Abstract The rapid development of information technology has brought opportunities and challenges to English teaching. Online teaching has become a trend in language teaching, and it is also the core of the ongoing reform of English teaching. It not only changes the traditional English classroom thinking and teaching methods, but also changes the students’ learning environment and learning methods. At present, many experts and scholars at home and abroad have conducted research on the teaching activities of English network. Researchers have also put in a lot of effort and research to study how to use online platforms to help teach English. This article focuses on the study of multimedia-assisted English teaching in higher vocational education based on the Internet. First, it uses the literature research method to explain the problems in multimedia-assisted English teaching in higher vocational education, then puts forward some relevant suggestions for improvement, and finally uses the questionnaire method to analyze the multimedia A survey on the status quo of English teaching in higher vocational colleges was conducted. The results of the survey showed that the multimedia construction in schools is still good at this stage. Among them, computer equipment accounts for the most, reaching about 39%, and then the slide projector, accounting for about 32%. Regarding whether multimedia teaching can replace traditional teaching, 55% of teachers think that it can be partially replaced, and 31% of teachers think that the two should be combined.

English teaching in higher vocational education has always been one of the difficulties. Due to the weak learning foundation of students, insufficient learning ability, and some problems in teaching methods, the quality of higher vocational English teaching has never been effectively improved. This article analyzes the current problems in English classroom education in higher vocational education from the perspective of education ecology, and implements some effective teaching reform measures for these problems, in order to effectively improve the quality of higher vocational English teaching and enhance students' comprehensive ability.

Online teaching would become a development trend in the field of education. Based on the characteristics of online education and the theory of constructivism, the elements of online teaching would undergo fundamental changes which would certainly lead to revolutionary educational concepts, contents, designs, methods, etc. With the continuous rapid development of China’s economy, the scale of vocational education has expanded. In combination with the constructivist learning theory to explain the meaning of online education, analysis of the feasibility of secondary vocational education and their students, as well as the online education in secondary vocational schools, a feasible online teaching design is constructed for vocational teachers. Through research, it is found that the online teaching of secondary vocational education teachers based on constructivism requires improvement in some of their abilities and personal qualities.

The current college English online teaching mode is mainly based on the traditional online MOOC teaching, which has some problems such as poor interaction. Under the mixed background, this paper studies the online college English teaching model based on the Gaussian mutation genetic algorithm and neural network algorithm. Firstly, it briefly introduces the general situation of network English teaching and the hybrid application of the Gaussian mutation genetic algorithm. Through the investigation and test analysis of students before and after class, the experiment evaluates students’ network teaching quality in many aspects. On this basis, a better teaching quality evaluation model is proposed. Finally, the practical application shows that the model in this paper is very feasible. In the end, students have higher enthusiasm and seriousness in the hybrid context of college English online teaching based on the dual algorithm. English teaching quality can make use of each student’s test scores in English classroom. This paper realizes the overall teaching through real-time dynamic tracking. Quantitative indicators are used to sort the influence degree of English classroom teaching indicators, which can effectively evaluate the quality of English classroom teaching.

With the rapid development of information technology, multimedia-assisted instruction has been widely used in classroom teaching, especially in English classroom teaching, the importance of multimedia teaching has been generally recognized. However, there are still some problems in the practical application of multimedia teaching, which deserve further study. Taking 400 students and 50 teachers as the subjects of investigation, through my own English classroom teaching practice, observation and investigation, this paper explores and analyses the real situation of multimedia English teaching from many aspects, and reflects on how to improve multimedia English teaching more effectively in the multimedia environment. In English teaching, we should correctly view the position of multimedia in teaching, correctly understand the traditional English teaching relative to multimedia, organically combine multimedia English teaching with traditional English teaching, and pay attention to people-oriented, teacher-student interaction and emotional exchange in multimedia classroom teaching. Finally, according to the survey results, we can know that what is important is not the improvement of teaching methods and equipment but whether the teaching concept is updated.

AbstractWith the rapid development of Higher Vocational Education in China, the main objective is to improve the quality of Higher Vocational Education in an all-round way. For a long time, higher vocational education has been using the knowledge-based education mode of general higher education or secondary vocational education. Until the early 1990s, the ability-based education model was gradually introduced. The understanding and research of higher vocational education should not be confined to the interior of education. Many policies and measures to accelerate development have been introduced, and the scale of vocational education has been expanding in recent years. Higher vocational education in China has become an important part of higher education. It is an important type of higher education and a high level of vocational education. In order to cultivate the sound personality of students in higher vocational colleges, it is necessary to establish a personality-based education model. Realize the innovation of talent training mode and the quality improvement of personnel training. Meeting the new normal of the innovation-driven society, the demand for high-quality technical skills is required. It is a major practical problem facing the current construction of a modern vocational education system.

In the Internet age, teachers should keep up with the trend of the times, grasp the convenience brought by the Internet, and strive to apply excellent online teaching resources to actual English teaching, so as to increase students’ interest in learning and stimulate their enthusiasm for learning.
