All over the world, a large proportion of the population consume insects as part of their diet. In Western countries, however, the consumption of insects is perceived as a negative phenomenon. The consumption of insects worldwide can be considered in two ways: on the one hand, as a source of protein in countries affected by hunger, while, on the other, as an alternative protein in highly-developed regions, in response to the need for implementing policies of sustainable development. This review focused on both the regulations concerning the production and marketing of insects in Europe and the characteristics of edible insects that are most likely to establish a presence on the European market. The paper indicates numerous advantages of the consumption of insects, not only as a valuable source of protein but also as a raw material rich in valuable fatty acids, vitamins, and mineral salts. Attention was paid to the functional properties of proteins derived from insects, and to the possibility for using them in the production of functional food. The study also addresses the hazards which undoubtedly contribute to the mistrust and lowered acceptance of European consumers and points to the potential gaps in the knowledge concerning the breeding conditions, raw material processing and health safety. This set of analyzed data allows us to look optimistically at the possibilities for the development of edible insect-based foods, particularly in Europe.

For the first time, materials of such settlements of the East Trypillia culture as Trostyanchyk, Onopriyivka І are published. Despite approximately the same quantitative ratio, even at first glance, the materials of these two leaflets differ significantly from each other. The Trostyanchyk complex is actually blade-type: blades prevail both among production waste and among the tool kit. Flakes and tools on them dominate in Onopriyivka. If the Trostyanchyk complex can be regarded as "classic" in terms of the tool kit: retouched blades, end-scrapers, sickle inserts, perforators on blades, etc., then the Onopriyivka complex looks more primitive: retouched flakes, notched tools and scrapers on flakes, and others. In Onopriyivka, unlike Trostyanchyk, finds of weapons are completely absent. Products from Onopriyivka are made mainly of local raw materials, while in Trostyanchyk there are approximately equal parts of products from local and imported raw materials, and products from local flint are made as carefully as products from Volyn flint. At the same time, in both cases we can confidently speak of the local nature of production. This is evidenced by both the use of local flint raw material and the specific items present in both collections. In Trostyanchyk, as already mentioned, a hammerstone was found, in Onopriyivka — core-like fragments and chips of modify of cores. Such differences can be explained by both territorial and chronological discrepancies. Onopriyivka I is earlier, refers to the end of stage ВІ, Trostyanchyk — to the end of stage ВІІ. Trostyanchyk is located on the Southern Bug, Onopriyivka — in the Bugo-Dnieper interfluve. Although, perhaps, this situation is explained by the unevenness of the study of these sites. In addition, materials from the Vladyslavchyk settlement are published for the first time. Based on their analysis, using analogies from related and synchronous sites, the author tried to identify the features of the East Trypillia lithic industry in the Bug-Dnieper rivers interfluve. As it turned out, at the modern level, the identification of such features is not possible. The materials of the East Trypillia culture of the region are, on the whole, more similar to the materials of the settlements of the West Trypillia culture, than to related sites on the Southern Bug. Keywords: East Trypillia culture, Kukutenʹ-Trypillya, production, flint processing, Bug-Dnieper interfluve

This paper develops a thermodynamic input-output analysis of industrial economy for Hubei Province, which accounts for the flow of cumulative exergy consumption of primary energy. Firstly, the basic situation of energy utilization in 2007 Hubei Province is analyzed. Then two different methods are adopted for thermodynamic input-output analysis in this paper, which are named as industrial cumulative exergy consumption and ecological cumulative exergy consumption. Results show that primary energy extraction sectors and raw material processing sectors have prominent peaks on both industrial cumulative exergy consumption and ecological cumulative exergy consumption for the case of Hubei Province. In terms of primary energy extraction sectors, traditional energy which has high exergy content should be substituted for new energy which has low exergy content. In terms of raw material processing sectors, high energy efficient and clean energy utilization technology should be promoted.

The article analyzes the possibility and efficiency of processing stale tailings of flotation plants of the copper pyrite complex. The resource potential, material composition and technological capabilities of processing a number of technogenic objects are considered. The interrelation and influence of mineralogical and technological factors on the choice of tailings processing technology are analyzed. The results of chemical, mineral and phase analysis of stale flotation tailings of the studied pyrite ores are presented. According to the complex studies’ results, it is established that the stale flotation tailings of copper pyrite ores belong to a refractory type of geo-resources due to the high content of pyrite and low, at the level of ppm, gold and silver content, which are present mainly in the “resistant” minerals - chalcogenides, sulphides, their intergrowths. The article presents a factor analysis and conditions for the elemental composition of tailings formation: mineralogical, technological and environmental. The territorial accessibility and technological capability of the investigated technogenic formations are analyzed. In the course of experimental studies, the elemental composition of stale tailings has been revealed - the main components of which are: iron, sulfur, silicon and aluminum. According to the results of X-ray phase analysis, it has been found that the main ore mineral of the tailings is pyrite. At the same time, it is noted that the main share of gold in the stale flotation tailings is presented in the form of sulphides in the form of finely dispersed and isomorphic inclusions. The heterogeneous morphometric and mineral composition of sulphide aggregates, their difficult opening and high dispersion characterize stale tailings as a raw material that is difficult to float. The revealed features of the material composition of stale tails indicate the impossibility of extracting valuable components (gold and silver) from this resource using existing traditional technologies. It has been proved that it is possible to effectively extract precious metals from this category of raw materials only after their deep opening by chemical processing. The relevance of the research lies in the need to process gold-containing man-made waste in order to significantly expand the raw material base of mining enterprises, as well as to improve the ecological situation of the city-forming mining enterprises of the South Urals. The aim of the research is to study the material composition of stale tailings and develop a technology for selective extraction of gold and silver. The object of research is the stale flotation tailings of copper-pyrite enterprises of the Southern Urals. The subject is the mineral composition, the content of useful components of lying tailings and the technology of gold and silver selective extraction from them. Material and research methods. During the experiments, a set of physicochemical and chemical methods of analysis has been used: thermodynamic analysis, synchronous thermal analysis using a combined thermal analyzer of the Netzsch STA 449 F3 Jupiter brand, UV spectroscopy with an automated data processing system), qualitative chemical and assay analyzes

The state and prospects of development of the liquid biofuel market in the context of rationalization of the use of the available natural resource potential of the Ukraine are considered. It is established that, in general, the balance of renewable energy sources, production and use of liquid biofuels is negligible. It is noted that for the full development of the market of liquid biofuels, it is necessary to create a strong raw material base and appropriate infrastructure to ensure the storage, processing, transportation and sale of finished products. Attention is drawn to a lack of an effective public policy system that would encourage the production and use of bioethanol and biodiesel and the feasibility of developing a financial support programme for producers of this type of biofuel to ensure greater consumer appeal over traditional fuels. It is determined that in order to meet the indicators of the National Action Plan for the production of bioethanol and biodiesel, it is necessary to increase capacity and put new processing enterprises into operation. The structure of economic model formation is suggested, which reflects the necessary solutions for the development of the liquid biofuel market, which considers its benefits, risks, product confidence and types of support.
