To improve the efficiency of the mining industry, it is necessary to coordinate all production processes, which allows reducing unproductive downtime of mining and transport equipment, increasing their productivity, and reducing the cost of operations at all stages of the production cycle. To achieve this result, the article uses a systematic approach to consider the features of planning the work of all departments of the coal mine, starting with drilling and blasting operations on the sites and ending with the shipment of finished products to consumers. Based on the example of JSC “Chernigovets” in the Kemerovo region, the article considers a two-level model for planning the work of all divisions of the enterprise for a month, taking into account the dynamics of resource use of production and transport sections. Taking into account the uneven performance of production operations and the wide variety of mining equipment used at the stages of preparation, excavation, excavation, transportation, processing and shipment of finished products to external rail transport, it is possible to use a hierarchical two-level system with aggregation of processes at the first level and their detail at the second level. Using the dynamic programming method allowed us to solve the problem of planning the activities of all divisions of the enterprise at the first level and identify the boundaries of changes in the planned indicators at the second level, which do not worsen the results achieved at the first level. The proposed method of planning the operation of the mine will allow you to quickly track the achieved indicators, compare them with the planned ones and, if necessary, adjust the work of the enterprise’s divisions in real time to achieve the best performance indicators of the coal mine as a whole.

The most important mining enterprise indicators are the reliability and durability of its equipment. These equipment parameters have the greatest impact not only on the mining complex efficiency, but also on the extracted minerals price, as the equipment downtime, as well as, the cost of repair works and spare parts purchase are included in the cost of coal. Thus, the main goal in improving mining production is to improve the reliability and durability of used equipment. Researches carried out in the coal company ‘Kuzbassrazrezugol’ showed that the largest number of mining equipment downtime, in particular of mining dump trucks, occurs due to unexpected failure of a motor-wheel gearbox. The introduction of the additional technological operation for diagnosing the actual technical condition of gearboxes in the maintenance procedure will allow monitoring the condition of the entire gearbox and, in particular, its components by an in-place repair method. This method consists of continuous or periodic measurement of the vibrations of the operating gearbox mechanisms. The analysis of the unit and its individual parts suitability is carried out on the bases of obtained measurements. This methodology usage at a mining enterprise will significantly reduce the number of equipment downtime and thereby increase its efficiency.

One of the problems of modernizing the mineral resource clusters` socio-economic sphere is to increase the competitiveness of mining enterprises, which can be achieved by reducing costs, improving product quality, and ensuring production safety. The article describes the directions of mining industry digitalization, the advantages of implementing digital technologies in the process of forming the finished products` cost and price, associated with increasing the reality of the resource base, optimizing the cost of materials and equipment, improving the system for predicting production failures, monitoring the implementation of the plan. The risks of using digital technology in mining enterprises due to insufficient automation of production processes, ensuring cybersecurity and staff qualifications are listed. In addition, there is a justification for the existing potential and identified threats, and the technologies used in the implementation of the federal and regional digitalization program or planned for use in the next year by enterprises of the Kuzbass coal mining industry, as well as the problems associated with their implementation are described.

The article addresses the issues of ensuring safe operation of mining equipment in surface mining. It describes the main factors and situations that pose a high risk to human life and health. The most dangerous incidents are shown to be related to limited visibility and blind spots for operators of mining equipment, which can result in collisions and personnel run over. The main technologies and specific solutions used to design collision avoidance systems are described and their general comparison is provided. A particular focus is placed on monitoring the health of employees at their workplace by means of portable personal devices that promptly inform the dispatcher of emergency situations. General technical requirements are formulated for designing of the system to prevent equipment collisions and personnel run over in surface mining operations. The paper emphasizes the importance of introducing a multifunctional safety system in surface mines in order to minimise the possibility of incidents and accidents throughout the entire production cycle.
