Context. High-resolution échelle spectra confine many essential stellar parameters once the data reach a quality appropriate to constrain the various physical processes that form these spectra. Aim. We provide a homogeneous library of high-resolution, high-S/N spectra for 48 bright AFGKM stars, some of them approaching the quality of solar-flux spectra. Our sample includes the northern Gaia benchmark stars, some solar analogs, and some other bright Morgan-Keenan (M-K) spectral standards. Methods. Well-exposed deep spectra were created by average-combining individual exposures. The data-reduction process relies on adaptive selection of parameters by using statistical inference and robust estimators. We employed spectrum synthesis techniques and statistics tools in order to characterize the spectra and give a first quick look at some of the science cases possible. Results. With an average spectral resolution of R ≈ 220 000 (1.36 km s−1), a continuous wavelength coverage from 383 nm to 912 nm, and S/N of between 70:1 for the faintest star in the extreme blue and 6000:1 for the brightest star in the red, these spectra are now made public for further data mining and analysis. Preliminary results include new stellar parameters for 70 Vir and α Tau, the detection of the rare-earth element dysprosium and the heavy elements uranium, thorium and neodymium in several RGB stars, and the use of the 12C to 13C isotope ratio for age-related determinations. We also found Arcturus to exhibit few-percent Ca II H&K and Hα residual profile changes with respect to the KPNO atlas taken in 1999.

High-resolution remote sensing (HRRS) images, when used for building detection, play a key role in urban planning and other fields. Compared with the deep learning methods, the method based on morphological attribute profiles (MAPs) exhibits good performance in the absence of massive annotated samples. MAPs have been proven to have a strong ability for extracting detailed characterizations of buildings with multiple attributes and scales. So far, a great deal of attention has been paid to this application. Nevertheless, the constraints of rational selection of attribute scales and evidence conflicts between attributes should be overcome, so as to establish reliable unsupervised detection models. To this end, this research proposes a joint optimization and fusion building detection method for MAPs. In the pre-processing step, the set of candidate building objects are extracted by image segmentation and a set of discriminant rules. Second, the differential profiles of MAPs are screened by using a genetic algorithm and a cross-probability adaptive selection strategy is proposed; on this basis, an unsupervised decision fusion framework is established by constructing a novel statistics-space building index (SSBI). Finally, the automated detection of buildings is realized. We show that the proposed method is significantly better than the state-of-the-art methods on HRRS images with different groups of different regions and different sensors, and overall accuracy (OA) of our proposed method is more than 91.9%.

The work is devoted to the study of reproductive aging of African catfish in the conditions of industrial aquaculture. The problem is urgent, because industrial aquaculture changes the biology of African catfish so much that it loses its ability to reproduce naturally. The offspring of African catfish can be obtained only with the use of hormonal inducers of gametogenesis. Questions of age selection of producers and age composition of breeding stock in this type of fish are still open. In practice, we have to face the facts of poor quality of sexual products in primary spawning or old females and males. The aim of the study was a comparative assessment of age-related variability of reproductive properties of female and male African catfish in the conditions of industrial aquaculture. The results of our study showed the presence of age-related dynamics in the quality of sexual products in African catfish. Age-dependent differences in the quality and fertilization of eggs, the viability of embryos and larvae, their size, and the quality of offspring were established. When studying the properties of sexual products in fish of different ages, differences in morphometric and physiological parameters were found for a complex of indicators such as the size and diameter of eggs, sperm concentration, and the number of viable spermatozoa. Evaluation of the influence of parents age on the viability of offspring in the embryonic and postembryonic periods revealed that this indicator is the lowest in first – spawning fish, and the highest in middle-aged fish. The Russian Foundation for Basic Research has supported our study with the grant No. 18-416-730005.

In order to further improve fractional-pel interpolation image quality of video sequence with different resolutions and reduce algorithm complexity, the fractional-pel interpolation algorithm based on adaptive filter (AF_FIA) is proposed. This algorithm adaptively selects the interpolation filters with different orders according to the three video sequence regions with different resolutions; in the three video sequence regions with different resolutions, the high-order interpolation filter is replaced by low-order interpolation filter according to the correlation between pixels to realize the adaptive selection of filter. The complexity analysis results show that compared with other algorithms, this algorithm reduces space complexity and computation complexity, thus reducing the storage access and coding time. The simulation results indicate that compared with other algorithms, this algorithm has good coding performance and robustness for video sequences with different resolutions.

