Background Onkofar Health Devices Inc. offers solutions and service for safe and accurate preparation of anticancer agents. Due to the necessity of specific instructions for the drug preparation systems and the widespread use of services including personnel, the company has to train the personnel employed as oncology pharmacy practitioner technicians. Purpose This study aimed to investigate the contribution of the training program to the theoretical knowledge and the opinions of the participants about the training by retrospectively analyzing the related data. Methods The training program consisted of a comprehensive theoretical part and an applied practical part. Participants took pre-tests and post-tests and filled out a standard training evaluation form. Between November 2014 and September 2018, 100 people participated in the training. This study included 71 participants' pre-test and post-test results and 72 participants' evaluation forms. Results The test results showed that the post-test score was higher in all participants. There was a 34% increase between the average of scores. The improvement percentage was at least 9%, whereas the most considerable improvement was 61%. Overall, almost all of the participants conveyed their positive thoughts about the training. The participants' interest seemed to be mostly related to their applied practice. Conclusions Increased post-test scores showed an increase in theoretical knowledge level. The training was found to meet the expectations and needs to a great extent. Participants' opinions contributed to the shaping of the educational content for future training programs. This study showed that the training program provided improvement and value for participants.

This article examines the use of electronic resources in teaching the subject “Innovations in History: Technologies, Models and Methods”, which draws conclusions from the scientific analysis of many years of pedagogical experience accumulated in our Republic. This is important, because it is based on a standard training program and corresponding work program.

Endotracheal intubation (EI) in domestic cats is an important skill that veterinary students learn in order to perform anesthesia safely in this species. Implementing a 3D-printed larynx model (LaryngoCUBE) during the instruction process may improve student’s learning of EI in felines. Twenty-two third-year students performed EI in cats with standard training (ST), and 16 students trained with the model (MT) the day before the laboratory. It was evaluated whether training with the model decreases the time and number of EI attempts, students’ perceived difficulty performing EI using a visual analog score (VAS; 0 cm = very easy, 10 cm = extremely difficult; median [minimum–maximum]), and the incidence of failure to perform EI. The EI time on ST (58 [18–160] seconds) was longer, but not statistically different from MT (29 [13–120] seconds; p = .101). The number of EI attempts on ST (2 [1–3]) was higher than MT (1 [1–3]; p = .005). The VAS on the ST and MT were 4.5 (0.0–10.0) cm and 3.0 (0.2–10.0) cm, respectively ( p = .029). The failure rate was 27% on the ST and 25% on the MT ( p = 1.000). Students who practiced with a larynx model took fewer attempts to perform EI, tended to be faster, and found that EI was easier. However, the EI success rate in MT was not improved.

The article describes the problem of the current state of the all-Russian Olympiad of schoolchildren: formed accessible creative environment for children with maximum coverage of students in the school stage of the all-Russian Olympiad in all subjects in all schools of the country, on the one hand, and the lack of systematic training with coverage of all subject teachers in all schools of regions of Russia, on the other hand. The structure and approximate content of the standard training program for subject teachers as school mentors on the specifics of preparing students to participate in the all-Russian Olympiad are presented.

Health professionals are among the most vulnerable to work stress and emotional exhaustion problems. These health professionals include tutors and resident intern specialists, due to the growing demand for the former and the high work overload of the latter. Mindfulness training programs can support these professionals during times of crisis, such as the current global pandemic caused by the coronavirus-19 disease. The objective of this study was to compare the effectiveness of an abbreviated Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) training program in relation to a standard training program on the levels of mindfulness, self-compassion, and self-perceived empathy in tutors and resident intern specialists of Family and Community Medicine and Nursing. A total of 112 professionals attached to six Spanish National Health System teaching units (TUs) participated in this randomized and controlled clinical trial. Experimental Group (GE) participants were included in the standard or abbreviated MBSR programs. The Five Facet Mindfulness Questionnaire (FFMQ), the Self-Compassion Scale short form (SCS-SF), and the Jefferson Scale of Physician Empathy (JSPE) were administered three times during the study: before, immediately after, and 3 months after the intervention. Adjusted covariance analysis (ANCOVA), using pretest scores as the covariate, showed a significant increase in mindfulness (F(2,91) = 3.271; p = 0.042; η2 = 0.067) and self-compassion (F(2,91) = 6.046; p = 0.003; η2 = 0.117) in the post-test visit, and in self-compassion (F(2,79) = 3.880; p = 0.025; η2 = 0.089) in the follow-up visit, attributable to the implementation of the standard training program. The standard MBSR and MSC training program improves levels of mindfulness and self-compassion, and promotes long-lasting effects in tutors and resident intern specialists. New studies are needed to demonstrate the effectiveness of abbreviated training programs.

Development of a “disaster storyteller (relater)” training program is necessary for sustainable and effective disaster management and tradition. In this paper, we observed a training program of atomic bombing storytellers (relater), who survived the bombing of Hiroshima, and legacy successors, who did not experience it. In addition, we conducted an interview survey of the Hiroshima City Hall administrative staff and eight tellers who completed the course program, as well as an analysis of training log data. The results showed that all interviewees who completed the program evaluated it positively, and many active storytellers completed the training every year. Finally, a standard training program for disaster storytellers was designed and proposed based on survey results.

Stress is one of the most common problems among healthcare professionals, as they are exposed to potentially stressful and emotionally challenging situations in the workplace. Mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) training programs have been shown to decrease stress. The objective of this study was to compare the effectiveness of an abbreviated 4-weeks MBSR training program in relation to a standard 8-weeks one on the stress levels. A controlled and randomized clinical trial was designed, in which 112 tutors and resident intern specialists in Family and Community Medicine and Nursing of six Spanish National Health System teaching units (TUs) participated. Participants included in the experimental groups (EGs) received a MBRS training program (standard or abbreviated), while control group (CG) participants did not receive any intervention. The stress levels were assessed by the Perceived Stress Questionnaire (PSQ) in three different moments during the study: before, immediately after, and 3 months after the intervention. Adjusted covariance analysis (ANCOVA), using pretest scores as the covariate, showed a significant reduction in stress (F(2,91) = 5.165; p = 0.008; η2 = 0.102) in the post-test visit, attributable to the implementation of the standard training program, but without the maintenance of its effects over time. No significant impact of the abbreviated training program on stress levels was observed in the intergroup comparison. A standard 8-weeks MBSR training program aimed at tutors and resident intern specialists in Family and Community Medicine and Nursing produces significant improvements in stress levels compared with the abbreviated intervention and no intervention. New studies about abbreviated training programs are needed to provide effective treatments which improve well-being of these professionals.
