This chapter discusses the need for a systematic framework to categorise and store the large quantity of complex information required to determine competitive advantage. The length of time necessary to collect all the relevant and complex information creates an additional problem, which can only be alleviated by having an appropriate framework to guide the project. The assessment of information means that the context and accuracy of the information must also be stored. Creating an effective information system needs to be the focus of a special project, and the idea of an information system project will be explored as part of the methodology. The concepts of information architecture and business architecture to assist in the project's design will also be reviewed. Part of the information systems project will be the project planning document which will get more complex as the project develops; therefore, the planning document requirements will also be reviewed.

The word ‘Solarium’ means different things to different people. To some, it evokes an era of global uncertainty with competing nuclear powers. To others, it brings to mind a threat so compelling that a US President formed a special project to reshape US policy rapidly. The word Solarium again inspires hope, optimism, and expectation that cybersecurity—one of the most critical challenges of the twenty-first century—can be addressed as successfully as challenges from the past. Will combining the name Solarium with the twenty-first-century threat’s gravity deliver similar results as it did in 1953? What exactly did Project Solarium 1953 provide? In what way is the global nuclear threat and spread of communism in 1953 comparable to the global cyber threat of the twenty-first century, and is there a risk that the comparison might either over-simplify a complex problem or, worse still, provoke an inappropriately exaggerated and perhaps even apocalyptic approach to cyberspace security? Are there other aspects of the 1953 Project Solarium that offer more useful insights into the human elements of policymaking? Does the naming of the 2019 Cybersecurity Commission as the Cybersecurity Solarium Commission provide little more than smart branding?

The goal of this article is to highlight a special project completed by a final semester Bachelor of Information Science (Hons.) Resource Centre Management student at UiTM Shah Alam's Perpustakaan Tun Abdul Razak (PTAR). In addition to the internship activity in the company or organisation, students must complete a special project as an extra task that will contribute to the library. The focus of this article is on a particular project involving a tutorial on how to use the library UiTM's MyKnowledge Management (MyKM) website. The development method was used, with stages such as analysing the learning objectives, creating a storey board, validating the story board, revising the story board, and creating video tutorial media. The article will be discussing about the process of creating the video tutorial and user guidelines.

The study identifies features of potential modifications and lacuna-forming modifiers involved in word-formation synthesis in the process of generating new verbs. The scientific novelty of this study is in the differentiated representation of lexical-semantic and morphological means (verbal modifiers) that are capable, on the one hand, of synthesizing a desired meaning (verbal modification) and, on the other hand, of producing lexical gaps (lacunae). As a result of analyzing the specific modifiers and modifications with respect to the lexical-semantic group of verbs of sound, the new products of synthesis (potential modifications) have been identified. The conditions for the appearance of lacunae and the role of the lacunae-forming modifiers are demonstrated. Through a special project at the Missouri S&T (USA) using the data from the Russian National Corpus, for the first time in lexicographic practice, novel modifications, previously considered non-existent, are introduced.

<p>"Amanar: under the same sky" is a science outreach project organized by GalileoMobile, the Asociación Canaria de Amistad con el Pueblo Saharaui (ACAPS) and the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC), with the aim to support and inspire the Sahrawi community from the refugee camps in Tindouf, Algeria, using Astronomy. The initiative pays special attention to Sahrawi children and youth to awaken their interest in science and stimulate their imagination and critical thinking. The project also promotes mutual understanding and cultural exchange through the study and preservation of the Saharawi rich astronomical traditions and knowledge of the sky. Amanar was selected as a “Special Project” of the International Astronomical Union (IAU) centenary celebrations, and has received funding from the IAU Office of Astronomy for Development and the Europlanet Funding Scheme. It counts with the support and collaboration of international astronomical institutions and a significant number of local partners.</p> <p>The first part was developed in three of the Canary Islands in summer 2019. It combined visits to the professional observatories with educational activities about the Universe and astronomical observations for the Sahrawi children who spend every summer in the islands together with Spanish families, within the long-standing “Holidays in Peace” program. The second part took place in October 2019, when a team of astrophysicists, science communicators and filmmakers visited the Sahrawi refugee camps in Tindouf to promote Astronomy outreach activities in schools and donate telescopes and educational materials. Teacher workshops were also organized to encourage educators to use Astronomy as a didactic tool and contribute to the improvement of the quality of education in the region.</p> <p>As a reaction to the COVID-19 Pandemic in 2020, the project provided follow-up capacity building for Sahrawi teachers through a pilot online training programme through WhatsApp, which is efficient to low internet connection and easier to use in their mobile phones. The program content was co-created with the teachers to ensure that was relevant to them. In total, 635 children, 83 teachers and 150 people from the general public participated in all the project activities. In addition, thanks to a collaboration with the Sahrawi Oral History Department, a series of interviews were organized with elders about their Astronomical knowledge. In 2021 we are expanding this study by awarding internships to young Sahrawi people, who will be trained on Ethnoastronomy and ethnographic data collection, so they are the ones leading the process of preserving their own culture and history.</p> <p>In this talk, we will present the outcomes and best practices learned from the project so far, the planned actions to ensure long-term sustainability along with future visits to the camps. We will also discuss the global impact of this type of initiatives in the framework of Astronomy for Development.</p>

Abstract The substantial loss of collagen in the supporting tissues of the pelvic floor is characteristic of pelvic organ prolapse (POP). A bFGF-induced collagen increase has been widely recognized by scholars, but the role of bFGF in pelvic floor dysfunction and the mechanism by which bFGF promotes collagen have not been reported. Here, we elucidated this mechanism. After bFGF stimulation, L929 cells showed significantly increased expression of collagen, integrin β1, and MEK1/2 signaling proteins. Our previous studies showed that integrin β1 plays an important role in electric stimulation-induced collagen expression, which suggests an underlying mechanism. By overexpressing and silencing integrin β1, we proved that integrin β1 is also an important signal transduction protein of bFGF that promotes collagen through the MEK1/2 pathway, which is a classic collagen-promoting pathway. In summary, these findings suggest that bFGF can stimulate the expression of collagen through the integrin β1/p-MEK1/2/p-ERK/1/2 signaling pathway in L929 cells. The Office of the Special Project Facilitator (OSPF) is responsible for the problem-solving function of the Accountability Mechanism of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). It aims to actively respond to the concerns of people affected by ADB-assisted projects through fair, transparent, and consensus-based problem-solving. This publication discusses issues and resolutions relating to an integrated road investment project in Sri Lanka. It is one of OSPF’s Lessons Learned series of case studies on its complaint management experience—from project preparation, design, and processing to implementation and monitoring. The series aims to support ADB operations departments, government and private sector partners, and other stakeholders by documenting grievance redress management experiences and identifying important lessons and good practices on problem-solving that are useful for future projects.
