Many researchers have considered comics as an excellent educational resource, pointing out to its advantages and its great educational potential. As a result, few authors have investigated the attitudes of students towards comics and they are rarely used as a teaching material in Benin in the learning of foreign languages. In this study, we aim to examine the attitudes of Beninese students of Spanish as a Foreign Language towards comic, as well as offer a reflection on some of the possibilities that can bring this teaching resource. In doing this, we analyze data from 25 participants which was obtained from a questionnaire, interviews, and tasks around the comic. Conclusions show that: (a) most participants showed a positive attitude towards comics and are highly motivated; (b) the use of comics contributed to improving their linguistic and intercultural communicative competences, as well as revitalized the learning of the target language. Finally, the paper concludes by pointing out the study’s implications and limitations, and offering suggestions for future research opportunities.

The article describes the project structure of an electronic educational resource in Russian as a foreign language which is based on a system of social interaction including a component of virtual simulation of the Russian language environment. The relevance of the study arises from modern trends in the development of communicative language learning and computer technology that provides the need to study and develop new efficient approaches improving the theory and practice of distance learning of Russian as a foreign language. The purpose of the study is to make a theoretical research on drawing up the structure of an electronic educational resource in Russian as a foreign language with the use of a virtual simulator of the Russian language environment as its component. The main methods are observation of modern trends in the development of electronic resources, analysis of research literature, generalization of the authors' empirical experience in the development of prototypes of learning systems based on the technology of virtual worlds and educational and game applications in the Russian language. The research materials are the works of Russian and foreign researchers devoted to the use of virtual reality technology in language learning. In the course of the study, the modern trends in the development of electronic resources were analyzed, and on this basis the basic principles and practical approaches to the formation of an electronic language environment were identified. The study resulted in theoretical and practical provisions considering an electronic educational resource in Russian as a foreign language as a living and self-developing virtual ecosystem. The results can be used to create a communication-oriented electronic educational resource on Russian as a foreign language.

Assessing foreign language learning has been considered an indispensable part of language learning process for a long time, especially for the last two decades. Therefore, there is a growing need for language teachers to be more competent in the area of language testing. Keeping in mind that teacher assessment literacy is a key factor in the success of teaching, this study investigates assessment literacy levels of foreign language teachers, and also it seeks to find out whether year of experience and post-graduate education make any difference in language teachers' assessment literacy. Data were collected from in-service teachers, both working for ministry of education and universities by using "assessment literacy inventory". The results indicate that these foreign language teachers have a very low level of assessment literacy. Besides, contrary to other studies, year of experience and post-graduate studies do not really add on teachers' assessment literacies.

Specialized documentation envisioned from a pedagogical bases to train scientifically and technologically teachers and researchers, who initiate themselves in the analysis of high energy physics (HEP) experiments, is scarce. The lack of this material makes that young scientists' learning process be prolonged in time, raising costs in experimental research. In this paper we present the Monte Carlo technique applied to simulate the threshold energy for producing final-state particles of a specific two-body process (A + B → C + D), as pedagogical environment to face both computationally and conceptually an experimental analysis. The active/interactive learning-teaching formative process presented here is expected to be an educational resource for reducing young scientists' learning curve and saving time and costs in HEP scientific research.

Abstract: Test of Arabic  as a Foreign Language (TOAFL) is new standard of Arabic which is used by Indonesian religion ministry to measure the skill of Arabic students. TOAFL is also used by some Islamic State Universities in Indonesia in selecting the new students such as post graduate students. TOAFL is similar to TOEFL which consists of three section parts. Those are 1st Listening (Istima’), 2nd Grammar (Qowa’id), and 3rd Reading (Qiro’ah). The goal of this article are 1st to know the first history of TOAFL, 2nd to know the TOAFL test type, and 3rd to give specific recommendation for Indonesian religion ministry. Keywords: TOAFL, Islamic State Universities, Indonesian Religion Ministry
