In response to growing importance of household waste management issue, this article deals with the positioning of household waste transfer points from a government-organized waste perspective. By taking Surakarta, a municipality in Central Java, Indonesia as an example, the problem in the municipality is formulated as an MILP, is approached with a capacity-weighted set covering method, and finally is solved by using software LINGO 11. The article concludes that the transfer point alternatives of Sondakan Kuburan, Norowangsan, SPSA, Pajang Rel, Bonoloyo and Kedung Tungkul should be selected in order to be able to serve all the household waste producers for the maximum household waste generated. On the contrary, the selection of Sondakan Kuburan, Bonoloyo and Kedung Tungkul only should be able to provide service to all of the household waste produced for the scenario of minimum amount of household waste.

There are several petirtaans or bathing structures in Central Java that become an integral part of a temple complex. Such a phenomenon can be seen in the layout of Ngempon Temple and Petirtaan Derekan which are located close to each other. This research aims to analyze the implementation of the book of Manasara-Silpasastra in the layout of Petirtaan Derekan and Ngempon Temple as an integrated whole. The research was carried out by analyzing secondary data obtained from a literature review and interviews. The secondary data were corroborated with data obtained from field observations. Results of the analysis indicate that the layout of Pechaka in Manasara-Silpasastra might become the basis for the positioning of Ngempon Temple at the northeast of Petirtaan Derekan. This shows that the book of Manasara-Silpasastra might be implemented in the layout of the complex of Ngempon temple.

Work program bidding is established as the favoured method of allocating petroleum exploration tenements in offshore Australian waters and most of onshore Australia. However, the selection of winning bids can be complicated by the ranking of 2D versus 3D seismic, seismic versus drilling, program timing issues etc. On occasion the selection of the winning bids has been contentious. This paper summarises the process developed by the Petroleum Group in South Australia to select the winning work program bids for prospective onshore blocks for which bids have been gazetted. No other Australian jurisdiction has yet publicly released their detailed bid assessment processes.Onshore acreage releases with work program bidding have been used in South Australia since the 1980s by Petroleum Group to:focus industry onto specific prospective areas of the State (e.g. the Cooper Basin post expiry of PELs 5 and 6 in 1999); maximise exploration commitments; and achieve competition policy. The South Australian Petroleum Act 2000 allows cash or work program bidding to be used depending on the acreage. Acreage releases are announced by Ministerial press release. Associated clear bid assessment criteria are published together with promotional material to aid applicants. The date and time for close of bidding are also established, usually allowing a 6–9 month acreage evaluation period, the timeframe depending on the volume of data involved, i.e. the exploration maturity of the area.Applications received as a result of a gazettal process (i.e. competing bids) are assessed by a process designed to ensure probity and to achieve the over-arching aim of the bidding process i.e. the suitability of the applicants proposed work program for evaluating the prospectivity of the licence area and discovering petroleum.A scoring system has been developed which establishes, for each bid what is effectively a risked net present value in well equivalents. In this system, guaranteed work scores higher than non-guaranteed work; early work scores higher than later work; wells with multiple targets are scored higher than single target wells; 2D and 3D seismic and other exploration activity is converted into well equivalents; and loading of the later, non-guaranteed years of work programs are heavily discounted. The scoring system may also take into account differences in the amount and density of exploration data and minor variations may be made to the system to take this into account. It is intended that details of the scoring system to be used in bid assessment will be published each time bids are sought to ensure transparency and a level playing field.Comparisons are made with acreage management philosophy and processes used by other regulatory regimes in Australia and internationally.

A simple scoring system that enables surgeons to make an estimation of the likelihood of postoperative urinary retention (POUR) in patients undergoing lower limb total joint replacement would be a useful one. This would enable selection of high risk patients who merit pre-operative catheterisation in a clean theatre environment rather than risking urinary retention and its associated complications late at night on the ward by junior, inexperienced staff. The International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS) is such a scoring system and we assessed its reliability in predicting those male patients likely to go into POUR. We selected all male patients undergoing lower limb total joint arthroplasty under spinal anaesthesia and calculated their IPSS. We found a statistically significant increase in the likelihood of POUR as IPSS rises (p=0.0002). We concluded that the IPSS is a quick and easy method of predicting those at risk of POUR, allowing them to be catheterised prophylactically, preventing possible complications.

Southern coast of Java, especially Pagak beach, Purworejo Regency is a potential area with various types of biota that are often used by local people as food. One of the biota is mole crab that is useful ecologically and economically, while the existing utilization is not yet optimal and sustainable. The purpose of this research is to know the abundance and distribution pattern of mole crab as the basis for the selection of good and sustainable fishing areas of mole crab, and the relationship between substrate salinity and the abundance of mole crab at Pagak beach, Purworejo Regency. The study was conducted in January 2018. Samples collection of biota and substrate were conducted at three stations where each station was carried out with three replication on different days. Purposive sampling technique was used to take the sample. The results showed the abundance of mole crab (hippidae) at Pagak beach ranged from 2 to 4 individuals / m2 with a group pattern of distribution. The abundance tends to be higher in the substrate salinity of 33-35 ppt range. Substrate salinity and abundance of mole crab have weak relationships

Implementation of rice extension as an effort to support the Program Upaya Khusus Peningkatan Produksi  Padi, Jagung dan Kedelai (Upsus Pajale) in Central Java Province. The extension of Integrated Crop Management (IPM) of rice technology aims to encourage farmers to implement the technology. The selection of extension methods affects farmers' acceptance of the IPM of rice. This study aims to examine the methods and media of extension used to disseminate IPM of rice and how farmers respond to extension methods and extension media. This study uses a quantitative approach. Data collection using survey techniques from September 2018 to March 2019. Respondents from 153 farmers were in 6 districts / cities, Purbalingga Regency, Tegal Regency, Magelang Regency, Purworejo Regency, Magelang City and Semarang City. The results showed that during the program period, extension worker used a variety of extension methods. Based on the target number, the extension worker used two extension methods, namely the group approach and the individual approach. Based on the recipient's senses, the extension worker used methods that prioritize the sense of sight, sense of hearing and a combination of sense of acceptance. The type of communication used is direct and indirect communication using print media, electronic media, and sometimes social media. Farmers think the extension method, extension media and extension tools are good enough. The response of farmers who rate is good enough can be an indicator that the implementation of extension is going well enough. For the implementation of extension services in the future, it is recommended that extension agents choose extension methods that are more appropriate for farmers so that the extension goals are achieved optimally.
