As the impact factors of the waste Not-In-My-Back Yard (NIMBY) crisis are complex, and the scenario evolution path of it is diverse. Once the crisis is not handled properly, it will bring adverse effects on the construction of waste NIMBY facilities, economic development and social stability. Consequently, based on ground theory, this paper takes the waste NIMBY crisis in China from 2006 to 2019 as typical cases, through coding analysis, scenario evolution factors of waste NIMBY crisis are established. Furtherly, three key scenarios were obtained, namely, external situation (E), situation state (S), emergency management (M), what is more, scenario evolution law of waste NIMBY crisis is revealed. Then, the dynamic Bayesian network theory is used to construct the dynamic scenario evolution network of waste NIMBY crisis. Finally, based on the above models, Xiantao waste NIMBY crisis is taken as a case study, and the dynamic process of scenario evolution network is visually displayed by using Netica. The simulation results show that the scenario evolution network of Xiantao waste NIMBY crisis is basically consistent with the actual incident development process, which confirms the effectiveness and feasibility of the model.

Sustainable Urban Drainage System (SUDS) includes various drainage techniques designed to reduce the run-off flow, improve the water quality, and provide amenity or landscape features. However, selecting the appropriate SUDS technique depends on not only the technical characteristics but also the community's perception and preference. Therefore, this study aims to determine the impact factors on the probability of households' prioritization towards SUDS benefits in the context of Nhieu Loc - Thi Nghe sub-basin, including the benefits of flood reduction, environmental enhancement, and landscape improvement. Data processing methods used in this study consist of statistical tests and ordinal regression using SPSS software. The regression results show that the overall accurate prediction rate for the 3 priority levels of SUDS benefits ranges from 50% to 70%. Factors that statistically significantly influence the priority include household income, knowledge of SUDS, frequency of flooding, depth of flooding, the distance to the nearest park, the distance to the nearest water body, and the distance to the nearest flooded location. In particular, the proximity to the nearest park affects the priority choice for all SUDS benefits with the principle that households near the park will probably choose higher priority to SUDS benefits than those living further.

Identifying the factors that cause taxiing delay on airports is a prerequisite for optimizing aircraft taxiing schemes, and helps improve the efficiency of taxiing system. Few of current studies had quantified the potential influencing factors and further investigated their intrinsic relationship. In view of these problems, this paper uses ADS-B data to calculate taxiing delay time by restoring taxiing route and identifying key status points, and further analyzes the impact factors of airport taxiing delay by investigating the relationship between delay time and environmental data such as weather, wind, visibility etc. The case study in Guangzhou Baiyun Airport validates the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) is an autonomous body that has linkage with all the line departments, like Department of Fisheries (DoF), that works towards raising farmer’s income and involved in formulation of suitable strategies for empowering the farmers. In this study, ATMA impact factors among fish farmers were reviewed and discussed with the local officers. The impact factors considered were the types of culture, number of species cultured, yield disposition, marketing and expenditure in fish farming. It was observed, from a sample of 225 fish farmers, that Alappuzha, Ernakulam and Kollam districts responded more towards ‘type of culture’ and less towards ‘marketing’, whereas Kottayam and Thrissur districts responded more towards marketing. Among all the impact factors, expenditure on aquaculture was found to be significantly associated with income in all the five districts. This was followed by marketing (4 districts), yield disposition (3 districts), fish species cultured (3 districts) and type of culture (2 districts). On the contrary, it was observed that ATMA support was not similarly associated with these factors, especially for yield disposition and marketing in aquaculture. Therefore, suitable strategies are recommended to strengthen the supply chain management through ATMA.

Purpose – This paper aims to look at two well-respected cardiothoracic journals and one general medical journal over the period of a decade to find out any major differences in content and referencing to warrant the fact that the general journal should be ranked far higher than the specialist journals. Design/methodology/approach – The paper conducted citation analysis and comparison with impact factors (IFs) of two cardiothoracic journals, one American and one European, and one general medical journal over the period. Findings – The study concludes that although there was a significant amount of self-referenced non-citable material in the general medical journal, this probably did not alone account for its higher ranking. Research limitations/implications – The original articles were actually very highly cited, and perhaps, the visibility of the general medical journal could possibly be the main factor contributing to its high IF. Practical implications – In terms of citation, all contribution in an issue of a journal is not equal, and therefore, to evaluate work by looking at the IF of the journal in which it is published is not reliable. Originality/value – The study is based on an original citation and IF analysis, and the results should be of interest and value to all those concerned with the use of the IF to evaluate journals.

Exemplary for other than English-language psychology journals, the impact of recent Anglicization of five former German-language psychology journals on (1) authorship (nationality, i.e., native language, and number of authors, i.e., single or multiple authorships), (2) formal characteristics of the journal (number of articles per volume and length of articles), and (3) number of citations of the articles in other journal articles, the language of the citing publications, and the impact factors (IF) is analyzed. Scientometric data on these variables are gathered for all articles published in the four years before anglicizing and in the four years after anglicizing the same journal. Results reveal rather quick changes: Citations per year since original articles’ publication increase significantly, and the IF of the journals go up markedly. Frequencies of citing in German-language journals decrease, citing in English-language journals increase significantly after the Anglicization of former German-language psychology journals, and there is a general trend of increasing citations in other languages as well. Side effects of anglicizing former German-language psychology journals include the publication of shorter papers, their availability to a more international authorship, and a slight, but significant increase in multiple authorships.
