Local Rapid Heat Treatment (LRHT) based on induction-heating methods can be used to form unique location-specific microstructures and properties in commercial titanium alloys while maintaining the bulk of the material in an initial, non-heat-treated condition. The present work is focused on practical aspects of LRHT application for microstructure/ mechanical properties improvement of some parts made of commercial titanium alloys. It is shown, that LRHT application could improve mechanical properties of such complicated part like turbine engine compressor blades, and two made of Ti-6Al-4V and VT22 titanium alloys goods after repair with Electron Beam Physical Vapor Deposition as well as with Build-up Welding.

The purpose of this paper is to study the effect of high temperature in injection molding process on mechanical properties of the warp-knitted and nonwoven composite fabrics (WNC)used in car interior. Tensile, tearing and peeling properties of WNC fabrics were tested after heat treatment under120, 140,160,180°C respectively. It was found that, after 140°C heat treatment, the breaking and tearing value of these WNC fabrics are lower than others. The results of this study show that this phenomenon is due to the material properties of fabrics. These high temperatures have no much effect on peeling properties of these WNC fabrics. It is concluded that in order to preserve the mechanical properties of these WNC fabrics, the temperature near 140°C should be avoided possibly during injection molding process.

C. C. Berndt advanced investigations of mechanical properties of thermal spray coatings under 4-point bending. He found that this investigation method is sensitive to the mechanical properties of thermal spray coatings. This paper contains the detailed investigation results for thermal spray coatings of zirconium dioxide under 4-point bending, i.e. tests of the specimens subjected to spraying at varying conditions and pre-test soaking with the various duration at 1100 °С.It was established how the mechanical properties of thermal spray coatings changed depending on the spraying mode and high temperature soaking. The test results show that the double heat treatment of coatings is more preferable than one-time heat treatment as it make the properties change linearly. It is more easily controllable during operation of the components with thermal spray coating.

Barite concrete with density grade of 3 and strength grade of C30 was prepared by mixing with different fineness of fly ash. The workability, mechanical properties and long-term high temperature performance of the prepared barite concrete were researched. Results show that the workability of barite concrete is improved by mixing with fly ash, and no segregation of mixture has been observed. The apparent density and 3d, 28d compressive strength of barite concrete are decreased obviously after mixing with fly ash. But with the increasing of the fineness of fly ash, the apparent density and 3d, 28d compressive strength of barite concrete have a slight increase. High temperature residual compressive strength is decreased with the increasing of temperature. The cycle times of heat treatment at 400°C only has a little effect on residual compressive strength of barite concrete.

Presents a literature review in the field of methods for strengthening titanium and its alloys by introducing various refractory particles into the matrix. The main problematic issues related to the chemical nature of refractory particles and titanium alloys that arise during hardening are briefly described. The main structural, physical and mechanical properties and morphology of such metal composite materials are described. The dependence of the influence of various refractory particles and their amount, as well as the effect of heat treatment on the physical and mechanical properties of microns based on titanium alloys, is presented.

In this paper, effect of the different forging processes on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the flat flat billets of TA15 titanium alloy was investigated. The flat billiets of 80 mm×150 mm×L sizes of TA15 titanium alloy are produced by four different forging processes. Then the different microstrure and properties of the flat billiets were obtained by heat treatment of 800 °C~850 °C×1 h~4h.The results show that, adopting the first forging temperature at T1 °C、slow cooling and the second forging temperature at T2°C 、quick cooling, the primary αphases content is just 10%, and there are lots of thin aciculate phases on the base. This microstructure has both high strength at room temperature and high temperature, while the properties between the cross and lengthwise directions are just the same. So the hot processing of the first forging temperature at T1 °C、slow cooling and the second forging temperature at T2°C 、quick cooling is choosed as the ideal processing for production of aircraft frame parts.
