Objective: The purpose of this study is to explore the role of sphingosine kinase 2 (SphK2) in the treatment of glioma, which is the most common primary tumor in the central nervous system. Methods: A total of 82 patients were included in this study, with 27 cases in the control group and 55 cases in the glioma group; the expressions of SphK2 and gp130 in the two groups were compared by immunohistochemical method, and the correlation between the two factors was analyzed. Results: Both SphK2 and gp130 were upregulated in the glioma group, and the two factors were significantly correlated. Conclusion: The high expression of SphK2 may play an important role in the occurrence, development, and diagnosis of glioma.

Objective: To evaluate the clinical efficacy of gefitinib in non-small cell lung cancer. Methods: A total of 45 patients with non-small cell lung cancer who received treatment in Taizhou Second People’s Hospital from January 2018 to January 2020 were selected as the subjects in this study, in which all of them were treated with gefitinib. Its efficacy and safety were evaluated. Results: The objective response rate was 53.33% and the disease control rate was 84.44%. After treatment, the levels of tumor markers were measured again, of which the levels of CA125 and CEA were significantly lower than before (P < 0.05). After treatment, the patients’ CD3+, CD4+, and CD4+/CD8+ were significantly lower than those before treatment, and CD8+ was significantly higher (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Gefitinib, which is a targeted therapy for non-small cell lung cancer, can reduce the level of serum tumor markers and improve the immune function. The curative effect is good, but more emphasis should be on the adverse reactions caused by a single drug use.

In recent years, seeking effective anti-angiogenic components and therapeutic methods from traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has been a hot spot in the treatment of malignant tumors. In particular, the active ingredients found in Chinese herbal extracts have shown strong inhibition of tumor neovascularization.

Objective: To investigate the epidemiological characteristics and genotypes of human papillomavirus (HPV) infection in Mianyang. Methods: The cervical samples of 27,040 patients, who visited the Department of Gynecology of The Third Hospital of Mianyang from January 2018 to January 2020, were collected. Results: The HPV-positive infection rate was 21.40% (5,787/27,040); the single HPV infection rate was 72.04% (4,169/5,787); the double HPV infection rate was 19.73% (1,142/5,787); the triple and above HPV infection rate was 8.22% (476/5,787); the top five high-risk HPV subtypes with the highest infection rates were HPV52, 16, 58, 53, and 51, while the top five low-risk HPV subtypes with the highest infection rates were HPV81, 42, 43, 6, and 11; there were significant differences in the HPV-positive infection rate, high-risk infection rate, low-risk infection rate, and multiple infection rate among different age groups (P < 0.05). Conclusion: The HPV infection rate in Mianyang was 21.4%, in which the majority of the cases were single infection; the high-risk HPV subtypes were HPV52, 16, 58, 53, and 51; the HPV-positive infection rate, high-risk infection rate, low-risk infection rate, and multiple infection rate were high in the middle but low at both ends in the context of age distribution; the top three age groups with the highest infection rates were 45-49, 40-44, and 30-34.

Objective: To discuss and analyze the clinical effect of auricular point sticking in lung cancer chemotherapy. Methods: Sixty-two patients with lung cancer treated with chemotherapy in Suqian Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital of Jiangxi Province were selected for case evaluation and analysis. The time span of the research was from June 2020 to June 2021. The patients were divided into two groups: a study group (n = 31) and a control group (n = 31) based on their medical record numbers. All the patients were treated with conventional western medicine before and after chemotherapy to prevent adverse reactions; however, the patients in the study group were also treated with auricular point sticking in addition to the former. The relevant indexes of the two groups were compared. Results: The incidence of adverse reactions was significantly lower in the study group compared to the control group (P < 0.05); the rate of symptomatic relief of the patients in the study group was higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05); the stress response indexes toward chemotherapy of the study group were better than those of the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Auricular point sticking for patients with lung cancer who are receiving chemotherapy can reduce the incidence of adverse reactions, alleviate clinical symptoms, such as chest distress, asthma, and poor appetite, significantly alleviate stress response caused by chemotherapy, as well as promote the treatment effect; thus, it is worthy of promotion.

Objective: To compare the clinical effect of complete thoracoscopic segmentectomy and pulmonary lobectomy for pulmonary nodules. Methods: In this study, 176 patients with pulmonary nodules were treated in Changshu Hospital Affiliated to Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine from January 2019 to June 2021; according to the type of surgery, the patients were divided into group A (complete thoracoscopic segmentectomy) and group B (complete thoracoscopic pulmonary lobectomy), and the clinical effects were analyzed. Results: The intraoperative blood loss, postoperative drainage volume, postoperative hospitalization days, and lung function of patients in group A were significantly better than those in group B (P < 0.05), while there was no significant difference in the number of dissected lymph nodes. Conclusion: The clinical effect of complete thoracoscopic segmentectomy for patients with small pulmonary nodules is more significant; it does not only ensure lymph node dissection, but also improve surgical-related indicators and treatment safety as well as speed up the recovery of pulmonary function. Its clinical application value is worthy of key analysis by medical institutions.

Objective: To explore the effect of bevacizumab combined with neoadjuvant chemotherapy in advanced ovarian cancer and the occurrence of adverse reactions. Methods: A total of 80 patients with advanced ovarian cancer, treated in Affiliated People’s Hospital of Inner Mongolia Medical University from June 2019 to December 2020, were randomly divided into two groups. In the chemotherapy group, 40 patients were treated with neoadjuvant chemotherapy, while in the combined group, another 40 patients were treated with bevacizumab combined with neoadjuvant chemotherapy. The therapeutic effects were compared at the end of the treatment cycle. Results: There was no significant difference in the levels of CA125, CEA, and VEGF between the two groups before treatment. However, after the treatment cycle, the levels of CA125, CEA, and VEGF in the combined group were significantly better than those in the chemotherapy group (P < 0.05). At the same time, the incidence of adverse reactions of the chemotherapy group was 67.50%, which was significantly higher than that of the combined group (35.00%; P < 0.05). Conclusion: Bevacizumab combined with neoadjuvant chemotherapy for patients with advanced ovarian cancer has significant curative effect. The combined therapy reduces the levels of tumor markers and inflammatory factors, improves patients’ quality of life, as well as reduces adverse reactions. It has high clinical promotion value.
