Abstract The article is devoted to the development and study of new compositions based on spent sunflower oil for the protective treatment of natural wood. Samples of birch and aspen wood were selected as the subjects of the study. The processing of wood samples was carried out by the method of “hot-cold impregnation”. Refined sunflower oil was used as the oil base of the propearized compounds developed. Plant oil fillers were chosen wood flour, stearic acid, canifol and sikkativ based on metal salts. The use of developed compounds can improve the hydrophobic properties of wood, increase its water and water resistance, as well as reduce swelling in tangential and radial directions. The optimal compositions on the basis of spent vegetable oil for protective processing of birch wood have been selected. The difference in the modifying capacity of the developed compositions for different types of wood is shown on the example of birch and aspen. Propiary compounds based on spent vegetable oil have environmental safety and their use allows the disposal of food waste.

The aim of this work was to study compositions based on vegetable oil waste and nanoscale zinc oxide particles for processing natural wood. The sol-gel method was used for the synthesis of zinc oxide nanoparticles. The synthesized zinc oxide nanoparticles did not contain impurities and had a shape close to spherical, and their size did not exceed 20 nm. We used freshly prepared suspensions of zinc oxide nanoparticles in used vegetable oil with their content in the amount of 0.1, 0.5 and 1.0 wt. parts per 100 parts of oil. The wood was treated by hot-cold impregnation. The tests were carried out on samples of birch and pine wood of standard sizes. In the modified samples, the wetting angle, moisture and water absorption, as well as their swelling were determined. It is shown that the use of zinc oxide nanoparticles in compositions based on vegetable oil waste can significantly reduce the moisture and water resistance of wood and reduce its swelling. The optimal dosages of the nanopowder introduced into the used vegetable oil and the conditions of impregnation were selected. The compositions used on the basis of vegetable oil waste are characterized by environmental safety, and the resulting wood samples had an improved appearance.

The purpose of this work was to develop and study new safe formulations for wood processing based on used vegetable oil. The waste of refined vegetable oil, which remains after cooking, was used as the modifying base of the developed compositions. Impregnation of wood samples of standard sizes was carried out by the method of “hot-cold baths”. Starch was used as a filler, and a precipitated type NF-1 desiccant was used to accelerate the drying of the applied compositions. The properties of wood were controlled by changes in such indicators as water absorption, as well as swelling in the radial and tangential directions. The use of a desiccant in compositions based on used vegetable oil and starch makes it possible to reduce the drying time and solidification of the surface film and improve the water-repellent properties of wood. The optimal dosages of the siccative and filler were selected. A comparative assessment of the use of compositions based on used vegetable oil fordifferent types of wood is carried out on theexample of birch and pine. The developed impregnating compositions have availability, low cost and environmental safety. The use of protective compositions based on used vegetable oil allows you to improve the properties of natural wood and dispose of production waste.

Wood is widely used in various industries. However, the inherent ability of natural wood to absorb water and other disadvantages require its modification with various compositions. In the work, the technology of impregnation of birch wood with processed vegetable oil, which remains after cooking, has been studied. Impregnated composition was introduced into pre-prepared wood using the “hot-cold baths” method and subsequent heat treatment of wood impregnated with used sunflower oil. The influence of the main quantitative parameters of the impregnation process on the performance of wood specimens have been made using the design of the experiment according to the Greek-Latin square pattern of the fourth order. The influence of the temperature of the impregnating oil, the time of impregnation, temperature and the duration of the heat treatment on the properties of modified wood has been studied. The properties of birch wood has been evaluated by its water absorption, as well as swelling of specimens in the radial and tangential directions. The regression equations have been obtained. They describe the influence of the main parameters of the impregnatio process with processed sunflower oil on the properties of modified wood. The best conditions for introducing processed sunflower oil into wood have been established. The proposed impregnating composition improves decorative properties of wood. It is odorless and environmentally friendly. It has been shown that treating birch wood with processed vegetable oil makes it possible to obtain modified wood with increased resistance to water

The article is devoted to the issues of placing seed production in the conditions of world export of vegetable oils. In 2019, the volume of Russian exports of sunflower oil exceeded 3 million tons for a total of $ 2,2 billion, which is about 30% of the vegetable oil produced in the country. In Russia, the main oilseeds are sunflower, rapeseed, and soy. Less common crops include oilseed flax, ginger, mustard, and safflower. It is stated that in 2001–2019, the acreage of all types of oilseeds in the country increased by more than 2 times, and the gross harvest – by 3,3 times, while the yield increased by 1,4 times.

