In view of its prototype in engineering application, a theoretical model of multi-supported nonlinear vibration isolation system installed on flexible foundation is studied, including derivation of system dynamic equations and analysis of system dynamic characteristics. For effectiveness evaluation of nonlinear vibration isolation systems, a generalized time-averaged power is proposed as an extension of classical theory of vibratory power flow, and a numerical solution method of time-averaged power is probed accompanying with the numerical solution of nonlinear dynamic equations. In a further concrete calculation example, an air spring vibration isolation system of a small UAV engine is numerically simulated based on Runge-Kutta method, and dynamic behavior and power flow transmission characteristics influenced by system parameters are investigated.

In this paper,a general dynamic model of the isolation coupled system which is composed of isolation object,nonlinear vibration isolation support,and flexible foundation is established,calculated method of applying vibration power flow to analyze isolation effectiveness is studied.Further more,as an calculation example,a air spring vibration isolation system of HS-700 engines is numerically simulated.Designs several low-frequency nonlinear vibration isolators and analyzes its vibration isolation effect.It discusses the effect of the vibration isolator parameters on the transmitted power flow of the system.The results provide a theoretical basis for the optimized design of nonlinear vibration isolation system.

A novel design of a two-stage nonlinear vibration isolation system, with each stage having a high-static-low-dynamic stiffness (HSLDS), is studied experimentally in this paper. The positive stiffness in each stage is realized by a metallic plate, and the corresponding negative stiffness is realized by a bistable carbon fiber–metal (CF) composite plate. An analytical model is developed as an aid to design a bistable composite plate with the required negative stiffness, and a static test of the plate is conducted to measure the actual stiffness of the plate. Dynamic tests of the two-stage isolator are carried out to determine the effectiveness of the isolator. Two tests are conducted, one with the bistable composite plates removed so that the isolator behaves as a linear device and one with the bistable composite plates fitted. An improvement in the isolator transmissibility of about 13 dB at frequencies greater than about 100 Hz is achieved when the bistable composite plates are added.

This paper presents the isolation of vibration through the acceleration feedback of the Kalman filter. In this paper, vibration isolation was analyzed both analytically and experimentally through the estimation of the Kalman filter (KF). A negative stiffness mechanism was used to reduce the level of vibration for the developed dynamic system. The technique of negative stiffness can provide stiffness of infinite level to low stiffness as well as disturbance generated by the ground vibration directly. The performance of an isolation system through a mechanism of negative stiffness was improved by the addition of acceleration feedback. Acceleration was measured using a microelectromechanical (MEMS) type accelerometer instead of traditional servo type accelerometers due to lower cost. However, the output of a microelectromechanical (MEMS) type accelerometer is usually noisy. To avoid this difficulty, an acceleration that was estimated by a Kalman filter was considered in the acceleration feedback instead of directly measured acceleration. The dynamic behaviors of the system were compared for both the Kalman-filtered acceleration and the directly measured acceleration feedback. It is observed that the former has a significant effect on the improvement of the characteristics of the vibration isolation systems than later.

The vibration isolation system using a pair of oblique springs or a spring-rod mechanism as a negative stiffness mechanism exhibits a high-static low-dynamic stiffness characteristic and a nonlinear jump phenomenon when the system damping is light and the excitation amplitude is large. It is possible to remove the jump via adjusting the end trajectories of the above springs or rods. To realize this idea, the article presents a vibration isolation system with a cam–roller–spring–rod mechanism and gives the detailed numerical and experimental studies on the effects of the above mechanism on the vibration isolation performance. The comparative studies demonstrate that the vibration isolation system proposed works well and outperforms some other vibration isolation systems.

Isolation system of the heat water pumps can be simplified as a double sources exciting and double output double-deck vibration isolation system model, expressions of transmitted power flow and vibration speed to the basement are deduced based on the double sources exciting and double output double-deck vibration isolation system electric-force(E-F) analog picture, the curves of power flow and vibration speed transmitted to basement how the upper deck vibration isolation and intermediate mass effect are drawn by using mat lab program. The results show that the adjusting the upper deck vibration isolation stiffness parameters has little effect on the amplitude of vibration power flow, increasing intermediate mass can move first peak to the low frequency, increasing intermediate mass can obviously reduce t transmitted power flow and transmitted vibration speed amplitude to the basement.

In this study, a novel vibration isolator is presented. The presented isolator possesses the controllable stiffness and can be employed in vibration isolation at a low-resonance frequency. The controllable stiffness of the isolator is obtained by manipulating the negative stiffness-based current in a system with a positive and a negative stiffness in parallel. By using an electromagnetic device consisting of permanent magnetic rings and coils, the designed isolator shows that the stiffness can be manipulated as needed and the operational stiffness range is large in vibration isolation. We experimentally demonstrate that the modeling of controllable stiffness and the approximation of the negative stiffness expressions are effective for controlling the resonance frequency and the transmissibility of the vibration isolation system, enhancing applications such as warship stealth technology, vehicles suspension system, and active vibration isolator.
