Abstract Hybrid System method is one of the technology implements in Industrialised Building System (IBS). Methods has been acquaint in many ways in order to improve Industrialised Building System (IBS) in Malaysia. Other country such as United Kingdom also have used the term Hybrid for their concrete process known as Hybrid Concrete Construction (HCC). While in Malaysia, Hybrid System comes with a method that combines one component with two different method which are the precast component and cast-in situ method. This two combination method has called a Hybrid System method and started implements by Jabatan Kerja Raya (JKR) for mostly a government projects in Kedah state in Malaysia on 2017. Industrialised Building System has been well known as a fast completion, saving cost, and less labour needed in construction. However, the issues by using Hybrid System method has double up the time completion, splurging the cost, and enlarge the labour since it needs to cast-in situ the components, let the concrete cured and more material usage. The significance of study for this research is the new method of IBS Hybrid System is a pilot project in Kedah by JKR. Thus, this research is to control the delay involves in projects that apply IBS Hybrid System. Hence, this paper is to identify the advantages of using Hybrid System method in Industrialised Building System (IBS).

The Malaysian government strongly encourage the application of new techniques in building construction such as the Industrialized Building System (IBS). With this new IBS technology, numerous advantages will be obtained and will directly raise the performance of the building. However, the acceptance of IBS in Malaysia is still low. There are many components of IBS. The objective of this paper is to describe the Interlocking Mortarless Blocks System (IMB) and to identify the challenges in the utilization of the mortarless blocks system in housing construction. This research was carried out in Ipoh, Perak, with a focus on housing construction projects. Questionnaire was provided for the respondents to answer. The data was analyzed using the descriptive analysis from the SPSS software. The result revealed that one of the challenges is contractors who tend to use traditional construction method rather than the Interlocking Mortarless Blocks system method. The usage of Interlocking Mortarless Blocks in Malaysian is still low as there is no specific standard on Interlocking Mortarless Blocks system. Therefore, the findings of this research can hopefully assist Malaysian contractors in making a decision on the component to be used in their projects. Additionally, the findings ensure that the government can take appropriate action to encourage the use of IBS, especially the Interlocking Mortarless Blocks

We investigate a system with Poisson arrivals to two queues. One queue stores the status updates of the process of interest (or data packets) and the other handles the energy that is required to deliver the updates to the monitor. We consider that the energy is represented by packets of discrete unit. When an update ends service, it is sent to the energy queue and, if the energy queue has one packet, the update is delivered successfully and the energy packet disappears; however, in case the energy queue is empty, the update is lost. Both queues can handle, at most, one packet and the service time of updates is exponentially distributed. Using the Stochastic Hybrid System method, we characterize the average Age of Information of this system. Due to the difficulty of the derived expression, we also explore approximations of the average Age of Information of this system.

SummaryThis paper describes a “system-building system”, ESSENTIAL-ATTENDING (E-ATTEND-ING), designed to assist in the implementation of expert systems which critique a physician’s plan for patient care. E-ATTENDING has been refined during the implementation of several developmental critiquing systems and may be applied in areas of medical management, patient workup, and differential diagnosis. E-ATTENDING is currently designed to help implement a class of critiquing systems in a subset of possible critiquing domains. It can also be augmented in various ways by interested users to accommodate critiquing domains with more complexity.

The destructive fishing feared will give a negative impact on the survival of this organism. This study aims to analyze the density of bivalves, distribution patterns, and to analyze the relationship of bivalves with environmental parameters in Tanjung Pura village. This research was conducted in March 2019. The systematic random system method was used for collecting data of bivalves. The collecting Data retrieval divided into five research stasions. The results obtained 6 types of bivalves from 3 families and the total is 115 individuals. The highest bivalve density is 4.56 ind / m², and the lowest bivalves are located at station 2,1.56 ind / m²,  The pattern of bivalve distribution in the Coastal of Tanjung Pura Village is grouping. The results of principal component analysis (PCA) showed that Anadara granosa species was positively correlated with TSS r = 0.890, Dosinia contusa, Anomalocardia squamosa, Mererix meretrix, Placamen isabellina, and Tellinella spengleri were positively correlated with currents r = 0.933.

AbstractOpt-in or opt-out? That is the basic question to be answered. The decision to promote actions of “opt-in” type as opposed to those of the “opt-out” type, for the sake of private autonomy, does not ensure the effective application of european competition law. On the contrary, it may decrease the application’s intensity and effectiveness. Recent reforms among European state members such as in the United Kingdom, Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark and Norway are powerful indications that the opt-out principle may result in the effective implementation of competition law. There is no doubt that a mixed system (hybrid system), providing the court with the power to decide in favour of either the opt-in or the opt-out system, will result in better implementation of competition law. At the present time there are two pending cases in England (Dorothy Gibson and Mastercard) for which the decision on opt-out or opt-in are highly anticipated. Should the court decide, in one or both of the cases, on an opt-out approach, this will bring a momentous reevaluation of the entire collective redress concept.