The article describes the possibility of using an adaptive-productive approach in regulating and theorizing the quality of creating demanded products of an individual’s activity and new professional and pedagogical knowledge. In the structure of adaptive-productive personality development in the system of continuing education, the basics of clarifying the quality of the use of pedagogical support and scientific donation are highlighted, which is due to the humanization and age-related development of personality in socially, professionally and personality-oriented environments. The foundations and models of communication and concretization of the quality of solving the problems of pedagogical support and scientific donation in the development of personality in the system of continuing education are determined. The concept of “scientific donation” has been clarified from the perspective of traditional and innovative pedagogy. In traditional pedagogy, broad, narrow, and local meanings are allocated for theorizing the foundations of scientific donation. In innovative pedagogy - adaptively productive, creatively productive, synergetic, unified meanings are used. The selection of methods and forms of organization of scientific donation in the system of continuing education is disclosed. The functions of pedagogical support and scientific donation are systematically detailed in the description, as well as the principles for implementing the ideas of pedagogical support and scientific donation, pedagogical conditions for increasing the effectiveness of pedagogical support and scientific donation in adaptively productive personality development in the system of continuing education. Prospects for the development of the idea of pedagogical support and scientific donation in adaptively productive personality development in the system of continuing education are determined.

The article discusses the reasonsfor an expert to participate in legal proceedings. The gnoseological reason for that consists of the bad quality of materials subject to examination that renders the examination either completely impossible or compromises objective, reasoned and reliable assessment of the findings. The procedural reason consists ofa proscription for an expert to collect evidence himself or herself. The author investigates into the ways of how an expert can participate in legal proceedings. If the defense invites an expert to participate in the proceedings, then it is recommended that his or her involvement should be in the presence of attesting witnesses and recorded in the protocol. In the course of the legal proceedings an expert has the following tasks: adding initial data, acquiring new initial data, understanding the situation of the incident, acquiring new objects to be studied, including samples for examination. An expert’s participation in legal proceedings differs from the participation of a specialist or an examination on the scene of the incident. The author describes the tasks that an expert solves in the course of legal proceedings, the peculiarities ofan investigation experiment practices, the selection of samples for an examination, inspection, interrogation.

Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is a telecommunications technology that is able to pass the communication service in Internet Protocol networks so as to allow communicating between users in an IP network. However VoIP technology still has weakness in the Quality of Service (QoS). VOPI weaknesses is affected by the selection of the physical servers used. In this research, VoIP is configured on Linux operating system with Asterisk as VoIP application server and integrated on a Raspberry Pi by using wired and wireless network as the transmission medium. Because of depletion of IPv4 capacity that can be used on the network, it needs to be applied to VoIP system using the IPv6 network protocol with supports devices. The test results by using a wired transmission medium that has obtained are the average delay is 117.851 ms, jitter is 5.796 ms, packet loss is 0.38%, throughput is 962.861 kbps, 8.33% of CPU usage and 59.33% of memory usage. The analysis shows that the wired transmission media is better than the wireless transmission media and wireless-wired.

This study implements the auto start control system on an electric motor 3 phase C4Feeding pump when the discharge pressure is low-low (4.3 kg /cm²). The C4 feeding pumpmotor was initially manually operated from the local control station, this was very ineffectiveand inefficient because it still relied on the field operator to operate the pump motor and whenthe plant was in normal operating it is very risk if the field operator late to operate motor then itwill impact to quality of the product, and if the delay time to operate motor is too long then planthave to shut down, therefore improvement is needed in the C4 feeding pump motor controlsystem. In this paper, various types of 3-phase motor control are explained which allow it to beapplied to the C4 feeding pump motor that are on-off, inverter, and variable speed drive andefficient selection of the three systems control of the motor. Software and hardware used in thisthesis work are DCS CENTUM VP Yokogawa.

The recent reprinting of Álvaro de Silva’s 1998 edition of a selection of More’s letters prompts the author to examine the subject of Spanish translations of More, and of de Silva’s general commentary on More’s correspondence and on his relationship to other humanists. The author reflects on aspects of More’s personality as exposed in his letters and uses what he finds as a corrective to several biographical misconceptions. He points out the strengths and weaknesses of de Silva’s work and compares it with that of other translators, particularly Elizabeth Rogers, and notes the particularly Spanish quality of de Silva’s edition.
