AbstractOne of the prime astrophysical interests of the Observatorium Bosscha is, and has always been, double star research: visual double star research with the double-60 cm Zeiss telescope (dedicated in 1928), and theoretical research of evolved massive spectroscopic binaries (since 1972). For one thing, this is the very reason that this IAU Colloquium No. 80, celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Observatorium Bosscha in Lembang, is devoted to binary astrophysics.Up to now, visual, photographic, and photometric tools have been used for binary research at the Observatorium Bosscha. An important, essential additional tool for binary research is spectrographic equipment, in order to measure radial velocities of binary components.

The development of a new generation of high performance gas turbine engines requires gas turbines to be operated at very high inlet temperatures, which are much higher than the allowable metal temperatures. Consequently, this necessitates the need for advanced cooling techniques. Among the numerous cooling technologies, the film cooling technology has superior advantages and relatively favorable application prospect. The recent research progress of film cooling techniques for gas turbine blade is reviewed and basic principle of film cooling is also illustrated. Progress on rotor blade and stationary blade of film cooling are introduced. Film cooling development of leading-edge was also generalized. Effect of various factor on cooling effectiveness and effect of the shape of the injection holes on plate film cooling are discussed. In addition, with respect to progress of discharge coefficient is presented. In the last, the future development trend and future investigation direction of film cooling are prospected.

The development of new generation prefabricated reinforced concrete structure is still at an early stage in China. Reinforced concrete laminated slab, as an important horizontal load carrying member, is paid much attention to in research. Based on the research results about it in China, the progress of which is summarized, including the form, characteristics and experimental research of sandwich laminated slab, anti-ribbed laminated slab, and hollow laminated slab etc. Finally, the further research is prospected.

With the wide application of pumping concrete, and the increasing of pumping height and distance, more and more attention of researchers focus on the workability of pumping concrete. Traditionally, the research method of workability of pumping concrete is mainly experiment. With the increasing of pumping height and distance,experimental method for workability of pumping concrete becomes more difficult. Combining simulation computation and experimental method to solve pumping construction problems of concrete under complicated conditions is a feasible method. Research progress about experimental method and simulation computation of workability of pumping concrete are presented, which would provide research thinking and research method for combining simulation computation and experimental method.

With the continuous advancement of emerging technologies such as big data, cloud computing, Internet of Things, blockchain, artificial intelligence, and 5G communications, China's “new generation” high-tech companies are developing rapidly, but the loss of core employees restricts their healthy development. How to manage the core employees of “new generation” high-tech enterprises is a grim reality in front of theorists and industrialists. Based on the results of the current theoretical research on organizational commitment, the research group proposed a “new generation” high-tech enterprise core employee resignation early warning model to provide decision-making basis and methodological reference for the “new generation” high-tech enterprise high-quality development.

The Internet has become a major part of the global communications infrastructure supporting modern-day socio-economic development, social progress and technological innovation. Invented 30 years ago, today the Internet is facing severe challenges. Many countries have funded research projects on the new-generation Internet, such as GENI, FIND, FIRE and CNGI, in an effort to solve these challenges. In addition, over the past few years, the networking research community has engaged in an ongoing conversation about how to move the Internet forward, and there are now two different approaches towards Internet research. The first approach is based on using the existing Internet architecture to solve the major technical challenges—this is called ‘evolutionary’ research. The other, which is called the ‘clean slate’, involves the design of an entirely new Internet architecture. In the first part of this paper, the basic features of the next generation Internet and its principal contradictions are analysed. Then a survey of recent progress in the study of the next generation Internet in China is discussed. Finally, the focus and direction for the next step in research are presented as based on fundamental research into the international next generation Internet architecture, and the many new innovative demands placed on Internet architecture in recent years.

Tropical cyclone (hereafter as TC) is one of the serious environmental disasters. In order to promote theoretical research into prevention and control of TCs, the current developments and trends in research on economic loss assessment of TCs around the world need to be understood. In this paper, bibliometric visualization analysis is used to analyze research progress based on literature collected from the Web of Science Core Collection database. The evolution trend of years and countries, cooperation networks, major scholars, knowledge bases, key topics, hotspots and challenges were presented quantitatively through keyword co-occurrence analysis, burst strength analysis, cluster analysis and keyword strategy matrix. The results indicate that the USA currently has the most influential studies. The top four topics in this research field are the influence of TCs on forest ecosystem, human health, social and economic system, along with the research on the influence of TCs under climate change. In addition, more studies considering the vulnerability, variability and risk assessment of TCs need to be further investigated in the future. Through quantitative literature analysis and review, this paper can help interested scholars develop a deeper understanding of the current situation and future trends in research on economic loss assessment of TCs.
