Abstract A comprehensive study of the tribological performance of the Al-Zn-Mg-Cu/Al2O3 composite and its matrix alloy is presented in this paper, with a specific emphasis to identify and model the applicable wear conditions where the composite provides a minimum of 50% reduction in wear rate and 25% lowering of the friction coefficient. Two-body abrasion experiments following Taguchi L27 orthogonal design have been performed separately on alloy and composite materials, both prepared by the stir casting method. The influence of crucial control factors including silicon carbide (SiC) abrasive size, load, sliding distance, and velocity on the percentage variations of wear rates and friction coefficients between alloy and composite have been studied using the analysis of variance technique and full quadratic regression method. The dominant control factors are identified as abrasive size, load, and the interaction between abrasive size and load. This has been verified by establishing the influence of abrasive size and load on variations of wear mechanisms like microcutting, microploughing, and delamination, identified by means of in-depth characterization of worn surfaces and generated debris for both alloy and composite. The selection of applicable tribological condition for the composite has been accomplished by adopting the multi-response optimization technique based on combined desirability approach to obtain concurrent optimization of the percentage variations of wear rates and friction coefficients. Predictive models correlating the superiority of tribological performance of composite with abrasion conditions have been developed, and these are found to be accurate (errors <10%), as determined by confirmatory experiment.

Production technology of metal casting industry in Indonesia needs to be improved, especially in the manufacturing of spare parts and box engine made of gray cast iron which has various wall thick such as dove tale construction. Microstructure of gray cast iron is influenced by cooling rate during casting, chemical composition and melting treatment process (inoculation). The part which has the thinnest thickness has the fastest cooling therefore, the grain boundary is smaller compared to other section. As a result this part has highest hardness and difficult to be machined. This research is conducted to solve this problem by modifying melting and solidification treatment process. The research starting from micro structure analysis, composition and mechanical properties tests on the product, and then conducting modification treatment through Taguchi method approach. Experimental results obtained show that the best level settings to control factors which affect to the uniformity of the microstructure and mechanical properties in gray cast iron is the addition of seed inoculation super ® 75, as much as 0.25% with the method of inoculation material entering into the Transfer Ladle.Teknologi produksi pada industri pengecoran di Indonesia masih membutuhkan perbaikan terutama dalam pembuatan komponen mesin perkakas dan peralatan pabrik yang terbuat dari besi tuang kelabu yang mempunyai variasi ketebalan yang besar seperti konstruksi ekor burung (dove tale). Pada pengecoran, struktur mikro dari besi tuang kelabu sangat dipengaruhi oleh kecepatan pendinginan, komposisi kimia dan proses perlakuan pada logam cair (inokulasi). Bagian yang mempunyai ukuran paling tipis mempunyai kecepatan pendinigan paling tinggi karena itu ukuran butirnya jauh lebih kecil dari bagian lain, akibatnya bagian ini mempunyai kekerasan lebih tinggi dan sulit dilakukan pengerjaan mesin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperbaiki hal ini yang terjadi pada dove taledengan cara memodifikasi proses perlakuan pada cairan besi dan proses pendinginan. Penelitian dimulai dari analisa struktur mikro, pengujian komposisi kimia, pengujian sifat mekanis pada produk kemudian dilakukan modifikasi menggunakan pendekatan metode statistik Taguchi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengaturan terbaik yang dapat diperoleh untuk mendapatkan keseragaman struktur mikro dan sifat mekanis pada pengecoran besi tuang kelabu adalah penambahan seed inoculation super ® 75, sebesar 0.25% dengan metode pemasukan inokulasi kedalam Ladle pengangkut logam cair.Keywords: carbon, micro structure, hardness, inoculation

The article presents the results of mathematical experiments with the system «Social potential of childhood in the Russian regions». In the structure of system divided into three subsystems – the «Reproduction of children in the region», «Children’s health» and «Education of children», for each defined its target factor (output parameter). The groups of infrastructure factors (education, health, culture and sport, transport), socio-economic, territorial-settlement, demographic and en-vironmental factors are designated as the factors that control the system (input parameters). The aim of the study is to build a model îf «Social potential of childhood in the Russian regions», as well as to conduct experiments to find the optimal ratio of the values of target and control factors. Three waves of experiments were conducted. The first wave is related to the analysis of the dynam-ics of indicators for 6 years. The second – with the selection of optimal values of control factors at fixed ideal values of target factors. The third wave allowed us to calculate the values of the target factors based on the selected optimal values of the control factors of the previous wave.

The contact belt of the gate assembly is the main part of high pressure fittings. The serviceability of the fittings assembly as whole depends on the air-tightness and quality of the mating surfaces. The technology of diamond burnishing allows to increase the interface of the nodes by red ucing the surface roughness of the metal-to-metal seal. The real experience for improving of the fittings contact belt due to the use of diamond burnishing of the nozzles seats and the conical surface of the rods.

<p><em>This study aims to see the comparison of ethical behavior of accounting students of STIE Sakti Alam Kerinci with accounting students of STIE Sumatera Barat. This study will also look at the comparative ethical behavior between male students and female students as well as the ethical behavior of individuals who have internal locus of control factors with individuals who have external locus of control factors separately from each college. In addition, this study will also look at the effects of equity sensitivity (X<sub>1</sub>) and culture (X<sub>2</sub>)</em> <em>on the ethical behavior of accounting students. This study uses primary data collected by using questionnaires. The method of testing the comparative hypothesis in this study is T-test, then multiple linear regression is used to analyze the influence of equity sensitivity (X1) and culture (X2) on ethical behavior (Y).</em><em> </em><em>This study found that (1) the accounting students of STIE Sumatera Barat have more ethical behavior than accounting students of STIE Sakti Alam Kerinci, (2) there are no differences of ethical behavior among male students and female students of STIE Sakti Alam Kerinci as well as STIE Sumatera Barat, (3a) The accounting students of STIE Sakti Alam Kerinci have internal locus of control factors has more ethical behavior than accounting student have external locus of control factors, (3b) there is no difference of ethical behavior among accounting students of STIE Sumatera Barat based on locus of control factors, (4a) Equity sensitivity and culture affect the ethical behavior of accounting students of STIE Sakti Alam Kerinci, (4b) equity sensitivity affects the ethical behavior of accounting students of STIE Sumatera Barat, but culture does not affect the ethical behavior of accounting students of STIE Sumatera Barat.</em><em></em></p><p> </p><p>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat komparasi perilaku etis mahasiswa akuntansi STIE Sakti Alam Kerinci dengan mahasiswa akuntansi STIE Sumatera Barat. Penelitian ini melihat komparasi perilaku etis antara mahasiswa dengan mahasiswi akuntansi serta perilaku etis individu yang memiliki faktor internal <em>locus of control</em> dengan individu yang memiliki faktor eksternal <em>locus of control</em> secara terpisah dari masing-masing perguruan tinggi. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga melihat pengaruh dari <em>equity sensitivity</em> (X<sub>1</sub>) dan budaya (X<sub>2</sub>) terhadap perilaku etis mahasiswa akuntansi. Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer yang dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Metode pengujian hipotesis komparatif dalam penelitian ini adalah T-<em>test</em>, kemudian regresi linear berganda digunakan untuk menganalisa pengaruh <em>equity sensitivity </em>(X<sub>1</sub>) dan budaya (X<sub>2</sub>) terhadap perilaku etis (Y).
