AbstractThis paper formally compares some central notions from two well-known formalisms for rule-based argumentation, DeLP and ASPIC+. The comparisons especially focus on intuitive adequacy and inter-translatability, consistency, and closure properties. As for differences in the definitions of arguments and attack, it turns out that DeLP’s definitions are intuitively appealing but that they may not fully comply with Caminada and Amgoud’s rationality postulates of strict closure and indirect consistency. For some special cases, the DeLP definitions are shown to fare better than ASPIC+. Next, it is argued that there are reasons to consider a variant of DeLP with grounded semantics, since in some examples its current notion of warrant arguably has counterintuitive consequences and may lead to sets of warranted arguments that are not admissible. Finally, under some minimality and consistency assumptions on ASPIC+ arguments, a one-to-many correspondence between ASPIC+ arguments and DeLP arguments is identified in such a way that if the DeLP warranting procedure is changed to grounded semantics, then ’s DeLP notion of warrant and ASPIC+ ’s notion of justification are equivalent. This result is proven for three alternative definitions of attack.

Objective: To compare the clean intermittent self-catheterization (CISC) with continuous indwelling catheterization (CIDC) in relieving acute urinary retention (AUR) due to benign enlargement of prostate (BEP). Materials and Methods :A total 60 patients attending in urology department of Dhaka Medical college hospital were included according to inclusion criteria ,Patients were randomized by lottery into two groups namely group –A and group –B for CISC and IDC drainage respectively . Thus total 60 patients 30 in each group completed study. Results : Most men can safely be managed as out-patients after AUR due to BPH. The degree of mucosal congestion and inflammation within the bladder was found to be lower in those using CISC and the bladder capacity in these patients was also found higher.Patients with an IDC had a high incidence of UTIs then that of patients with CISC. During the period of catheterization the incidence of UTI was 43.3% in group B in comparison to 40% in group A; before TURP 36% in group B in comparison to 10% incidence in group A.According to patient’s opinion CISC is better than IDC in the management of AUR. Experiencing bladder spasm, reporting blood in urine, management difficulties, incidence and severity of pain were less in CISC group, and the method of CISC was well accepted by patients as well as their family members. Conclusion: From the current study it may be suggested that CISC is better technique for management of AUR patient due to BPH than IDC. It can also be very helpful when surgery must be delayed or avoided due to any reasons in this group of patients. Bangladesh Journal of Urology, Vol. 21, No. 2, July 2018 p.105-110

In this paper, we discuss two problems on asymmetric quantum error-correcting codes (AQECCs). The first one is on the construction of a [[12, 1, 5/3]]2 asymmetric quantum code, we show an impure [[12, 1, 5/3 ]]2 exists. The second one is on the construction of AQECCs from binary cyclic codes, we construct many families of new asymmetric quantum codes with dz> δ max +1 from binary primitive cyclic codes of length n = 2m-1, where δ max = 2⌈m/2⌉-1 is the maximal designed distance of dual containing narrow sense BCH code of length n = 2m-1. A number of known codes are special cases of the codes given here. Some of these AQECCs have parameters better than the ones available in the literature.

We introduce a general framework for exploring the problem of selecting a committee of representatives with the aim of studying a networked voting rule based on a decentralized large-scale platform, which can assure a strong accountability of the elected. The results of our simulations suggest that this algorithm-based approach is able to obtain a high representativeness for relatively small committees, performing even better than a classical voting rule based on a closed list of candidates. We show that a general relation between committee size and representatives exists in the form of an inverse square root law and that the normalized committee size approximately scales with the inverse of the community size, allowing the scalability to very large populations. These findings are not strongly influenced by the different networks used to describe the individuals’ interactions, except for the presence of few individuals with very high connectivity which can have a marginal negative effect in the committee selection process.