The aim of this research is to investigate related effect of dyeability to linen textiles related to different printing parameters. The study investigated the change in color characteristics when printing on linen fabrics with an inkjet MIMAKI Tx400-1800D printer with pigmented TP 250 inks. The dependence of color reproduction on linen fabrics on the number of print head passes, number of ink layers to be coated, linen fabric density, and different types of linen fabric was investigated. All this affects the quality of print and its mechanical properties. The change in color characteristics on different types of linen fabrics was determined experimentally. We determine at which print settings the most accurate color reproduction can be achieved on different linen fabrics. The difference between the highest and the lowest possible number of head passages was investigated. The possibilities of reproducing different linen fabric colors were determined.

A type of disc-on-plate test methodology was used to determine the wear behavior of metallic binders employed in the manufacturing of diamond impregnated tools. The disc consists of a special circular wheel that allows the binder materials alone (i.e., without diamond, but sintered under conditions identical to those of the complete tool) to be tested against a plate of stone material under pre-determined testing conditions. The testing conditions are intended to be equivalent to those used in the industrial processes. Using plates of five types of granite and one type of marble, this work comprises wear tests of 15 different types of metallic binders and two sintering modes conducted under, at least, three different values of contact-force. The analysis of the results demonstrated that the wear of the binders can be related to their mechanical properties through an empirical expression. The larger the difference between the characteristics of the tribological pair (binder versus stone), the higher is the correlation between the experimental wear data and the values given by the empirical expression. The relationships presented in this work allow predicting the wear behavior of the binder, and therefore may help in the design process of diamond tools. There was a clear difference between the wear behavior of metallic binders when they were employed against the two main classes of stone under analysis (marble and granite).

Abstract: The theory distinguishes human based on four different personality types such as: sanguine, choleric, melancholic, and phlegmatic. Different types of personality caused by differences in the dominant fluid in the body. These differences will result in terms of behavior, ways of thinking and to get along. The type of this research that is descriptive qualitative which it is describing the logical reasoning based on Hippocrates personality types. The logical reasoning is analyzed through the four types of personality in relation to mathematical problem solving. The Analysis is done based on the logical reasoning indicator/ subindicator and the steps of problem solving stated by Polya. The result shows that there is a reasoning difference on each type of personalities. The difference can be terms of the strenght or the weakness. Sanguine is quicker in understanding problems and communicating results, choleric is more accelerated in work, melancholic is more perfect at work, and  phlegmatic is superior in terms of accuracy. Keywords: Logical reasoning, Hippocrates, sanguine, choleric, melancholic, phlegmatic

In this article, I discuss how insights from Martin Buber’s and Emmanuel Levinas’ philosophies of dialogue have enlightened my own experience of inter-faith dialogue in Norway. Central perspectives here are Buber’s notion of ’the realm of the between’ and Levinas’ emphasis on asymmetry and vulnerability. Some other philosophers’ reasonings about dialogue are also considered, from the overall perspective of ’practice in search of theory’. In connection with a distinction be-tween different types of dialogue (’spiritual’ and ’necessary’), the difference between government initiated ’dialogue’ and initiatives originating from the faith communities (i.e., civil society) are discussed. The last part of the article analyses the notion of ’(mutual) change’ which is often brought forward when discussing the aims of interfaith dialogue. In this connection, religious education in school is also considered as a possible arena for dialogue—and ’change’.
