In the 21st century, in the era of universal globalization and digitalization, one of the most important parameters and criteria for the effectiveness and demand for a manufactured product or service is competitiveness, realized by choosing the right and effective competitive strategies. To identify and distinguish from the whole variety of competitive strategies that will take into account and reflect the challenges of the digital economy, it is very important to identify the main, key strategies, or in other words, the base from which you can later build and develop an individual strategy that reflects the goals and objectives of the organization participating in the digital economy market.

The so-called collaborative or sharing economy constitutes a multifaceted concept of increasing relevance and evolving in definition that will constitute the focus of our study. This article is presented methodologically as a macro-synthesis of the main trends of the economy, from its local and global spheres, in the convergence that can be glimpsed from the new phenomenon that we are dealing with of neo-capitalism based essentially on digital platforms and media. Some have already advanced it as turbo-capitalism or capitalism 3.0, in increasing expansion from the analysis of massive data from digital platforms. The resulting greater efficiency of decentralization and heterogeneity can be exploited by communities. We claim the need to support the constitution of public support that can constitute the response of the government to the multiple new challenges posed by what we are calling as “platform neocapitalism”, which dilutes countries in a planetary and accelerated scale, unimaginable at the beginning of the present 21st century. Keywords: sharing economy, digital platforms, collaborative economy

The paper shows that the main limit to the growth of "digitalization" in the XXI century may be not so much the limits of technology development, but rather the difficulties with staffing such a knowledge-intensive process as digital development. This problem is mainly associated with a decrease in the rate of growth of the World's population, which is determined by other social, economic, and factors. The personnel problem of the development of the digital economy is based on the need to maintain the number of researchers and the intensity of solving the problems of economic and social development through the creation and implementation of digital technologies. Solving this problem in the coming decades may face a chronic shortage of specialists to implement the most ambitious plans.

The article examines the tradition of teaching economic theory at Moscow University since the late 19th to the early 21st century through basic textbooks, which reflect the specificity, theoretical and practical problems of the corresponding historical periods. The narrative proposed shows the emergence of innovative textbooks that embody the breakthroughs in both the subject and method of economic theory and the methodology for its teaching. Apprehension of students and recognition of colleagues have become well-deserved attributes of manuals by A.I. Chuprov, N.A. Tsagolov and Yu.N. Cheremnykh. As well as many others, they absorbed, developed, and passed on from generation to generation the experience of teaching fundamental economic disciplines. Drawing on the «pendulum principle» widely used in the research of various intellectual thoughts, the authors show the main features of the new generation of textbooks that will be in demand by students and teachers shortly. While maintaining consistency in reflecting economic reality, the new manuals should meet the requirements of digital economy, such as fundamental and, at the same time, practical orientation of students. According to the authors, basic courses and textbooks on economic theory will be more interactive while their content expansion will occur due to behavioral aspects at both micro- and macrolevels. That will allow students to learn the principles of mainstream and alternative theoretical approaches to solving urgent practical problems.
