This study aims to determine the differences in mathematical communication skills of students in the material opportunities by using PBL and CTL learning models in class X of the Al-Istiqomah Private Vocational School in the Regency of Java. This type of research is semi-experimental. The population in this study were all students of class X of Private Al-Istiqomah Vocational School, Regency of Java. The research sample was 2 classes. The results of the research obtained F_count> F table which is 15.31> 3.99, so to test the hypothesis it can be concluded that rejecting H0 means thank Ha, there are differences in mathematical communication skills of students taught using problem based learning models with students taught using Contextual Teaching learning models Lerning. There are differences in mathematical communication skills of students taught using a problem-based learning model compared to students who are taught using the 9% Contextual Teaching Lerning learning model

Mathematical communication skills of students are still relatively low. One learning model can improve students 'mathematical communication skills and at the same time students' mathematical disposition is the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. The aim to be achieved is to find out the improvement of students 'mathematical communication skills and mathematical disposition using PBL models in terms of students' initial mathematical level. This research is an experimental research design with pretest posttest control group design. The research population was Grade VII students of SMP 9 Langsa. Students are grouped into two classes namely the experimental class and the control class randomly selected from eight parallel classes. The instrument used was a test of mathematical communication skills and a mathematical disposition questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using two-way ANOVA. The results showed that improving students 'mathematical communication ability and students' mathematical disposition by applying PBL learning models is better than students applying conventional learning models. There is no interaction between the PBL learning model with student level on mathematical communication skills and students' mathematical disposition. Abstrak Kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa masih tergolong rendah. Salah satu model pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dan sekaligus disposisi matematis siswa adalah model Problem Based Learning (PBL). Tujuan yang ingin dicapai ialah untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dan disposisi matematis menggunakan model PBL ditinjau dari kemampuan awal matematis siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan desain pretest postest control group design. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 9 Langsa. Siswa dikelompokkan menjadi dua kelas yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yang dipilih secara acak dari delapan kelas paralel. Instrumen yang digunakan tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan angket disposisi matematis. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan anova dua arah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dan disposisi matematis siswa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran PBL lebih baik dari pada siswa yang menerapkan model pembelajaran konvensional. Tidak terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran PBL dengan level siswa terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan disposisi matematis siswa. Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of 'Contextual Teaching and Learning' on students 'mathematical communication skills in terms of students' self-confidence. This research uses factorial design. The population in this study were all students of class VII Madrasah Tsanawiyah Ansharullah Birandang Island in the academic year 2018/2019. The sample of this study is students of class VII.B as an experimental class and class VIII as a control class. The instrument used was a questionnaire instrument to measure the level of students 'Self Confidence and description tests to measure students' mathematical communication skills. Data were analyzed using two-way ANOVA. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that: 1) There are differences in mathematical communication skills between students who take the CTL learning model and students who take conventional learning. 2) There is no influence of the interaction between CTL learning models with Self Confidence on students' mathematical communication skills. Thus in general the CTL learning model influences students' mathematical communication skills.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh 'Contextual Teaching and Learning' terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa ditinjau dari self-confidence siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan disain faktorial. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII Madrasah Tsanawiyah Ansharullah Pulau Birandang tahun ajaran 2018/2019. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII.B sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelasVII.A sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah instrumen angket tuntuk mengukur tingkat Self Confidence siswa dan tes uraian untuk mengukur kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan anova dua arah. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa: 1) Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan komunikasi matematis antara siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran CTL dengan siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional. 2) Tidak terdapa tpengaruh interaksi antara model pembelajaran CTL dengan Self Confidence terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Dengan demikian secara umum model pembelajaran CTL berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa.

This research was motivated by the lack of learning tools that can improve students' Mathematical Communication Skills (KKM). Activities that can encourage students to improve KKM have not been designed by the teacher in the learning device properly. This study aims to produce learning tools by applying Problem Based Learning models to improve KKM. This development research used the ADDIE development model with the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The results of Syllabus, RPP, LKPD and KKM validation results showed highly valid criteria with percentages of 91.67%, 91.30%, 89.09%, and 87.15%, respectively. Practicality results indicate a very practical criterion with the percentage of small group trials at 95.57%, large group trials at 96.07%, and teacher responses at 96.25%. The effectiveness test results state that KKM of students who use learning tools with PBL models is better than KKM of students who use conventional learning.

