In Russia and abroad, the scope of the use of gold has significantly expanded, which undoubtedly affected the level of production. However, despite the fairly high rates of gold mining, the economic situation that has developed in recent years makes the companies look for new innovative placer processing technologies that will allow preserving and increasing the extraction of the precious metals. The search for and exploration of new placer gold deposits requires very considerable financial resources and time, and therefore the proposed project for the extraction of alluvial gold from technogenic deposits is of great importance for the functioning of the mining industry of the Irkutsk region, since it helps to overcome at least two negative trends: firstly, the deterioration of the mineral resource base, and secondly, large losses of gold with dump products (up to 50%) associated with the use of obsolete washing equipment. Modernization of production capacities and processing technologies is not only one of the main factors for increasing competitiveness in the gold mining industry and attracting investors, but will also help increasing the mineral resource base of the Irkutsk region by reassessing technogenic deposits, setting gold technogenic deposits on the balance, development of technologies for technogenic deposits and processing, and involvement of technogenic deposits in the mass processing.

Competitiveness of mining enterprises is determined, mainly by their productivity and operation superiority. Digitalization becomes a decisive factor, which can provide an opportunity to companies of this sphere to remain competitive in the future. In mining industry passing-over to new, advanced methods of work usually happens more slowly due to the scale and complexity of production processes and considerable costs necessary for re-equipment. That is why certain enterprises of this field use digital technologies without enthusiasm. However, the leading mining companies in the world invest vast funds in development of advanced technologies in power engineering and automation in order to increase mining and ecological efficiency, to cut the volume of hand labour, costs and power expenses. It is obvious that digital technologies can give new opportunities for serious rise in productivity and profit. The article studies key lines in digital transformation at mining enterprises, demonstrates basic advantages and potential threats. The authors analyze both foreign and Russian examples of effective digitalization at enterprises of this sphere.

The sdudy aim to investigate the possibility to reduce the cost and adopting more effective modern methods based on cost-flow concept and the role played by the process of mapping cost flow in order to identify the defects in production processes and submitting most necessary proposals for making continuous changes which guarantee achieving a real reduction in productions cost and possibility of stability and competing other products in the market. The main aim of this research is to apply a cost-flow map through finding a way of accounting analysis for reducing costs without affecting the quality of the products. The researchers found a number of conclusions including: the basic idea of cost flow is to get rid of wastage in production process; achieving customer satisfaction; and achieving a clear effect in reducing products cost via applying cost-flow map in Zakho Dairy Factory as a research sample. In the light of research conclusions, the researchers presented a number of recommendations including: increasing the workers’ capacity in the factory through training courses; developing workers’ capabilities through discovering faults and defects in production systems; and reducing wastage through excluding activities that do not add value to the product and that would reduce the time and effort spent in production processes.

The purpose of the article is using the data of Geoinform of Ukraine on the current state of the mineral resource base of the country, to regionalize its territory by combining explored mineral deposits and production-territorial complexes formed on their basis with a mineral raw material orientation. Research results. The article is written in the context of the constructive-geographical direction of studying the geography of mineral resources, which has been developing in the last decades in Ukraine. In particular, three approaches to regionalization of territorial combinations of mineral deposits are compared and analyzed: geological, economic-geographical and mining, which will contribute to their interconnection in characterizing the mineral-raw materials complexes of individual regions. The authors’ own interpretations of discussion definitions of mining terminology are proposed. Based on the results of previous studies and taking into account the current state of the mineral resource base, economic-geographical and mining zoning of the territory of Ukraine has been carried out for groups of explored mineral deposits. Within Ukraine, four mineral resource zones are allocated: Prydniprovsko-Pryazovska, Eastern Ukrainian, Donetsko-Slovianska and Prykarpatska, as well as several territorially separate structures: Zakarpatskyi, Lvivsko-Volynskyi, Podilskyi, Kerchenskyi, Krymskyi macrodistricts, Zhytomyrskyi and Pobuzkyi districts. A detailed description of the mineral and raw material specifications of these structures and their constituent parts, the features and prospects of their exploitation, the formation of territorial-production complexes of mineral and raw materials orientation are submitted. Scientific novelty. For the first time, various approaches to the regionalization of territorial groupings of mineral deposits and mining territories are compared, the basic definitions of mining regionalization are presented, and on this basis their own variant of zoning the territory of Ukraine on mineral resources is proposed. Practical value. The economic, geographical and mining zoning of the territory of Ukraine according to the forms of concentration of mineral deposits and mining areas will help create the scientific basis for optimizing the structure of the mining industry, ensuring the effective use of mineral raw materials, and developing the country's raw material complex.

The prospects for expanding the mineral resource base of the Zhezkazgan deposit are inextricably linked with the improvement of equipment and technologies for mining. On the basis of the Zhezkazgan deposit, an innovative platform has been created for the introduc-tion of new self-propelled equipment to ensure the specified rates of expansion of the mineral resource base of the operating mines in the region. A retrospective analysis of the stages of technical re-equipment of mines in the Zhezkazgan deposit was carried out. For this, a com-parative analysis of the efficiency of operation of diesel and electric forklifts has been carried out. It has been proven that the simplified design and lower failure rate of the electric drive can reduce the amount of equipment maintenance and repair work, thereby minimizing the downtime of LHDs and the cost of servicing mining equipment.

To improve the efficiency of the mining industry, it is necessary to coordinate all production processes, which allows reducing unproductive downtime of mining and transport equipment, increasing their productivity, and reducing the cost of operations at all stages of the production cycle. To achieve this result, the article uses a systematic approach to consider the features of planning the work of all departments of the coal mine, starting with drilling and blasting operations on the sites and ending with the shipment of finished products to consumers. Based on the example of JSC “Chernigovets” in the Kemerovo region, the article considers a two-level model for planning the work of all divisions of the enterprise for a month, taking into account the dynamics of resource use of production and transport sections. Taking into account the uneven performance of production operations and the wide variety of mining equipment used at the stages of preparation, excavation, excavation, transportation, processing and shipment of finished products to external rail transport, it is possible to use a hierarchical two-level system with aggregation of processes at the first level and their detail at the second level. Using the dynamic programming method allowed us to solve the problem of planning the activities of all divisions of the enterprise at the first level and identify the boundaries of changes in the planned indicators at the second level, which do not worsen the results achieved at the first level. The proposed method of planning the operation of the mine will allow you to quickly track the achieved indicators, compare them with the planned ones and, if necessary, adjust the work of the enterprise’s divisions in real time to achieve the best performance indicators of the coal mine as a whole.
