Stress incontinence occurs due to the inability to control an urge to urinate, which affects the quality of daily life. Although there is an existing therapeutics with polymer mesh tape, it is hard to fix around the urethra to restore the function of the pubourethral ligament. Therefore, in this research, an infra-obturator tension (IOT) sling was introduced to minimize the mobility of the bladder and urethra against intra-abdominal pressure. To verify the IOT performance, two different hypotheses were formulated: The hardness and volume of the IOT support the urethra and help prevent it from deforming by intra-abdominal pressure. The rotatory motion of the IOT can bend the urethra at the contact point and help restore the function of pubourethral ligament to increase vaginal tension. For the first hypothesis, a finite element simulation was conducted using three-dimensional geometrical model obtained by the computed tomography images of patients. For the second hypothesis, surgeons performed an IOT insertion operation and analyzed the sling rotation from the patients’ CT images (mean: 21∘). From the results, the mobility of the urethra was decreased because of IOT insertion. The mobility was also decreased because of the subsequent fibrotic changes from the encapsulation of the IOT.

The use of technologies is more common in daily life; working with technologies might be associated with positive experiences such as flow. However, there is little empirical research on flow experiences in technology settings. The main aim of this study was to confirm the three-dimensional construct of flow, i.e., absorption, enjoyment, and intrinsic interest, among 517 Information and Communication Technology users [234 students whose mean age was 23 yr. ( SD = 3.8)] from different areas of study, mainly Law, Public Administration, Chemistry, and Psychology, and 283 employees [whose mean age was 33 yr. ( SD = 7.8)] of 21 different companies from various sectors of production, namely, public administration, industrial production, and services. Analysis showed, as expected, flow is a three-dimensional psychological construct and invariant among samples of technology users. Practical and theoretical implications as well as further research are discussed.

The effect of androgens on pituitary response to luteinizing-hormone-releasing hormone (LHRH) and their ability to modify effects of 17β-estradiol (E2) on pituitary responsiveness to LHRH were tested in ovariectomized rats maintained on a daily dose of 0.25 μg estradiol benzoate per rat for 6 d before androgen administration.Testosterone propionate (TP) (4, 40, 400, or 4000 μg per rat), administered 24 h before LHRH (500 ng per rat), had no significant effect on luteinizing hormone (LH) or follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) response. Similar doses of dihydrotestosterone (DHT) did not significantly alter the LH response but significantly suppressed the FSH response. Even the lowest dose completely blocked the FSH response to LHRH. TP in combination with 4 or 400 μg of E2 suppressed the stimulatory effect of E2 on both LH and FSH response to LHRH in a dose-related manner. DHT and E2 in combination affected LH response inconsistently, whereas their ratio determined FSH response; there was pronounced inhibition of FSH response in rats given high doses of DHT combined with low doses of E2; DHT inhibition of FSH response in animals receiving 4 μg of DHT with 400 μg E2 was partially overcome by the stimulatory effect of E2. Our results indicate that TP and DHT affect LH and FSH response to LHRH differently. The ratio of androgen to estrogen is important in determining the response to LHRH.

With the advancement of the computer technology, there are now various kinds of computer games, especially race games (RAC). However, there are still many issues in race games. The first problem is that the interactivity is not fully-fledged. Information can only be input to the computers by manipulators without any feedback from the computers. The second problem is that players cannot pay attention to the information about the road conditions while they are driving. The main reason is that the monitor is usually too small to show the 3-D(three-dimensional) scenes of the game and it is hard for players to notice the road conditions. In order to figure out these problems, we designed a voice interaction system to improve the game experience. In the future, this technique will have a bright prospect. On one hand, this invention can be applied to VR games which will be one of the most popular research directions. While on the other hand, this invention can also be applied to automatic drive which will definitely change people’s daily life.
