Based on field research in the Central African Republic, this article discusses several social and economic challenges to conservation programmes that include community development components. These interrelated challenges include immigration as people elsewhere are attracted to economic opportunities, the lack of tenure of land and natural resources, diversification of economic and subsistence strategies, ethnic diversity and the lack of a conservation ethic. Addressing these challenges requires fundamental socio-economic change.

Muslim minority exists in many part of Indonesia. Some areas that present muslim minority such as Menado in North Sulawesi, great area in Bali, Papua and West Papua at large. Those regions reflect that muslim live which is not similar with other muslim majority. Therefore, this research will explore madrasah in engaging empowering individual capacity in muslim minority. In short, this study will focus on madrasa role in enhancing muslim capacity in West Papua. This study conducted in West Papua Province. There are one city and twelve counties through the territory. Qualitative approach was utilized in multisite case study type. In-depth interview and non-participant observation were employed in collecting data. Field research was carried out on March to June 2013. Interview was performed with teacher, administrator, and educational bureaucracy. Furthermore, observation was presented in many activities, teaching and learning processes, and community development programs. Complementing data collection, focus group discussions were held in universities for series meeting. Another step to comply with triangulation is scholars consultation and peer-reviewed to ensure the research validity. This research shows that there are differentiation between muslim majority and minority in Indonesian society. Started from curriculum enhancement to program development formulate multicultural society. Self empowerment, entrepreneurship and skill improvement of movement were taken to ensure that madrasah establishments contribute to the society. Despite a controversial portrayal that media endorsed, madrasah and pesantren already demonstrate a great contribution during foundation of Indonesia in a nation. Madrasah also engage in civil society discourse, educational progress, promoting cultural awareness, and raising tolerance on religious variety. Through those activities, one of the major concerns is community development. This program was targeted to community educational awareness in madrasah surrounding area. They are running actions in term of basic need of those communities such as fishing, and farm treatment. In line up with those programs, it is to target the workforce problem. Muslim communities face high unskilled workers. Therefore, this program that ruined is one of the problem solving. On the other hand, religious understanding is also another concern. Students still need to attend classes in the morning to afternoon. They participate on those programs on evening and holidays. This progress is only to complement students‟ skill. However, tradition and culture are among problem in implementing those objectives. Communication and discussion effort were constructed to considerate appreciation. Observing the progress of madrasah in muslim minority is appropriate. It shows that there is a significant contribution to enhance muslim current modernity in the region. Moreover, there is respond towards ideas of change in dealing with environment and progress. Finally, madrasah take a part not only in education activities but also society empowerment; culturally based activities are keys in empowering and development.

Palavras-chave: Expansão do Capital (China); Gran Amazonía; Ação dos Países Sul-americanos.ABSTRACTThe emergence of China as a global economic actor on the threshold of the 21st century had a direct impact on the consolidation and expansion of new and old centers of extraction and agromineral production in much of Latin America. The aim of this article is to discuss the relevant impacts of Chinese investments in Gran Amazonía in the period 2000-2019 and to show how the South American national states contributed to the expansion fronts in this immense subcontinental space. As a methodology, the most recent survey on the main fronts of capital expansion in the countries of Gran Amazonía is presented, based on data from field research, consultations with governmental, non-governmental, business and other civil organizations, in addition to updated bibliography. It is concluded that the expansion of Chinese capital over the whole of Gran Amazonía was the product of a consensual relationship with the National States, generating economic opportunities, however, with important socio-environmental implications. Basic sciences, technology and human sciences in aeronautics are integrated in favor of renewable energies for sustainable development. Thus, the objective of this project is to create a rainwater and condensed water storage system with automated irrigation, powered by solar energy that provides crop moisture and contributes to the reduction of CO2 in the semi-desert region of Querétaro. The methodology used is action research, which consists of observing and detecting a real problem to immediately analyze and assess the possibilities of intervention. In this case it was the waste of natural resources in the university (water and solar energy). An action strategy was designed afterwards which consisted in: 1. Integration of a team of specialist teachers and students. 2. General planning of the project. 3. Theoretical and field research. 4. Systems design: hydraulic, structures, automated irrigation with solar energy. 5.Application of device tests and the study of the process of crop growing and composting. Our contribution in this project is above all social and ecological and not to science; university social responsibility is encouraged emphasizing the importance that the application of technology offer alternatives for the care and use of natural resources and greater use of renewable energy. As an added value, the project contributes to applied research with an interdisciplinary approach of professors and students of different aeronautical careers in favor of sustainable development. It is clarified that during this initial stage there is still no scientific contribution made as we plan ,in a subsequent stage, to test and show levels of radiation and humidity in the region.

Abstract The increased interest in the Arctic by global players is generated by new economic opportunities related to commercial maritime transport, development of oil and gas deposits, mining, fisheries, and tourism. The natural results are closer economic and geopolitical relations between the Arctic and the rest of the world. Many observers perceive this development as a source of growing conflict because of competition related to control over the natural resources of the region. It seems also quite clear that the Arctic cannot follow its own original way of development which would be independent from the global power system.
