The paper deals with the comparison of the importance of passengers’ requirements for the quality of the services provided and the quality assessment of air and bus transport. Individual quality criteria and their importance from the point of view of passengers vary depending on the mode of transport. It is also possible to observe the differing importance of quality criteria in relation to groups of passengers. The paper is processed comparison of the importance of individual quality criteria in air and bus services to the research in this area. In the paper is processed IPA matrix for air and bus transport. These are simple matrices that serve to highlight and understand important customer requirements.

While assessing the quality of welded joints it may become necessary to establish various quality levels in the same joint or implement specific requirements for an already adopted quality level. The latter case can be observed in standard EN 1090-2, in which additional requirements were adopted for quality level B and thus a new quality level designated as B+ was created. Most of the additional requirements are concerned with imperfections detected by means of radiography. For this reason it was necessary to compare the principles governing the assessment of the quality of welded joints from radiographic examination point of view, according to the requirements of standard EN ISO 5817 and those of EN 1090-2. A conducted comparative analysis aims at optimising the aforesaid principles in relation to the requirements presented therein.

This work aims to evaluate the quality of drinking water in the communities of Baiacu, Sao Francisco do Conde, Santo Amaro and Cachoeira. It was verified that in some places of Santo Amaro and Sao Francisco do Conde, from the microbiological point of view, it is not appropriate for consumption, because it was found that the presence of total coliforms in 50% of the samples and that the chlorine content is below the values indicated by the standards in 75% of the analyzed samples. Thus, the consumption of contaminated water can cause diseases, so it is recommended cleaning of residential reservoirs, maintenance in pipes periodically, as well as the need for continuous monitoring of water quality and the intense participation of public agencies in these actions. Through these actions and the active participation of the population, one can preserve the environment and the lives of all those who transit in the communities of the Bay of All Saints

With growing numbers of mHealth interventions, there is a need to evaluate the quality of existing apps based on quality assessment criteria that are grounded in published literature and health behavior research. These criteria can help identify the quality of mHealth apps from the perspectives of reliability, feature usefulness and feature convenience. This chapter will discuss the various quality criteria that are relevant for mHealth apps that target drug-related problems, as well as for medication management, through the development of two quality assessment tools. In addition to reliability, usability and privacy criteria, other feature criteria related to tele-monitoring, interaction checkers, dose calculators, medication information provision, medication records, as well as tele-support, tele-collaboration and personalization/contextualization, will be discussed. This chapter aims to provide guidance to mobile app developers, clinicians and patients on the types of quality parameters to consider in apps that are designed for pharmaceutical care and medication management.

The aim of the research study is the description of the information analytical system developed by the authors for the formation of an integral linguistic assessment of the quality of educational services from the perspective of three main groups of consumers: employers, students and young professionals. The computation of the integral linguistic quality assessment is based on specially structured information obtained in the course of a voluntary online survey of consumers on specialized quality criteria for groups. A site has been developed for the online survey. The algorithmic support of the information-analytical system is based on the methods SERVQUAL, SWOT-analysis and fuzzy linguistic information processing technologies. The tools of the information analytical system allow us to obtain: linguistic assessments of the quality of services from the perspective of each group of consumers, an integral quality assessment for all consumers and automatically build a SWOT analysis matrix to develop a strategy to improve the quality of the analysed services. In accordance with modern standards of quality management, the approach to quality assessment laid down in the methodology for generating results uses the assumption that the consumer assesses the quality of services based on a comparison of his/her expectations and perceptions of the service during its receipt.

An analysis of balancing of V6 engines equipped with split-pin crankshafts with any cylinder bank angle based on the mathematical relations derived in the paper was carried out. A comparison of the quality of their balancing with engines equipped with common-pin crankshafts was also carried out. The bank angle ranges beneficial for balancing of moments of inertia forces in reciprocating motion were determined. A mathematical relation on the optimum value of the main counterweights in the function of the cylinder bank angle was derived as well. The advantages of the split-pin crankshafts from the point of view of balancing were also indicated also.

This paper contains main principles of function-oriented analysis. This approach may be used to estimate the product quality from the point of view of its consumer properties. The object and its components are studied in terms of the functions they fulfill, which corresponds to the degree of satisfaction of the customer requirements (or expectations). It makes possible to find out the relation between the consumer functions and the product properties and determines the practical ways of quality improvement. It is proved that the function-oriented analysis can be used efficiently for both current metal products and for research and design of up-to-date engineering and manufacturing systems.

Videogames have become educational, communicative and social tools among the youngest, favouring the acquisition of skills, abilities and values, encompassing an endless number of themes, and help to experience and to face, in the first person, a great diversity of environmental situations and ecology problems. Thus, the present article aims: a) the evaluation of a sample of 20 educational videogames about water, making use of some empirical criteria of quality; and b) the design, validation and application of an integrate quality indicator of educational videogames on water, based on the aspects of narrative, gameplay and didactics to that sample, which allows us to obtain a ranking. The findings reflect a ranking of games allows to suggest that the nature of the game (simulation, adventures, platforms or questions) does not determine the quality of the game, although generally simulations and adventure games are placed in a range of medium or high quality, as well as those games that pursue objectives related to the design and management of a territory in a sustainable way. The paper provides teachers with quality criteria based on narrative and gameplay that complement and enriches the pedagogical dimension.

Consumers of mobile devices expect manufacturers to produce devices that will be an efficient source of electric energy. The batteries currently used in smartphones allow the devices to operate for several hours. Power banks extend the operating time of the device without the need to charge via a charger connected to the mains. The present paper defines first the features of power banks that are the most important for users and, moreover, what knowledge or opinions about important power bank features customers use during purchase. As shown in the survey, according to the respondents, the most important feature determining the quality of a power bank is its capacity. It has been shown in this research that the actual capacity of a power bank is circa 2/3 of the capacity indicated. What have also been investigated are the differences between the average capacities of power banks with Li-ion batteries and the technologically newer Li-Po batteries, in favor of the latter. Power banks were not differentiated according to the type of battery and charging times in the standard variant, with a voltage of 5 V. It has been shown that the smaller usable capacity of the power bank does not affect the faster charging time.

Modern research in the field of chondroitin sulfate chemical composition is considered. Clinical efficiency and safety are shown to depend on the nature and quality of the raw material used, ways of its technological processing and the degree of purification. The composition of chemical compounds (CC) variable is stated to represent the mixture of 2 main isomeric forms: chondroitin 4-sulfate and chondroitin 6-sulfate. In the animal tissue chondroitin 4-sulfate dominates, the content of which is 70 %; the content of chondroitin 6-sulfate is 30 %. The cartilages of sharks and other hydrobionts have got low content of chondroitin 4-sulfate (10 %) and chondroitin 6-sulfate 80 %. Complex polymeric structure and instability of CC composition make the problem of drug standardization on its basis complicated. The impurities encountered in substances are considered. The impurities are divided into several groups: related impurities, technological or mechanical ones uncharacteristic of CC. Comparative analysis of requirements for raw material from the point of view of normative documentation of different countries is carried out and their considerable difference is detected. It has been shown that for raising pharmacological activity the producer of drugs must take into account all the parameters of CC including the structural composition, molecular weight and presence of impurities.
