Pyrotechnic articles shall be classified by manufacturers according to their type of use, their purpose and their level of risk, including their noise level, and the notified bodies shall confirm the classification as part of the conformity assessment procedures. In accordance with the relevant national legislation, the national authority must take all appropriate measures to ensure that pyrotechnic articles do not endanger the health and safety of persons. If the national market surveillance authority has sufficient reasons to consider that a pyrotechnic article poses a risk to the health, safety of persons or other aspects of the protection of the public interest, it shall carry out an assessment of the pyrotechnic article concerned. INCD INSEMEX Petrosani is an accredited institution, to carry out such technical expertise according to the legislation in force harmonized with the European regulations, having also adequate modern facilities for fulfilling the requirements of the standards in the field. The paper also highlights the results of the modernization of the methodological and practical infrastructure as well as the technical facilities that underlie the substantiation of the new approach in terms of optimizing and increasing the quality of the process.

INTRODUCTION Density, public health and safety, quality of life, and sustainability are some of the most confounding issues that major cities face today as they expand in population and area. How do we bring urban populations closer together in the public realm, while still providing space for the individual psyche and also increasing the overall sense of positive connection to the natural world and to each other? Robust natural landscapes have sometimes been considered a luxury within a functioning city, but more and more they are being recognized for the vital role they play in making cities livable. The story of Corktown Common relates how a landscape built of necessity was also designed to deliver myriad public benefits, including enhanced urban ecology and sustainability.

The public policy of Ecuador has placed the improvement of educational quality as one of the main objectives of government management. The climate-school constructs, organizational climate, work climate, and institutional climate, are used in different environments to accentuate the importance of the relationship established between a management environment  factor and the quality of results in organizations. Throughout this study, the objective has been to analyze the variations in the relationship among the actors, and the levels of trust between the actors of the school organizational climate, according to the socioeconomic level, the role played in the educational community, or the type of socio-educational center.  The study follows a new approach of an experimental, descriptive-comparative investigation, using techniques such as the survey, the interview, and the discussion group, adjusting to the mixed methodology according to the objectives and sense of the research proposed. In consideration of the results, we will appreciate that the relationships between the actors and the confidence levels of the actors show mostly positive indicators based on the responses of the participants in the study. However, the percentage of negative perceptions (24.34%) is a factor to consider, since it might suggest that these perceptions underlie indicators of distrust that should be taken into account for any future interventions. In conclusion, the schools participating in this study have built a mostly positive school organizational climate, which generates favorable spaces for innovation and change processes.

Understanding the factors that lie beneath travelers’ satisfaction and how they relate with service performance and different improvements is a key issue for operators and public authorities when aiming to maintain existing users and to attract potential users from the car's users. The purpose of the research is to investigate the perceived quality of public transportation in Bucharest, the capital of Romania, a city with over two million inhabitants and additional other two millions of transit citizens. This approach aims to identify the aspects that mostly influence the perception of overall quality of service and to investigate the main methods/instruments for evaluating the passenger satisfaction index. Moreover, the research aims to assess the public transportation users that are ready and available to shift their travelling habits from a fixed and periodic timetable service to the "mobility-as-a-service" approach. Research methodology combines qualitative study based on focus group with quantitative study based on surveys. The representative sample is selected from the Bucharest public transportation’s users. The results of the research could be used by the both public transportation operators and public authorities that have to comply to the national and european regulations in public transportation quality assurance.

The Brazilian Justice, propelled by the benefits that the technological era can bring to the speed of the jurisdictional provision, proposed the implementation of the Electronic Judicial Process (PJe). In this context of demand for effectiveness, this article aims to identify and evaluate comparatively the ergonomics practices versus the recommendations of the theory on the search of the effectiveness of the Brazilian public service. The analysis focuses on the implantation of the PJe in the Brazilian Courts of Justice and the repercussions on the Quality of Work Life, identifying opportunities for the improvement of the results through the development and application of Ergonomics. The methodological strategy included a review of the literature, field observation, unstructured interviews, document analysis and comparative evaluation of theoretical models and practices in the implantation of the PJe. The results obtained were constituted by a chart illustrating the comparison between practices identified in the implantation of the PC and the possible opportunities of Light Improvements of the literature in Ergonomics. It could be observed that, after almost 10 years since the publication of Law 11,419 / 2006, which defined the implantation of the PJe in the Brazilian Judiciary, there are still few studies that consider and implement care regarding the ergonomic risks and the health and safety of the servers.

With increasing frequency, the public is raising questions about the quality of American education and seeking information about students' performances in specific areas of the curriculum. Various assessment procedures are being used at the local, state, and national levels to provide data. As mathematics educators, we have an important stake in monitoring the quality of such efforts in mathematics. In particular, it is vital to examine closely the results of any assessments, interpreting the results carefully for their curricular implications and preparing ourselves to discuss them intelligently with the public.

Abstract. Comments sections under news articles have become popular spaces for audience members to oppose the mainstream media’s perspective on political issues by expressing alternative views. This kind of challenge to mainstream discourses is a necessary element of proper deliberation. However, due to heuristic information processing and the public concern about disinformation online, readers of comments sections may be inherently skeptical about user comments that counter the views of mainstream media. Consequently, commenters with alternative views may participate in discussions from a position of disadvantage because their contributions are scrutinized particularly critically. Nevertheless, this effect has hitherto not been empirically established. To address this gap, a multifactorial, between-subjects experimental study ( N = 166) was conducted that investigated how participants assess the credibility and argument quality of media-dissonant user comments relative to media-congruent user comments. The findings revealed that media-dissonant user comments are, indeed, disadvantaged in online discussions, as they are assessed as less credible and more poorly argued than media-congruent user comments. Moreover, the findings showed that the higher the participants’ level of media trust, the worse the assessment of media-dissonant user comments relative to media-congruent user comments. Normative implications and avenues for future research are discussed.

Using different cross-country data sets and simple econometric techniques we study public attitudes towards the police. More positive attitudes are more likely to emerge in the countries that have better functioning democratic institutions, less prone to corruption but enjoy more transparent and accountable police activity. This has a stronger impact on the public opinion (trust and attitudes) than objective crime rates or density of policemen. Citizens tend to trust more in those (policemen) with whom they share common values and can have some control over. The latter is a function of democracy. In authoritarian countries — “police states” — this tendency may not work directly. When we move from semi-authoritarian countries to openly authoritarian ones the trust in the police measured by surveys can also rise. As a result, the trust appears to be U-shaped along the quality of government axis. This phenomenon can be explained with two simple facts. First, publicly spread information concerning police activity in authoritarian countries is strongly controlled; second, the police itself is better controlled by authoritarian regimes which are afraid of dangerous (for them) erosion of this institution.
