Abstract Choral singing is a novel approach to reduce dementia stigma and social isolation while offering participants a sense of purpose, joy and social connection. The pervasiveness of stigma surrounding dementia remains one of the biggest barriers to living life with dignity following a diagnosis (Alzheimer Society of Canada, 2018). This paper examines how a social inclusion model of dementia care involving an intergenerational choir for people living with dementia, their care partners and high school students can reduce stigma and foster social connections. Multiple methodologies are used to investigate the effects of choir participation on cognition, stress levels, social connections, stigma, and quality of life. Results demonstrate the positive impact of choir participation and indicate that this socially inclusive intervention offers an effective, non-pharmacological alternative for older adults living with dementia in the community. Discussion focuses on the importance of instituting meaningful and engaging dementia-friendly activities at the community level.

Building and maintaining positive social relationships is important to every young adult’s quality of life. However, supporting the social inclusion of middle and high school students with severe disabilities can be extremely challenging. Moreover, promoting social inclusion in one classroom may have little impact on social outcomes in other classrooms, in the hallway, in the lunchroom, or out in the community. This article provides a practical framework for how professionals and peers can partner to support the social inclusion of students with severe disabilities across environments. In addition, easily accessible descriptions of research-based assessment and intervention strategies along with references to other tools and practitioners’ guides are included.

CSR adalah tanggung jawab sosial perusahaan secara etis sudah seharusnya memberikan dampak positif baik dalam ruang lingkup kepedulian yang mencangkup aspek ekonomi, sosial dan lingkungan di sekitar perusahaan. Hal ini penting berkaitan upaya mewujudkan tujuan pembangunan berkelanjutan baik di dalam perusahaan maupun di masyarakat. Perusahaan Samsung Indonesia mencoba melaksanakan programprogram CSR di berbagai bidang khususnya pada bidang pendididikan, hingga memperoleh ‘Best CSR Award 2016’ yang diberikan oleh kedutaan besar Korea Selatan. Dalam bidang pendidikan, Program CSR Samsung di Indonesia salah satu programnya membangun dan mengembangkan "Rumah Belajar Samsung". Tujuan dari program ini adalah membantu remaja yang terkendala melanjutkan pendidikan dan mengakses pendidikan yang lebih tinggi lagi. Salah satu alasan "Program Rumah Belajar" ini didirikan karena Samsung memandang bahwa anak khususnya remaja merupakan masa depan suatu bangsa, sehingga pendidikan mulai sejak dini memegang peran penting bagi perkembangan dan peningkatan kualitas sumber daya manusia. 'Program Rumah Belajar' membidik para siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas yang berasal dari keluarga dengan kondisi sosialekonomi kurang mampu atau  pra-sejahtera.   CSR is an ethical corporate social responsibility that should have a positive impact both within the scope of concern that covers economic, social and environmental aspects around the company. This is important related to efforts to realize the goals of sustainable development both within t he company and in the community. Samsung Indonesia companies are trying to implement CSR programs in various fields, especially in the field of education, to get the 'Best CSR Award 2016' given by the South Korean embassy. In the field of education, Samsun g's CSR Program in Indonesia is one of the programs to build and develop the "Samsung Learning House" (Rumah Belajar Samsung) . The purpose of this program is to help adolescents who are constrained to continue their education and access higher education. O ne of the reasons for this "Learning House Program" (Rumah Belajar Samsung) was established because Samsung views that children, especially adolescents, are the future of a nation, so that early education plays an important role for the development and imp rovement of the quality of human resources. The 'House of Learning Program' targets high school students who come from families with poor or underprivileged socio - economic conditions.

Taiwan began to implement a new high school syllabus nationwide, in 2019. The Ministry of Education has also established a high school student Academic Portfolio System (APS) to collect the learning process of high school students for future university admissions references. However, during this period, high school students and their parents had many opinions on the implementation of the new system. There were even groups of students protesting. The main purpose of this research is to explore the factors that affect the system usage intentions of high school students. Based on the theory of reasoned action (TRA) and the technology acceptance model (TAM), this research established a research model. The research variables include system interface design, usefulness, ease of use, attitude, subjective norms, and usage intentions. A total of 712 questionnaires were collected from high school students in northern Taiwan. Data analysis is carried out in three stages: descriptive analysis, measurement model verification, and structural equation modeling. The results of the study found that system interface design has a significant impact on the perceived ease of use. Factors such as ease of use, usefulness, attitude, and subjective norms also have a significant positive impact on usage intention; ease of use and usefulness positively affect attitudes toward using. Finally, according to the results, some practical implications were proposed for implementation references from the perspectives of education authority, high schools, teachers, and students.

