Research background: Competitive pressure and high customer expectations lead to the use of new innovations for communication with customers. In many cases, this communication is based on CRM systems. CRM systems have great capabilities, but the current problem is evident in the difficulty of choosing the optimal CRM for small businesses due to doubts about unexpected needs (such as human sources, necessary hardware and software, finances and time). Purpose of the article: The aim of this paper is to support optimal customer contact through better CRM (Customer Relationship Management) implementation in a global society. The purpose of this article is to determine the necessary metrics (not just tough financial issues) to know the preferences for CRM with their weights. This information shows the possibilities of choosing the optimal CRM systems for business support to be improved in terms of automation and social media integration. Methods: The method solution is based on a review of the literature, specification of suitable metrics such as automation, cloud, free access, mobile access, segmentation, social media integration, and templates. The following data collection is the basis for a discussion on the possibilities of CRM implementation. Findings & Value added: The findings are based on the results of multidimensional decision making, which uses a comparison of selected criteria (such as the Fuller’s triangle). The value added is visible in the recommendation on how to choose a CRM system for small business to share the necessary information between marketers and customers through social networks to build a brand.

<p class="Default">SMM occupies an important role in the lives of people and so many people are represented in social networks, it provides the ideal platform for companies so they can communicate with their current and potential customers. This study continues to explore how companies can use social media marketing to build and maintain relationships with customers. This investigates through conducted research questions. How SMM is effective in terms of CRM? Can Facebook replace CRM system? Why do people choose to follow a company on Instagram? To analyze more clearly the focus will be on Instagram and Facebook applications, which in a short time acquired great popularity among private users as well as among the companies. Contemporary marketing recognizes the scope and complexities of marketing activities. It is a multidimensional and a dynamic concept, known as holistic marketing, that asks and allows for the support systems in order to permanently connect to the parties, to create value and long-term relationships among all. In this context, this chapter presents a wide review about conceptualization of relationship marketing and its evolution and integration within the broader concept of contemporary marketing. It highlights that the development of a program for implementing and managing a successful Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system is an essential part of a strategic contemporary marketing plan. Additionally, it is imperative to assess it to better demonstrate its success or failure. The metrics to do this are also revisited in this chapter. Still, the emerging capabilities of CRM systems using Internet technologies are putting tremendous challenges on organizations and their human resources. Reference is made to some social media tools that can be a cheap and useful support in marketing strategies.

Research background: CRM is one of the most popular tools of modern marketing in today’s globalized world. It is a purposefully set up management with customers, which synchronizes several internal company processes. Its justification is indisputable, as it is generally the case that companies that do not engage in customer relationship management are soon overshadowed by competition and fall into extinction. With the help of CRM, the company can manage not only the sale of products to customers but also following service. Sales staff, call center staff, service department staff and many others can thus use the CRM system. The subject of research in the paper is the use of CRM in Internet commerce. Purpose of the article: The development of a functional CRM system in a specific company and the introduction of selected CRM tools in the company’s online store can be considered a priority goal. Methods: During the elaboration of the paper, the methods of the compilation of analysis, synthesis and description were used on the basis of the search of the relevant literature. Findings & Value added: The paper contains findings on two levels. From the theoretical point of view, it provides an overview of the essence, development, individual elements, customer relationship strategy, as well as the technical architecture and possibilities of CRM implementation. From the practical point of view, it is about the design of a functional CRM system in a specific company and the introduction of selected CRM tools in the company’s online store In contrast, the CRM application in specific business conditions represents added value.


Larger companies have for some years used customer relationship management (CRM) systems as part of a strategy aimed at increasing turnover and market share, but the benefits of these systems for small businesses have often been viewed with skepticism. With more limited financial and human resources, the successful acquisition and implementation of systems of this scale can be problematic for small companies; yet the potential benefits are nevertheless attractive to companies that are often continually striving to increase market share and profitability, whilst retaining a firm control on revenue costs and capital expenditure. This chapter examines two case studies where the introduction of a new CRM system was the main component of a company-wide systems upgrade or replacement. The two case studies examine the issues that have produced different degrees of success at these companies, which not only implemented new systems but also addressed the required upskilling of staff and re-engineering of core business processes.

The implementation of Customer relationship Management (CRM) Systems has been increased within organizations for the purposes of increasing customer loyalty accompany with decreasing expenses and increasing revenues. The perception of the benefits associated with the implementation of CRM systems is an essential step for the adoption and implementation of CRM systems. Therefore, this paper presents the study conducted to investigate the perception of the CRM systems in the private hospitals in the northern part of India as there is a lack of adoption of CRM systems in hospitals. Qualitative research approach that is interview based was adapted in the study. The management of 10 private hospitals in the northern part of India was interviewed. The results reveal that no hospital has adopted CRM system. In addition, there is a substantial lack of understanding of the benefits of CRM systems in hospitals. Some hospitals claim that the implementation of CRM system is not of their priorities and there are much important projects as the implementation of Electronic Medical Records (EMD). However, other hospitals indicate for an existence of future plan for the adoption and implementation of CRM system. Another issue that needs to be taken into consideration by the vendors of CRM systems is the high costs associated with the implementation of CRM systems in hospitals. Indeed, both the vendors of CRM systems and the managers of hospitals hold the responsibility of the lack of CRM systems implementation in hospitals.

Customer Relationship Management has its roots in service marketing which is based in turn on the formative work of Berry (1983) and the IMP. Its purpose is to integrate marketing, sales and service functions through business process automation, technological solutions and information resources to maximize each customer contact. In this way service marketing systems facilitate relationships among enterprises, their customers, suppliers and employees and so provide the technological means to put relationship marketing philosophy into practice. Organizations that fail to keep up with competitor’s service marketing capabilities risk being seriously disadvantaged. However, the use of technology on its own is not sufficient and firms must combine developments in IT with a philosophy that calls for the re-organisation of the entire firm around its customers. This shift will not be easily achieved. Our purpose, based on collaborative Canfield/CSC Computer Sciences Corporation studies, is to identify the pitfalls, and offer advice on the successful implementation of service marketing systems in support of relationship marketing strategies, including an audit of the organization’s readiness to proceed.

Market is a kingdom and customer is the king. This is a renowned maxim pursued by the Indian companies in true spirit. With the advancement in modern technology, customers are becoming more and more informed about their need and want. Nowadays social media is educating them and they scout around for best product, brand name, product quality, operation, and service support. Marketing has thus, undergone a paradigm shift and has come up to the point of establishing relationship with customer. Not just retaining the existing customers but even attracting new customers has become a big challenge. This is the main reason why companies have shifted their focus from being product-centric to customer-centric.