Sentiment analysis is a technique to analyze the people opinion, attitude, sentiment and emotion towards any particular object. Sentiment analysis has the following steps to predict the opinion of a review sentences. The steps are preprocessing, feature selection, classification and sentiment prediction. Preprocessing is the main important step and it consists of many techniques. They are Stop word Removal, punctuation removal, conversion of numbers to number names. Stemming is another important preprocessing technique which is used to transform the words in text into their grammatical root form and is mainly used to improve the retrieval of the information from the internet. It is applied mainly to get strengthen the retrieval of the information. Many morphological languages have immense amount of morphological deviation in the words. It triggered vast challenges. Many algorithms exist with different techniques and has several drawbacks. The aim of this paper is to propose a rule based stemmer that is a truncating stemmer. The new stemming mechanism in this paper has brought about many morphological changes. The new rule based morphological variation removable stemming algorithm is better than the existing other algorithms such as New Porter, Paice/Lovins and Lancaster stemming algorithm

Unless special precautions are taken, the experimental determination of two-beam structure factors to better than 1 % may include contributions from neighbouring n-beam interactions. In any particular experimental configuration, corrections for such contributions are easily carried out using the modified two-beam structure factor formalism developed recently (Juretschke 1984), once the full indexing of the pertinent n-beam interactions is known. The method is illustrated for both weak and strong primary reflections and its applicability in special cases, as well as for less than perfect crystals, is discussed.

Aim of the research is to find out the Work value among married and unmarried person’s. So investigator selected two groups one is married and other is unmarried persons, both groups have 200 persons. In one group has 113 married and other one groups has 87 unmarried persons. The all subjects were randomly selected. Data were collected from Ahmadabad district. Scale was use for data collection is personal datasheet and Work value scale developed by super (1970) and this scale was translated into Gujarati by Jalawadiya (2002), and data were analysis by ‘t’ test. Result show, There is no significant mean difference of Work value between married and unmarried persons. There is no significant difference of the Work value of joint and nuclear families. The high income persons work value is better than the low incomes.

Embedding rules into Web applications, and distributed applications in general, seems to constitute a significant task in order to accommodate desired expressivity features in such environments. Various methodologies and reasoning modules have been proposed to manage rules and knowledge on the Web. The main objective of the chapter is to survey related work in this area and discuss relevant theories, methodologies and tools that can be used to develop rule-based applications for the Web. The chapter deals with both ways that have been formally defined for modeling a domain of interest: the first based on standard logics while the second one stemmed from the logic programming perspective. Furthermore, a comparative study that evaluates the reasoning engines and the various knowledge representation methodologies, focusing on rules, is presented.

Wikipedia has recently become a popular platform for knowledge sharing and creation. However, the enormously increasing amount of editing has caused management problems with efficiency, accuracy, and convenience for Wikipedia administrators. Therefore, this study aimed to develop an intelligent agent system based on Web 3.0, the evaluation agent system (EAS), to solve these problems. The EAS is characterized by hybrid Web techniques, artificial intelligence, integration of management guidelines, retrieval of real-time information, and the transfer of cross-platform data and includes the following three systems: the testing agent, the wiki agent, and the rule-based expert system (RBES) agent. Because the RBES was central to the EAS, 29 university students were included in the study to examine the effectiveness of the RBES compared to the conventional approach to administration. The findings revealed that the RBES was better than the conventional approach in accuracy, efficiency, operation convenience, and fatigue strength.

Eleven laboratories across Canada took part in a comparative study of modified versions of the “FDA” and “USDA” methods for the detection of Listeria monocytogenes in foods and environmental samples. Both were modified by the inclusion of additional plating media and the use of modified Fraser broth in the modified “FDA” method. Approximately 92% of the positive samples were detected after 24 h of enrichment. Testing of routine samples by the participating laboratories showed no significant difference (p<0.05) in ability to isolate L. monocytogenes by either the modified “FDA” or “USDA” methods. However, the modified “FDA” method isolated significantly more positives (16.8%) from the spiked foods/controls than the modified “USDA” method (p<0.05). For all samples tested by both methods in the same laboratory, again the modified “FDA” method significantly out performed the “USDA” version by approximately 6% (p<0.05). However, the spiked foods/controls tested by both methods in the same laboratory showed no difference (p<0.05) in their ability to isolate L. monocytogenes. Overall, the modified “FDA” and “USDA” methods were comparable (within 1.0%) in their ability to isolate this microorganism. The “USDA” preenrichment broth maintained its initial pHbetter. Modified Fraser broth, in principle, proved to be useful as a screening tool but is not very selective. Oxford agar proved to be marginally better than lithium chloride-phenylethanol-moxalactam medium and significantly (p<0.05) better than modified Oxford agar in isolating L. monocytogenes.
