Abstract Sugar palm is a commodity that has a high value of benefits and has become one of the home industries that are mostly cultivated by rural communities in Indonesia. Likewise, the community in Lombo Village, Pituriase sub-district, Sidrap district also cultivates palm sugar as a source of income in addition to their main job as a farmer. The purpose of this study were to identify the potential and characteristics of sugar palm and palm sap to serve as the basis for developing the palm sugar business in Lombo Village. This research was conducted using a sampling method to identify the potential of palm trees and interview methods to identify production data and characteristics of palm sap. The results showed that the number of sugar palm trees in Lombo Village was 2,038 trees consisting of 118 trees being tapped, 585 trees ready to be tapped, and 1,335 trees still waiting for about 3-4 years to be tapped. The average sap production is 995 liters/day and produces 139.2 kg/day of sugar, so it can be seen that the content of brix of palm sap in Lombo Village is 14%. The selling price of sugar produced by the community is Rp. 25,000- per kg so that the sales received by the craftsmen in Lombo Village is Rp. 3,480,000 - per day or Rp. 108,750,-/craftsman/day.

The study aims to determine (1) the state of social capital businesses agro-industry palm sugar in the buffer zones of protected forest sub district of Bulango Ulu Bone Bolango regency, (2) the state of the business development agro-industry of palm sugar in the buffer zones of protected forest sub district of Bulango Ulu Bone Bolango regency, (3) the role of social capital for the development of agro-industrial enterprises palm sugar in the buffer zone of protected forests Bulango Ulu sub district Bone Bolango regency. This research is quantitative. Sources of data in this research are secondary data from the primary data from questionnaires to farmers. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistics and regression. These results indicate that (1) Social capital is owned by farmers in a fairly good state because it has an average value of 83.32%. This shows that people in a community of palm sugar craftsmen were able to cooperate with each other and mutual cooperation in achieving the common good in a business that was involved. (2) The Palm Sugar Agro-industry business development in the area of protected forest buffer Bulango Ulu sub district Bone Bolango regency has been running quite well because it has an average value of 76.76%. (3) In partial and simultaneously social trust, social norms, social networks and local wisdom a significant effect on the business development process agro-industry of palm sugar in the buffer area of protected forests Bulango Ulu sub district Bone Bolango regency the determinant value of 79.90%.

This program of community service activities aims to provide education to the public about processing palm sugar into ant sugar. With the assistance in the form of ant sugar processing equipment and education about palm sugar processing so it is not easy to taste acid can increase the knowledge of entrepreneurs in developing their businesses. Palm sugar which was originally a sugar that easily melts and is packaged in a very simple form will have a higher selling value because it is made in the form of ant sugar and packaged in such a way. The tim of this community service activity give educate in the form of the equipment. And its processing so that they are able to understand more the process of palm sugar into ant sugar.

This paper aims to discuss how the actual potential of existing sugar palm development in farm households. The study was conducted using case study method, where the primary data is the main data used to address the research questions. Data were collection using questionnaire which were analysed with qualitative and quantitative approach. The result of the research shows that sugar palm is a commodity that has prospect to be developed to increase income and improve welfare of poor farmers. The potential of sugar palm business development was analysed in terms three aspects: 1) condition of land availability; 2) Manpower owned for palm sugar business; And 3) Experience about palm sugar plants business. Perceptions of farmers are also quite supportive for the development of palm sugarbusiness, although including the medium category because they look very open toaccept innovation.

The purpose of this study is to: (1) review and analyze the strategies that have been implemented by 10 young entrepreneur’s Program of IbK of STIEAD Jakarta in developing their businesses over the years; (2) identify and analyze the strategies that will be run by them for the next day; (3) analyze and formulate proposals for business development strategy is relevant to young entrepreneurs run by them. The results shows, the strategy which conducted by them is actually still conventional and little is applying modern business patterns. However, they have a plan/strategy development effort that started steady state. Targets that have been set should be reassessed and to be rationalized, if the strategy is capable of being implemented. The recommendations concerned are for all tenants should have self determination for entrepreneurship, able to instill confidence, and always looking for a way out in case of a deadlock

Usaha Kecil Menengah (UKM) adalah salah satu penggerak perekonomian suatu daerah, termasuk Kota Sorong. UKM di Kota Sorong belum berkembang secara optimal. Ada beberapa penyebab diantaranya adalah mengenai finansial, lokasi, bahan baku dan lain-lain. Untuk menyelesaikan permasalah tersebut peneliti terdorong untuk melakukan pengembangan Aplikasi yang dapat membantu menentukan prioritas UKM yang sesuai dengan kondisi pelaku usaha. Pada penelitian ini akan digunakan metode Analitycal Hierarchy Process (AHP), untuk pengambilan keputusannya. Metode AHP dipilih karena mampu menyeleksi dan menentukan alternatif terbaik dari sejumlah alternatif yang tersedia. Dalam hal ini alternatif yang dimaksudkan yaitu UKM terbaik yang dapat dipilih oleh pelaku usaha sesuai dengan kriteria yang telah ditentukan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan mencari nilai bobot untuk setiap atribut, kemudian dilakukan proses perankingan yang akan menentukan alternatif yang optimal, yaitu UKM. Aplikasi Sistem Pendukung Keputusan yang dikembangkan berbasis Android, dimana pengguna akan mudah menggunakannya sewaktu-waktu jika terjadi perubahan bobot pada kriteria atau intensitas.  Hasil akhir menunjukkan bahwa metode AHP berhasil diterapkan pada Aplikasi Penentuan Prioritas Pengembangan UKM.

The paper deals with the research devoted to characteristics of high tech business development in Russia. Companies’ performance indicators have been analyzed with the help of regression analysis and author’s scheme of leadership stability and sustainability assessment. Data provided by Russia’s Fast Growing High-Tech Companies’ National Rating (TechUp) during 2012-2016 were used. The results have revealed that the high tech sector is characterized by high level of uncertainty. Limited number of regions and sectors which form the basis for high tech business have been defined. Relationship between innovation activity’s indicators and export potential is determined.
