SMPIT Madani is a school formed by amil zakat self-supporting institution ummah Riau by using theconcept of free school. SMP IT stands in 2011 with a total of 20 students. Over time, the currentnumber of junior Madani IT students amounted to 75 students. The average students who attendjunior high school IT is the students who come from poor families.SMP IT Madani has received School Operational Assistance (BOS) a few years back. The BOSprogram uses a different approach than Special Assistance for Students (BKM) ie BOS funds are notgiven to poor students but are provided to schools and managed by schools. The mechanism forcalculating BOS funds is based on the number of students in each school. So the goal of this BOScan be achieved is to free the cost of education for poor students or not able and can alleviate forother students so they can get 9 years basic education services. The obligations of schools receiving BOS programs should report the realization of the use of theprogram to the government. Currently schools are having difficulties to make reporting realizationof BOS program to government and foundation. This article examines the arguments for and against charging for occupational therapy fieldwork education. Managers see advantages in separating the cost of education from service costs, but evidence from a study into the costs and benefits of student placements, undertaken by the Department of Occupational Therapy at the University College of Ripon & York St John in collaboration with the Yorkshire Regional Health Authority, highlights some of the disadvantages. A major finding of this study is that students bring both direct and indirect benefits to the service unit in which they are placed.

Abstract: The American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) partnered with CVS Health to develop a Minority Scholarship for Pharmacy Students. The collaboration reflected an alignment of goals by the two organizations to promote diversity and support minority students and pharmacists who will care for an increasingly diverse population of patients. The scholarship was created with the recognition that minority students often face additional challenges associated with the cost of education and that diversity in the classroom can have a positive impact on educational and patient-care outcomes. The high number of applications received for a limited number of scholarships per year suggests that there is significant need in the minority community and more needs to be done.

Improvement of publicly funded education has long been part of governments’ more pressing mandates. With globalisation and recent economic issues, the pressure has intensified. This article canvasses the different legislative tactics employed in England to improve education delivery while reducing its cost. Two methods have been used in particular, control and cajole: successive governments have adopted a strategy of controlling the cost of education and cajoling teachers to improve student achievement. Similar sequences of events arising in both England and Canada are examined in order to highlight the distinct new course taken by the former in 2010. This paper presents examples of legislative management of education at a time when governments around the world are facing significant demands to reduce public expenditure while simultaneously increasing student achievement (as a way of preparing for the future).

Zakat in Islam is a cleansing of wealth by setting aside some of it and then being distributed to mustahik. Zakat management becomes important thing to do in Indonesia because the majority of population in Indonesia is Muslim. One of zakat management institutions in Indonesia is Badan Amil Zakat Nasional (BAZNAS) Semarang. Zakat distribution from muzaki to mustahik in BAZNAS Semarang is distributed by utilization program, such as the Semarang Cerdas programs that focus on the distribution of funds in the field of education. One of Semarang Cerdas program provides educational assistance for orphans, du'afa and disadvantaged students that aim to alleviate the cost of education. The problem encountered is that the election of mustahik is still being done manually. This method often leads to miscalculations that result in less accurate of mustahik election. There are five criterias in determining mustahik; the status of children, family income, family responsibilities, house index, and ownership of property. The use of simple additive weighting method was chosen because this method is able to select the best alternative by calculating and considering the weight value of each criterion, and then proceed to determine the process of ranking the mustahik based on the amount of available fund. The test results showed that the accuracy of the new system with the old system of BAZNAS Semarang is 81%, so it could be concluded that this zakat recipient decission support system is able to process the mustahik election quickly and efficiently.