This study aims to determine (1) the mathematical communication ability of students taught by the gallery walk type cooperative learning model is higher than the mathematical communication skills of students taught by conventional learning models (2) student responses through the application of the gallery walk type cooperative learning model to communication skills. mathematics students of SMP Negeri 8 Padangsidimpuan. The research method used is quasi-experimental. The population of this study were all seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 8 Padangsidimpuan. Sampling using simple random sampling. The sample is class VII-2 as the experimental class and class VII-1 as the control class. Data collection using a mathematical communication ability test sheet.The results showed (1) t_(count )= 3.56 and t_(table )= 1.67 or) t_(count ) > t_(table ) so that it can be concluded that students' mathematical communication skills are taught by cooperative learning model type gallery walk is higher than the mathematical communication ability of students who are taught by conventional learning models. (2) Based on the results of student responses, an average score of 3.55 was obtained so that it can be concluded that student responses through the application of the gallery walk type cooperative learning model to the mathematical communication skills of SMP Negeri 8 Padangsidimpuan students were very positive.

Students’ low mathematical communication skill is influenced by several factors such as learning models applied by teachers in the classroom and the students’ learning motivation. Advanced organizer Model is appropriate to improve the students’ low ability. This study aims to determine whether: (1) there is an influence of advance organizer model toward the mathematical communication skill; (2) there is an influence of learning motivation toward the students’ mathematical communication skill, and; (3) there is an interaction between learning model and motivation toward mathematical communication skill. This research employs quasi-experimental design and the statistical analysis used is the two-ways variance with unequal cells. The result of this research shows that: (1) there is an influence of advance organizer model toward mathematical communication skill; (2) there is an influence of learning motivation toward students’ mathematical communication skill, and ; (3) there is no interaction between learning model and motivation toward mathematical communication ability.

This study aims to determine how the effect of problem-based learning models and gender on students' mathematical communication skills. By using data sources, namely primary data sources and secondary data, the primary data sources in this study were data that contained the research title, and secondary data in this study were supporting books related to the research title. The method used is the literature study. The results of this study indicate that the problem-based learning model has an influence on mathematical communication because each step in learning can support the development of students 'mathematical communication skills, the gender-based learning model has an influence on students' mathematical communication skills , but between female and male students different abilities.

This study aims to find out (1) the POGIL learning model effective on mathematical communication skills. (2) conventional learning models are effective against mathematical communication skills. (3) the difference between the POGIL learning model and the conventional model of mathematical communication skills. This research is quasi-experimental research with the research design of The Nonequivalent Posttest Only Control Group Design. The population in this study is all students of grade VII MTS Negeri 02 Kerinci. This study's sample consisted of an experimental class and a control class selected by a random sampling cluster. The research instrument is a test f mathematical communication ability, and the data is analyzed using one-sample t-test statistics and independent t-test samples. This study shows that (1) the POGIL learning model is effective on mathematical communication skills. (2) conventional learning models are ineffective against mathematical communication skills. (3) there is a difference between the POGIL learning model and the conventional model of mathematical communication skills.

In fact, the implementation of the teaching-learning process does not train and develop students' communication skills to cause interaction between students, such as working together, expressing ideas, asking questions, and responding to questions / opinions of other students. The teachers have applied the discussion learning model, but this is done with a direct learning model. During the discussion, the teacher only gives a number of assignments to students which contain almost all of the material without giving instructions, so that the students' thinking patterns do not develop and are not stimulated to think critically. This research was conducted at SD Negeri No.030277 Teladan Sidikalang, Sidikalang District, Dairi Regency. The population in this study was all fifth grade students of SD Negeri No.030277 Teladan Sidikalang which consisted of 3 classes totaling 91 students. Class VA as many as 31 students, class VB as many as 30 students, and class V-C as many as 30 students. There is a significant influence between learning (guided discovery learning and direct learning) on students' mathematical communication skills. The effect of the independent variable on changes in the dependent variable is 31.2%, while the remaining 68.8% is influenced by other variables. There is a significant influence between learning (guided discovery learning and direct learning) on students' self confidence. The effect of independent variables on variable changes is 9.6%, while the remaining 90.4% is influenced by other variables.

