A new generation of machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) creative tools are now at the disposal of musicians, professionals and amateurs alike. These new technical intermediaries allow the production of unprecedented forms of compositions, from generating new works by mimicking a style or by mixing a curated ensemble of musical works to letting an algorithm complete one’s own creation in unexpected directions or by letting an artist interact with the parameters of a neural network to explore fresh musical avenues. Unsurprisingly, this new spectrum of algorithmic compositions question both the nature and the degree of involvement of the creator in the musical work. As a consequence, the issue of authorship and, in particular, the assessment of the specific contribution of a (human) creator through the algorithmic pipeline may require special scrutiny when AI and ML tools are used to produce musical works.

Recently, such a direction of machine learning as reinforcement learning has been actively developing. As a consequence, attempts are being made to use reinforcement learning for solving computer vision problems, in particular for solving the problem of image classification. The tasks of computer vision are currently one of the most urgent tasks of artificial intelligence. The article proposes a method for image classification in the form of a deep neural network using reinforcement learning. The idea of the developed method comes down to solving the problem of a contextual multi-armed bandit using various strategies for achieving a compromise between exploitation and research and reinforcement learning algorithms. Strategies such as -greedy, -softmax, -decay-softmax, and the UCB1 method, and reinforcement learning algorithms such as DQN, REINFORCE, and A2C are considered. The analysis of the influence of various parameters on the efficiency of the method is carried out, and options for further development of the method are proposed.

One of the most important actors in the digitization process of our age has been the applications of artificial intelligence (AI). While the weak and strong AI sub-concepts and the different AI models within them are being utilized in many fields such as education, industry and medicine today, the interest of the dentistry field, which has started its integration into the digital world with CAD/CAM technology, in AI is increasing day by day. In different branches of dentistry; AI provides services to clinicians and researchers in many fields such as disease diagnosis, evaluation of the occurrence or recurrence of diseases such as oral cancer, and prediction of success in surgical and prosthetic treatments. In this article, studies in which AI models such as machine learning, convolutional neural network have found research and usage areas on the basis of different branches of dentistry are reviewed.

The field of artificial intelligence has experienced a dramatic methodological shift towards large neural networks trained on plentiful data. This shift has been fueled by recent advances in hardware and techniques enabling remarkable levels of computation, resulting in impressive advances in AI across many applications. However, the massive computation required to obtain these exciting results is costly both financially, due to the price of specialized hardware and electricity or cloud compute time, and to the environment, as a result of non-renewable energy used to fuel modern tensor processing hardware. In a paper published this year at ACL, we brought this issue to the attention of NLP researchers by quantifying the approximate financial and environmental costs of training and tuning neural network models for NLP (Strubell, Ganesh, and McCallum 2019). In this extended abstract, we briefly summarize our findings in NLP, incorporating updated estimates and broader information from recent related publications, and provide actionable recommendations to reduce costs and improve equity in the machine learning and artificial intelligence community.

This project considers the operational impact of Autonomous Vehicles by creating a corridor using the latest network available. The behaviour of these vehicles entering the corridor is monitored at the macroscopic level by modifying the data which can be extracted from the vehicle. This data is made to learn using machine learning called the Time Series Neural Network and the data is used as a parameter to make the vehicles Autonomous. The project resolves the location, develops and demonstrates the collision avoidance of the vehicles using Artificial Intelligence. Autonomous means the vehicles will be able to learn to act accordingly without human intervention

This chapter first provides an overview with examples of what neural networks (NN), machine learning (ML), and artificial intelligence (AI) are and their applications in biomedical and business situations. The characteristics of 29 types of neural networks are provided including their distinctive graphical illustrations. A survey of current open-source software (OSS) for neural networks, neural network software available for free trail download for limited time use, and open-source software (OSS) for machine learning (ML) are provided. Characteristics of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies for machine learning available as open source are discussed. Illustrations of applications of neural networks, machine learning, and artificial intelligence are presented as used in the daily operations of a large internationally-based software company for optimal configuration of their Helix Data Capacity system.

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is growing faster than ever before. Autism detection is costly and time intensive with screening procedures. Autism can be detected at an early stage by the development of artificial intelligence and machine learning (ML). While a number of experiments using many approaches were conducted, these studies provided no conclusion as to the prediction of autism characteristics in various age groups. This chapter is therefore intended to suggest an accurate MLASD predictive model based on the ML methodology to prevent ASD for people of all ages. It is a method for prediction. This survey was conducted to develop and assess ASD prediction in an artificial neural network (ANN). AQ-10 data collection was used to test the proposed pattern. The findings of the evaluation reveal that the proposed prediction model has improved results in terms of consistency, specificity, sensitivity, and dataset accuracy.
