The paper analyses 4 printing technological flow cases, considering the author’s experience (over 15 years) in the printing industry to improve the production efficiency. The productivity, the quality and the delivery time are the main areas of interest for people working in the printing & finishing industry, where the print demand structure evolved and the costs of replacing machines are very high. The implementation of the organisational and reconfiguration of machines changes contribute to the development of new efficient working structures within the printing process, therefore increasing the efficiency of it, as one can notice from the diagrams presented in the paper. The time and the costs presented have been obtained through a couple of trials of modifying the work parameters, the colour and the materials according to the colour management guidelines in use. Ultimately the optimal technological structure has been chosen for quality improvement, cost and delivery time reduction.

Chicken broiler is the main commodities  and largest in Indonesia, where Kampar district into production centre in the province of Riau. According to the company's partners, breeder who partnered with the pattern contract farming hasn't been able to combine the use of livestock production facilities as well as labor. This resulted in not maximizing the profits obtained by breeders. The purpose of the research was to analyze broiler chicken farming and analyze the efficiency of broiler chicken production. Analytical method used is the analysis method of broiler chicken flocks and the DEA method. Respondents needed is 40 farmers who have partnered with the contract farming pattern. The results showed that the production costs of Rp.180.031.229 /period, revenue Rp.203.573.865/period, so that the profit amounting to Rp 23.542.636/period with R/C ratio of 1.13. The results of the efficiency analysis show that inefficient farmers are more numerous than those who have been efficient. It showed breeders hasn't been able to use the minimum input produce output that is optimal and maximum profit.

The automotive industry has lately been undergoing major changes having a considerable impact on the whole vehicle sector. This does not only refer to what is technologically new on vehicles themselves, but also to the new modern management methods, frequently associated with the Industry 4.0 concept. As well as other companies, car factories are pushing their costs downwards to increase their production efficiency. This paper analyses the economic situation of 5 car manufacturers, two of which having their factories in the Czech Republic and three in Germany. The task was to ascertain efficiency of individual companies in order to propose possible improvements. To do this, the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) for two models (CCR - model based on Charnes, Cooper & Rhodes and BCC - model based on Banker, Charnes & Cooper) was used. The BCC model was found to be more applicable to the established efficiencies, than the CCR one.

Based on research data of the Jiaozhou Bay waters in May, August, and October 1992, the current transportation process and the various sources of Pb contents in the Jiaozhou Bay water body were studied. According to the Yang Dongfang migration law of the content, the results show that: after the ocean current with high levels of Pb content enters the Jiaozhou Bay, spatial change process of the sources carrying Pb content in May, August and October is shown with the transportation of the ocean current. Also, the model block diagram is used to reveal the change process of Pb content imported by ocean currents into the waters of Jiaozhou Bay. The location, magnitude, type, and time of the four sources of Pb content in the waters of Jiaozhou Bay were determined, which are the transportation of ships and terminals, surface runoffs, rivers, and offshore currents. Pb content of surface runoff transport is relatively low, and the transport time is short. Whereas Pb content of the ship terminal is increasing, and the time of transportation is also raising. And the content of Pb transported by rivers is the highest, and it has been transporting from land to sea nonstop throughout the year. Offshore currents carry a very high level of Pb content and constantly transporting it to the water body with low content of Pb. During the year, ships and terminals, land, and rivers were heavily polluted by Pb content, as well as the entire ocean. Among the rivers entering the sea around Jiaozhou Bay, there are four main ones: Haibo River, Licun River, Loushan River, and Dagu River. The sequence of Pb content transported by the rivers from high to low is listed as following: Licun River>Loushan River>Dagu River>Haibo River. The delivery time of Pb content in Licun River is the longer as delivery time in Haibo River, Loushan River and Dagu River is the same. Therefore, it is necessary to strictly control the Pb content from river transportation.

The aim of this paper is to highlight how the employment of Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) technique can enhance greatly the performance and reliability of many monitoring systems applied to the Earth Observation (EO) and Environmental Monitoring. A short presentation of LiDAR systems, underlying their peculiarities, is first given. References to some review papers are highlighted, as they can be regarded as useful guidelines for researchers interested in using LiDARs. Two case studies are then presented and discussed, based on the use of 2D and 3D LiDAR data. Some considerations are done on the performance achieved through the use of LiDAR data combined with data from other sources. The case studies show how the LiDAR-based systems, combined with optical Very High Resolution (VHR) data, succeed in improving the analysis and monitoring of specific areas of interest, specifically how LiDAR data help in exploring external environment and extracting building features from urban areas. Moreover the discussed Case Studies demonstrate that the use of the LiDAR data, even with a low density of points, allows the development of an automatic procedure for accurate building features extraction, through object-oriented classification techniques, therefore by underlying the importance that even simple LiDAR-based systems play in EO and Environmental Monitoring.

The paper focuses on the poultry meat production efficiency analysis methods. In the poultry meat production procedure, the randomness is strong due to the various complex factors in the poultry meat production which will reduce the production efficiency. In order to avoid the defects of the traditional algorithms, the paper proposes the poultry meat production efficiency analysis method based on RBF neural network algorithm. The effect factors in the poultry meat production will be sifted as the basic data for production efficiency analysis. The RBF neural network model is built and the output results are used to analyze the poultry meat production efficiency with intelligent devices. The experiment results illustrate the improved algorithm can increase the poultry meat production efficiency.

Low rates of adoption of innovations in sheep management have been blamed on the poor targeting of messages, low relative advantage of the innovation, a focus on awareness-raising activities rather than adoption activities, poor ‘packaging’ of information and few effective tools to aid decision making. Lifetimewool, a national project that developed management guidelines for Merino ewes specific to regions and different times of lambing, used a ‘review and improve’ process to identify areas of interest, level of knowledge and the skills required by different sectors of the audience to adopt the new recommendations for ewe management. To match these needs and to effectively communicate information from Lifetimewool, a combination of simple and complex tools were produced which were practical, effective, regionally specific and credible. All of the products were designed as a ‘family’ in terms of design and content, allowing a recognition by the producer that they complemented each other and led producers through logical steps for making decisions on managing and feeding ewes. The average awareness of all tools by consultants and extensionists was almost 90% and average usage rates were above 50%. However, the usage rates varied dramatically between tools and users, for example, 46% of consultants used the feed budget tables compared with 76% of extensionists for a similar awareness. Of 1353 producers surveyed more than 55% were aware of the Lifetimewool tools and average usage within this group was 19% and related to the length of time the tool had been available. An estimated 14 000 producers were aware of tools produced by Lifetimewool. The uptake and use of these tools by the target audiences support our hypothesis that tools of differing complexities are required to cater for individual needs.
