AbstractAn object-oriented medical database management system is presented for a typical cardiologic center, facilitating epidemiological trials. Object-oriented analysis and design were used for the system design, offering advantages for the integrity and extendibility of medical information systems. The system was developed using object-oriented design and programming methodology, the C++ language and the Borland Paradox Relational Data Base Management System on an MS-Windows NT environment. Particular attention was paid to system compatibility, portability, the ease of use, and the suitable design of the patient record so as to support the decisions of medical personnel in cardiovascular centers. The system was designed to accept complex, heterogeneous, distributed data in various formats and from different kinds of examinations such as Holter, Doppler and electrocardiography.

Range chicken as well as extensive maintenance, ownership on average 2-5 chicken each household group.  To increase the productivity of cattle, the team provides counseling, coaching, training and mentoring as well as providing some main of facilities such as cattle shed, biogas digester, planting banana. Results are expected in the presence of  activities is the avaibility of green forage mainly during the dry season, so that the cattle population will increase, the biogas as a fuel  alternative to kerosin and LPG gas, liquid and solid fertilizer from biogas by-product process, the increasing population of chicken qualified (meat and eggs as well as the day old chick).  Besides the problem of production is also done on the farm management. The activities is expected that will increase the incomes of farmers further improve the welfare of Maros regency. For the sustainability of the program it is necessary supervision and guidance are routinely performed by the related department along with the college.

Nowadays, it is particularly important to improve the level of backup devices management for enterprises, because a reasonable management mechanism would ensure a business operation normally. The paper presents a backup device management system in detail, including requirements analysis, architectural design, function modules and implementation mechanism, which provides basis for systems implementation and application. The system we designed can manage backup devices dynamically, which gives support to the improvement and maintenance, and also provides more convenience for users.

Massey University assumed management responsibility for "Riverside", a 723 ha sheep and beef cattle farm 8 km north of Masterton in Master-ton in March 1978. The farm is leased to the University under the terms of the will of the late Mr Sydney Campbell to assist in the accumulation, expansion and dissemination of knowledge about agriculture, with particular emphasis on agriculture in the Wairarapa. A lo-year farm development programme instigated in 1978 resulted in the sale of the beef herd and the winter stocking rate of sheep being increased to 15.1 suiha by 1984 (9.7 sulha in 1978). In 1985 stocking rates were sharply reduced following a severe drought and the current mixed 2-year bull beef and breeding ewe policy was introduced. Recent research has focused on drought-tolerant pasture species. In late 1992 sheep and beef cattle farmers (n=lOO) were surveyed to identify local information needs and how Riverside could continue to serve the region's research and extension requirements. Information related to fertilisers and farm management were most frequently rated as the most imporant current needs. Keywords: extension, research, Riverside, teaching, Wairarapa

Human resources (HR) in the college environment consisting of lecturers and support staff have a very strategic position, because it has a direct impact on the learning process, the quality of graduates and the competitive output pattern. Effectiveness of performance in teaching and learning and improved academic atmosphere is strongly influenced by the standardization of quality to be achieved and the quality assurance process that should be done by a university either in the field of human resources (HR). Condition that must be met in order for the application of quality assurance system in a college human resources can be successfully implemented is the availability of accurate database that can be used in any decision-making. It is necessary to develop human resources information system of quality assurance in higher education environments. Human resource quality assurance information system can serve to make it easier for universities in implementing quality assurance, so that the quality assurance process can be run through the connected stages and supported by the data base (database), management information systems, and integrated decision support system. The stage that is done in designing information systems include requirements analysis, design process models, software requirements analysis, and design.
