rice production with Landsat 8 image analysis, and (2) to know the accuracy of the model that obtained by Landsat 8. The research area is located in three sub-districts in Klungkung regency. Analysis in this research was conducted by single band analysis and analysis of vegetation index of satellite image of Landsat 8. Estimation model of rice production was developed by finding the relationship between satellite image data and rice production data. The final stage is the accuracy test of the rice production estimation model, with t test and regression analysis. The results showed: (1) estimation of rice production can be calculated between 67 to 77 days after planting; (2) there was a positive correlation between NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) vegetation index value with rice yield; (3) the model of rice production estimation is y = 2.0442e1.8787x (x is NDVI value of Landsat 8 and y is rice production); (4) The results of the model accuracy test showed that the obtained model is suitable to predict rice production with accuracy level is 89.29% and standard error of production estimation is + 0.443 ton/ha. Based on research results, it can be concluded that Landsat 8 Satellite image can be used to estimate rice production and the accuracy level is 89.29%. The results are expected to be a reference in estimating rice production in Klungkung Regency.

To develop a Tm-shift method for detection of dog-derived Ancylostoma ceylanicum and A. caninum, three sets of primers were designed based on three SNPs (ITS71, ITS197, and ITS296) of their internal transcribed spacer 1 (ITS1) sequences. The detection effect of the Tm-shift was assessed through the stability, sensitivity, accuracy test, and clinical detection. The results showed that these three sets of primers could distinguish accurately between A. ceylanicum and A. caninum. The coefficient of variation in their Tm values on the three SNPs was 0.09% and 0.15% (ITS71), 0.18% and 0.14% (ITS197), and 0.13% and 0.07% (ITS296), respectively. The lowest detectable concentration of standard plasmids for A. ceylanicum and A. caninum was 5.33 × 10−6 ng/μL and 5.03 × 10−6 ng/μL. The Tm-shift results of ten DNA samples from the dog-derived hookworms were consistent with their known species. In the clinical detection of 50 fecal samples from stray dogs, the positive rate of hookworm detected by Tm-shift (42%) was significantly higher than that by microscopic examination (34%), and the former can identify the Ancylostoma species. It is concluded that the Tm-shift method is rapid, specific, sensitive, and suitable for the clinical detection and zoonotic risk assessment of the dog-derived hookworm.

To solve the poor location accuracy of wireless sensor networks using Received Signal Strength Indication (RSSI) ranging. Time Of Flight (TOF) ranging is used to ensure the accuracy based on two optional physical layer of Impulse Radio-Ultra Wide-Band (IR-UWB) and Chirp Spread Spectrum (CSS) in IEEE802.15.4a. In this paper, we designed ranging module utilizing CSS and UWB. In the Line Of Sight (LOS) and None Line Of Sight (NLOS) environments ranging accuracy test is implemented, the test results show that the IR-UWB ranging technology can achieve higher ranging accuracy and better multipath resistance compared to CSS.

Inertia force is an important factor for operation stability and stamping precision of high-speed punch; adjusting drive torque of high-speed punch can realize effective control of inertia force. In this paper, a kind of 600 KN multilink high-speed punch inertia force balancing mechanism was designed. The calculation model of ideal inertia force was proposed based on conservation of energy and numerical analysis method. In addition, the calculation model of ideal driving torque were analyzed, simplified, and corrected by using numerical calculation and simulation methods, which solved the problem of controlling inertia force from the perspective of driving torque and realized the stability strategy planning of high-speed multilink punch press. Finally, the proposed ideal driving torque calculation model was simulated and verified by ADAMAS and bottom-dead-point accuracy test was carried out.

Emergency Reporting Application is an android-based application that serves to help the community in reporting the emergency condition. This application allows users to choose and contact the emergency services office, without the need to notice their position and phone number. Selection of emergency services office is also automatically selected by the system by taking into account the distance between the complainant and the emergency services office. The selected emergency services office is the nearest emergency service office from the complainant so that the delay in coming assistance can be minimized. Therefore, this proposed application requires a GPS feature to recording, reporting and SMS positioning for message delivery of reports. The distance between the position of the complainant and the position of the emergency service office, in the form of latitude and longitude data, is requested using the Haversine formula taking into account the degree of curvature of the earth. Emergency service offices include police and hospital offices spread over 25 different districts. Furthermore, the reporter's position calculation results were compared with all selected emergency service offices and obtained 1 nearest emergency service office. Calculating the accuracy and delay value of the system will do system testing. Accuracy test results using the method of 100% Haversine and the average delay of the system is 4.5 seconds.

Canary (Canarium indicum L.) is an indigenous plant of Indonesia, which mainly grows in the eastern part of Indonesia, especially in the Maluku, North Sulawesi, and Seram islands. We believe that no scientific reports have been conducted about L-tryptophan content in Canarium indicum. Therefore, this study was conducted to determine the presence and quantitate the aromatic amino acid (L-tryptophan) in the canary protein hydrolysate by the spectrofluorometric method. The protein hydrolysate was prepared by two hydrolysis methods, enzymatic and alkaline hydrolysis. L-tryptophan can be differentiated from tyrosine directly without using any reagent by excitation of the sample at 295 nm in order to avoid tyrosine emission. The equation of calibration curve correlation using standard in the range 0.5-5 ppm was y = 6632.3x - 845.42 and correlation coefficient of 0.9997, while the coefficient of variance in linear regression was 1.29%. The detection limit and quantification limit obtained were 0.116 ppm and 0.35 ppm respectively. The recoveries of the accuracy test were obtained in the range of 95-96%. The relative standard deviation of intra-assay precision tests were obtained in the range of 0.5-1.8%, while the intermediate precision in the range of 2.18-3.74%. L-tryptophan was detected in all samples (papain, pepsin, and alkaline hydrolysate), with concentrations 5.6, 5 and 1.53 mg/100mg of protein respectively. The used fluorometric method complied with the validation requirements and can be used to analyze L-tryptophan in samples containing tyrosine without overlapping of spectra and without the use of any specific reagent.
