With the deployment of Connected and Automated Vehicles in the coming decades, road transportation will experience a significant upheaval. CAVs (Connected and Autonomous Vehicles) have been a main emphasis of Transportation and the automotive sector, and the future of transportation system analysis is widely anticipated. The examination and future development of CAVs technology has been the subject of numerous researches. However, as three essential kinds of road users, pedestrians, bicyclists, and motorcyclists have experienced little to no handling. We explored the influence of CAVs on non-motorized mobility in this article and seven various issues that CAVs face in the environment.

Recently, electric vehicles (EV) have gained much attention as a potential enabling technology to support CO2 emissions reduction targets. Relative to their internal combustion vehicle counterparts, EVs consume less energy per unit distance, and add the benefit of not emitting any carbon dioxide in operation and instead shift their emissions to the existing local fleet of power generation. However, the true success of EVs depends on their successful integration with the supporting infrastructure systems. Building upon the recently published methodology for the same purpose, this paper presents a “systems-of-systems” case study assessing the impacts of EVs on these three systems in the context of Abu Dhabi. For the physical transportation system, a microscopic discrete-time traffic operations simulator is used to predict the kinematic state of the EV fleet over the duration of one day. For the impact on the intelligent transportation system (ITS), the integration of EVs into Abu Dhabi is studied using a multi-domain matrix (MDM) of the Abu Dhabi Department of Transportation ITS. Finally, for the impact on the electric power system, the EV traffic flow patterns from the CMS are used to calculate the timing and magnitude of charging loads. The paper concludes with the need for an intelligent transportation-energy system (ITES) which would coordinate traffic and energy management functionality.

This paper analyses the scientific collaboration network formed by the Brazilian universities that investigate in dentistry area. The constructed network is based on the published documents in the Scopus (Elsevier) database covering a period of 10 (ten) years. It is used social network analysis as the best methodological approach to visualize the capacity for collaboration, dissemination and transmission of new knowledge among universities. Cohesion and density of the collaboration network is analyzed, as well as the centrality of the universities as key-actors and the occurrence of subgroups within the network. Data were analyzed using the software UCINET and NetDraw. The number of documents published by each university was used as an indicator of its scientific production.

Since 1973 the Canadian Association for Information Science (CAIS/ACSI) has consecutively held 43 annual conferences. The purpose of this study is to better understand the research and collaborative activities in the community of CAIS conferences, based on a social network analysis (SNA) approach. A total of 827 papers from 778 authors have been presented in CAIS for the period of 1993 to 2015, in association with 209 different organizations and 25 countries. A component analysis that has been applied to the collaboration network has discovered research collaboration patterns. This study contributes to discovering collaborative research activities and formation through the CAIS conference and to the literature of the scientific collaboration in the LIS field. Depuis 1973, l'Association canadienne de sciences de l'information (ACSI/CAIS) a tenu 43 congrès annuels consécutifs. Le but de cette étude est de mieux comprendre les activités de recherche et de collaboration dans la communauté de l’ACSI, à l’aide d’une approche d’analyse des réseaux sociaux (ARS). Un total de 827 articles de 778 auteurs ont été présentés à l’ACSI dans la période 1993-2015, en association avec 209 organisations différentes et 25 pays. L’analyse des composantes du réseau de collaboration met en lumière l’existence de patrons de collaboration de recherche au sein de la communauté. Cette étude contribue à l’étude des activités  de collaboration au sein des congrès de l’ACSI ainsi qu’à la littérature sur la collaboration scientifique dans le domaine BSI.

In this paper, we analyze two social network datasets of contemporary musicians constructed from allmusic.com (AMG), a music and artists' information database: one is the collaboration network in which two musicians are connected if they have performed or produced an album together, and the other is the similarity network in which they are connected if they were musically similar according to the music experts. We find that, while both networks exhibit typical features of social networks such as high transitivity (clustering), we find that they differ significantly in some key network features such as the degree and the betweenness distributions. We believe that this highlights the fundamental differences in the construction mechanism (self-organized collaboration and human-perceived similarity) of the new networks.

This proposal is the extended work in implementation of a framework of topic-centered collaboration network. A goal of this study is to investigate the question of: In which topics and in what extent researchers collaborate with others? Topic-centered collaboration networks for two scholarly journals in the field of information science are constructed using bibliographic datasets for the past five years. This proposal contributes to the areas of both collaboration social network and big metadata.

Sebagai bagian dari sistem transportasi nasional, Transportasi Lalu Lintas dan Jalan harus dikembangkan untuk mewujudkan potensi dan peran, keamanan, kemakmuran, ketertiban lalu lintas dan angkutan jalan dalam rangka mendukung pembangunan ekonomi dan pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi, otonomi daerah, dan akuntabilitas negara. Penelitian ini menggunakan metoda penelitian hukum normatif, yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan memahami siapa yang dimaksud degan penyelenggara jalan dan juga untuk mengetahui dan memahami bagaimana pertanggung jawaban penyelenggara jalan sebagai subyek hukum.
