A characteristic of modern society in the last few decades is the increasingly powerful exchange and transfer of knowledge through information technologies that offer tools for the production, creation, collection, organization, use and storage of knowledge and information. The research was conducted among students of the International University of Novi Pazar, with indicators that indicate the degree of understanding and use of computers and the development of information literacy, after which young people should understand and rationally use information and communication technologies. Students provided answers to questions such as: how to access information and how to evaluate information in a youth support process related to research processes that enable young people to find, download and make relevance assessments, Everyday use of computer-aided technologies by young people also generates larger amounts of information that are difficult to manage. So, young people have a large amount of important information that needs to be recognized on the one hand, and understood on the other, and finally situated in a harmonious relationship, so for them, in computer and IT terms, complex tasks are set, such as how to choose the right technology and how to manage that information. Information management refers, among other things, to the ability of young people to take responsibility, fundamentally for the process of planning, organizing, coordinating and controlling.

The authors consider the issue of civic engagement among students as one of the significant tasks of studying at university. In modern society, thanks to information technologies, the number of possibilities to manipulate public and individual consciousness, to involve young people in protest actions including illegal activities has increased significantly. Studying at university should contribute not only to the development of professional competencies, but also to the development of active civic engagement among students, since it is the youth who is responsible for the future of our country. As an example of solving an education problem, the authors present a training module on philosophy applying active teaching methods when studying the topic “Russia - West - East in the dialogue of cultures”.

The article considers the issue of the Russian economy reaching development limit, what actualizes the need to analyze the human capital index dynamics. The study of the human capital index components dynamics revealed a special priority of state policy. Analysis of the Russian educational system development revealed its feminization, which changes the principles of the modern society formation. A negative change in the Russian educational system was observed in the form of a significant decline in the growth of preschool youth of junior median age and preschool children of younger age, a significant gap in the growth rate of government spending on education (% of GDP) to spending on education as a percentage of total government spending. In general, the priority of state policy to ensure the survival of male children under 5 years of age and subsequent indifference to their socialization in the Russian educational system with clear signs of feminization escalate the problem of gender bias risk. The Russian economy development, based on the increment of surplus value in the process of exploitation of unskilled labor and the level of wages insufficient for natural reproduction of the latter, has reached its limit.

This paper focuses on the urge of young people to find a purpose in their lives and make them more meaningful by insisting on the uniqueness of every individual. It is ba-sed on the analysis of two films: Professor Kosta Vujić’s Hat (directed by Zdravko Šotra, 2012; based on the novel by MilovanVitezović) and Dead Poets Society (by Peter Weir, 1989). This journey is made through resisting and  ghting against rigid rules of the educational system. The metamorphosis is infiluenced by two extraordinary teachers who give their students motivation and support. We will also consider the role of a teacher in the modern society and the possibility to switch from an ordinary lecturer to an exceptional leader, who encourages these students to look at life from different perspectives by making them question common thinking patterns.

Freedom, autonomy and responsibility are the ends of every educational process, especially in the modern society: globalized, rapid, in transformation; society in which each one of us is called to make numerous choices. Therefore, it is urgent to educate to choose and educate to the choice, so that young people can emancipate themselves from possible conditionings. To this end, the Montessori method represents a privileged way: child is free to choose his own activity and learns "to do by himself" soon; the teacher prepares the environment and the materials that allow the student to satisfy the educational needs of each period of inner development. Then, Montessori gives importance to adolescence because it is during this period that grows the social man. Consequently, it is important to reform the secondary school in order to acquire the autonomy that each student will apply to the subsequent school grades and to all areas of life

Summary One cannot write about the relationship of young people and current sports stars in modern society without having previously studied the processes of mediation and globalisation of sport, and the transformation of traditional social values. The goal of the science and practice engaged in sports and education of young people is a constant quest for preserving universal ethical values and reconciling them with the modern-day social processes. This paper will present the result of a survey conducted with adolescents in five different Serbian cities in order to find the answer to the question if sportspersons were their favourite television role-models. According to the results of our survey, 45% of adolescents do not have a favourite TV personality and do not know for sure who that could be. Novak Đoković, who would be the choice of adults for a role model of the young, with 63.2% according to the survey conducted by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, scored 3.81% in our survey with adolescents who would chose Novak Đoković as their favourite TV personality. The necessity of raising media literacy of young people with the aim of clear identification of sports role models who are going to improve their quality of life still remains an open issue for further research on this course.

The model of a modern society is a „digital society” based on the widespread use of information and communication technologies. Information is of utmost importance. However, „unprocessed“, „unprepared“ information is not valuable, but quite the opposite – it causes great damage economic, technical, psychological, political and others). First of all, this concerns young people, who are exposed to the influence of „harmful factors“ (information messages, appeals) more than other categories of the population.
