Problem Based Learning (PBL) and guided inquiry learning model develops intellectual ability as part of mental process. The purpose of this research is to know the difference of scientific communication ability between students who learn to use PBL model and guided inquiry, and to know whether there is influence the use of technology through PBL model and guided inquiry model to student scientific communication. The experimental research was conducted in 2 schools (SMP & MTs) Grobogan District. Examples consisted of 10 classes with 6 PBL model learning models, 4 guided inquiry model and 1 control class. The sample size is 352 students. Instruments using student worksheets and student research reports. The analysis used a one way variance with a significance level of 5% supported by students' skill and classical completeness. The results show the PBL model by giving the video at the beginning of learning gives the biggest influence with the average 83.615. The conclusion of this research is the better model of PBL in terms of individual capability, guided inquiry model better in terms of classical mastery. Improving scientific communication skills more effectively using PBL by providing video at the beginning of learning, followed by guided inquiry model with scientific reasoning. scientific communication skills more effectively using PBL with early video-giving activities and guided inquiry models with scientific reasoning.

This study aims to determine how the effect of problem-based learning models and gender on students' mathematical communication skills. By using data sources, namely primary data sources and secondary data, the primary data sources in this study were data that contained the research title, and secondary data in this study were supporting books related to the research title. The method used is the literature study. The results of this study indicate that the problem-based learning model has an influence on mathematical communication because each step in learning can support the development of students 'mathematical communication skills, the gender-based learning model has an influence on students' mathematical communication skills , but between female and male students different abilities.

Mathematical communication skills of students are still relatively low. One learning model can improve students 'mathematical communication skills and at the same time students' mathematical disposition is the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. The aim to be achieved is to find out the improvement of students 'mathematical communication skills and mathematical disposition using PBL models in terms of students' initial mathematical level. This research is an experimental research design with pretest posttest control group design. The research population was Grade VII students of SMP 9 Langsa. Students are grouped into two classes namely the experimental class and the control class randomly selected from eight parallel classes. The instrument used was a test of mathematical communication skills and a mathematical disposition questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using two-way ANOVA. The results showed that improving students 'mathematical communication ability and students' mathematical disposition by applying PBL learning models is better than students applying conventional learning models. There is no interaction between the PBL learning model with student level on mathematical communication skills and students' mathematical disposition. Abstrak Kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa masih tergolong rendah. Salah satu model pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dan sekaligus disposisi matematis siswa adalah model Problem Based Learning (PBL). Tujuan yang ingin dicapai ialah untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dan disposisi matematis menggunakan model PBL ditinjau dari kemampuan awal matematis siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan desain pretest postest control group design. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 9 Langsa. Siswa dikelompokkan menjadi dua kelas yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yang dipilih secara acak dari delapan kelas paralel. Instrumen yang digunakan tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan angket disposisi matematis. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan anova dua arah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dan disposisi matematis siswa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran PBL lebih baik dari pada siswa yang menerapkan model pembelajaran konvensional. Tidak terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran PBL dengan level siswa terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan disposisi matematis siswa. This research to determine the effectiveness of the application of PRODUKSI learning model to improve aspects of scientific communication skills. The research method used was experiment with one-group pretest-posttet design which replicated at three schools. The sample was chosen by purposive sampling. Data were collected by using tests that were then analyzed based on data characteristics. The analysis used is descriptive quantitative using N-Gain analysis and inferential statistics. The results showed that learning model of PRODUKSI efectively and significantly helped to improve the scientific communication skill, including aspects of scientific writing, scientific reading, observation, knowledge representation, and presentation in a moderate level.

INCREASING STUDENTS LEARNING OUTCOME THROUGH THE IMPLEMENTATION OF PROBLEM BASED-LEARNING MODEL ASSISTED WITH VIDEO ON THE CONCEPT OF ENVIRONMENTAL CHANGES AND PRESERVATION EFFORT       Juriah1, Zulfiani21SMA Negeri 3 Tangerang Selatan, Indonesia2UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, [email protected] research aims to determine the improvement of students’ biology learning outcomes in class X IPA 3 SMAN 3 Tangerang Selatan. It was conducted through the problem-based learning model assisted with video. The method was Classroom Action Research (CAR) held in two cycles. Using essay test and observation sheet, 29 students of class X IPA 3 were involved. The result showed that at the first cycle, students’ learning average was 85,31 with 93%learning completeness. Following the second cycle, both the learning average and completeness increased to 93,41 and 100% respectively. The results of the acquisition of communication skills and product making skills of the first cycle average 85,39 and the second cycle is 86,06. The average value of N-Gain in cycle I and II respectively is 0,67 and 0,79 (high category).  Students activities have also risen from 89% (cycle I) to 100% (cycle II). This concluded that problem based-learning model assisted with video enables students to enhance their learning outcomes especially on the concept of environmental changes and preservation effort. AbstrakPenelitian ini  bertujuan  untuk untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar biologi pada peserta didik kelas X IPA 3 SMAN 3 Kota Tangerang Selatan tahun ajaran 2016/2017 dengan menerapkan model problem based learning disertai media video.  Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Tiap siklus terdiri atas perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik  kelas  X IPA 3 SMAN 3 Kota Tangerang  Selatan tahun  ajaran 2016/2017 dengan jumlah peserta didik sebanyak 29 orang. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes uraian dan lembar observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pencapaian hasil belajar pengetahuan pada siklus I rerata  85,31 dengan jumlah yang mencapai Ketuntasan Belajar Minimal (KBM) 93%,  pada siklus II  rerata belajar 93.41 dengan KBM 100%. Hasil perolehan nilai keterampilan komunikasi dan keterampilan membuat produk siklus I rerata 85,39 dan siklus II  yaitu 86,06. Adapun rerata nilai N-Gain pada setiap siklusnya adalah 0,67 pada siklus I dan 0,79 pada siklus II dengan kategori pemahaman  tinggi. Aktifitas peserta didik juga meningkat dari 89% pada siklus I menjadi 100% pada siklus II. Hasil ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model problem based learning berbantu media video dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar pada konsep perubahan lingkungan.

This study aims to determine the differences in mathematical communication skills of students in the material opportunities by using PBL and CTL learning models in class X of the Al-Istiqomah Private Vocational School in the Regency of Java. This type of research is semi-experimental. The population in this study were all students of class X of Private Al-Istiqomah Vocational School, Regency of Java. The research sample was 2 classes. The results of the research obtained F_count> F table which is 15.31> 3.99, so to test the hypothesis it can be concluded that rejecting H0 means thank Ha, there are differences in mathematical communication skills of students taught using problem based learning models with students taught using Contextual Teaching learning models Lerning. There are differences in mathematical communication skills of students taught using a problem-based learning model compared to students who are taught using the 9% Contextual Teaching Lerning learning model