This research is a quasi-experimental study which aims to describe the effect of cooperative learning type Think Pair Share (TPS) on students' mathematical communication skills, and to find out the percentage of students' activeness in participating in learning and knowing students' positive responses to learning. The output that will be generated in this study is that students can be more active in the learning process, more active in solving mathematical problems, and can be more confident in expressing their answers in public so that after applying cooperative learning models the Think Pair Share (TPS) mathematical communication skills of students will be better. The research subjects were divided into 2 groups, namely the experimental group taught using the cooperative learning model Think Pair Share (TPS) type, and the control group taught using Conventional learning models. Each group is taught with the same frequency of meetings with the same material. The results of the study show that the application of the cooperative learning model Think Pair Share (TPS) influences students' mathematical communication skills

ABSTRACTThis research is based on the fact there are many teachers who have difficulty in developing curriculum-based learning in 2013 that creative thinking skills of the students are still not enough. The development of learning tools in this study describes and analyzes the application of CTL with a device developed can enhance creative thinking skills of fifth grade students of primary school. The development of research include: Learning Implementation Plan (RPP), Student Worksheet (LKS), Sheet Improvement Thinking Skills tested the V-B grade 28 student and class V-A 28 students at SDN Dr. Sutomo VIII Surabaya. Development of the device development model four D Thiagarajan 1974 consisting of phase (1) definition, (2) design, (3) development and distribution of modified into 3-D followed by the implementation of classroom learning by using a pretest-posttest control group design The results showed that (1) the learning model CTL can improve the ability of creative thinking of students, because it uses a learning model CTL will give students the opportunity to menggembangkan experience in daily activities those with learning Acquisition of learning outcomes have proved also that an increase in the ability to think creatively graders experiments using CTL higher learning model with excellent category than students in grade control make conventional learning models. Learning activities of students who receive treatment models Contextual Teaching Learning Imaging better than the learning activities of students who followed the conventional learning. This is evidenced by the test results that the overall activity of students using different learning models significant CTL activity of students who take the learning with conventional learning model. Keywords: Learning Model CTL, Creative Thinking.  ABSTRAKPenelitian ini didasari dari oleh kenyataan masih banyak guru yang mengalami kesulitan dalam mengembangkan pembelajaran berdasarkan kurikulum 2013 sehingga keterampilan berfikir kreatif yang dimiliki siswa masih kurang. Pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran dalam penelitian ini mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis penerapan CTL dengan perangkat yang dikembangkan dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berfikir kreatif siswa kelas V sekolah dasar. Penelitian pengembangan ini meliputi: Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP), Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS), Lembar Peningkatan Keterampilan Berfikir yang diujicobakan pada kelas V-B 28 siswa dan kelas V-A 28 siswa di SDN Dr. Sutomo VIII Surabaya. Pengembangan perangkat menggunakan model pengembangan four D Thiagarajan 1974 yang terdiri atas tahap (1) pendefinisian, (2) perancangan, (3) pengembangan, dan penyebaran yang dimodifikasi menjadi 3-D dilanjutkan dengan pelaksanaan pembelajaran di kelas dengan menggunakan rancangan pretest-posttest control grup design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) model pembelajaran CTL dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berfikir kreatif siswa, karena menggunakan model pembelajaran CTL akan memberi kesempatan siswa untuk menggembangkan pengalaman pada kegiatan sehari-hari mereka dengan pembelajaran Perolehan hasil belajar telah membuktikan pula bahwa peningkatan kemampuan berfikir kreatif siswa kelas eksperimen dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran CTL lebih tinggi dengan kategori sangat baik daripada siswa kelas kontrol yang menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Aktivitas belajar siswa yang mendapatkan perlakuan model Contextual Teaching Learning lebih baik dibandingkan dengan aktivitas belajar siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil pengujian bahwa secara keseluruhan aktivitas siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran CTL berbeda signifikan dengan aktivitas siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran konvensional. Kata Kunci : Model Pembelajaran CTL, Berfikir Kreatif.