Although digital multimodal composing (DMC) is receiving increasing attention in language classrooms, the extent to which it contributes to students’ writing practices is controversial. In order to understand the affordances of DMC compared to traditional monomodal writing in school contexts, it is pertinent to compare DMC and traditional writing using academic integrated-skills tasks. The current study aims to investigate the relationship between the quality of Korean high school students’ multimodal composing and that of the same students’ traditional monomodal writing, as well as content and language alignment. Thirty-one Korean high school students carried out a summary-reflection task through DMC and traditional monomodal writing. After reading a short fable by Aesop, students summarized and reflected on the text. While students used only one mode in traditional writing (i.e. English text), they utilized multiple modes in DMC (e.g. pictures, movies). Students’ task outcomes were scored using analytic rubrics, and texts were coded in terms of the content and linguistic features students retrieved from the text (i.e. alignment) and their degree of reflection. The results showed that there were no statistically significant differences in the quality, content and language alignment, or amount of reflection in writing outcomes between students’ DMC and traditional monomodal writing.

<p><strong>OBJECTIVES:</strong> Students attend sedentary life style and less like vigorous physical activity. This study investigated the effects of School-based intervention<strong> </strong>on increasing physical activity for decreasing obesity among high-school obese and overweight boys, based on the components of PRECEDE PROCEED Model, to participate in median - vigorous physical activity among the first Period of high school boys in the city of Urmia, Iran</p><p><strong>METHODS:</strong> This study was an experimental intervention that conducted at 4 high schools that were divided into 2 groups of intervention (40) and the control (40) male students, schools in junior high schools in Urmia.</p><p><strong>RESULTS:</strong> Three and six months after the intervention, significant differences were found between the experimental and control groups of schools, in the amount of students’ participation in vigorous physical activity (p&lt;0.01).</p><p><strong>CONCLUSIONS:</strong> According to the results, the school-based intervention and components of PRECEDE PROCEED Model had a positive impact on the improvement of physical activity and decrease in physical inactivity among the students.</p>

The aim of this research is to determine the correlation between perceived class climate, motivation for achievement and school success among elementary and high school students. The research was conducted on a sample of 400 subjects. The instrument used for class climate survey is an Attitude scale, created as the combination of two instruments for measuring class climate. The MOP/D scale was used to survey motivation for achievement. The obtained results show that the quality of the overall class climate is not high, while the scores on the three dimensions of the class climate indicate that the students perceive Class Cohesion as the most favourable one, then the Teachers? Support and finally the Order and the Organisation. Significant differences in perceptions of class climate were found concerning age. Significant differences in perceptions of climate (both in the overall and in the Teachers? Support dimension) were also found with respect to the gender of the students. The findings indicate low positive correlations between perceived class climate and the motivation for achievement, and also between school success and the motivation for achievement. No correlation was found between the perceived class climate and school success. More detailed research shows that the climate dimensions Teachers? Support and Order and Organisation are significant predictors of the overall motivation for achievement and the Learning dimension, and that they are positively correlated. Learning and Persistence, the dimensions of the motivation for achievement, were found to be significant predictors of school success. A perceived class climate did not prove to be a significant predictor of school success, except for the Class Cohesion dimension, only on the subsample of high school students.

This study aimed to determine whether there are any correlation between emotional intelligence and the quality of friendship relations in adolescence. The initial presumption put forward in this study is there is a positive correlation between emotional intelligence and the quality of friendship relations in adolescence. This study tooks 162 high school students aged 15-17 years. Two scales used in this study are Emotional Intelligence Scale and Friendship Relations Quality. Data analysis method used in this study is Pearson product moment correlation analysis using computer program SPSS. The result indicate r = 0,532 and p = 0.000 or p < 0.01. This result shows that the initial presumption of this study is accepted, which means there is a positive correlation between emotional intelligence and the quality of friendship relations in adolescence with social skills as the most influential aspect to the quality of friendship relations.
