This study aims to determine whether the understanding of Risk Based Internal Audit, Whistleblowing System, anti-fraud awareness, and the application of the principles of Good Corporate Governance affect the prevention of fraud in Rural Credit Banks in Bali Province. This study uses primary data sources, using instruments in the form of questionnaires. The population used in this study were auditor internal and bord of directors from 134 Rural Credit Banks and the sample used was auditor internal from 57 Rural Credit Banks taken purposive sampling. The analytical method used is quantitative analysis that is multiple linear analysis using SPSS test equipment. t test results show that Risk Based  Internal Audit, Whistleblowing System, Anti-Fraud awareness, and the application of the principles of Good Corporate Governance each have a positive effect on Fraud prevention

Purpose High-speed videoendoscopy (HSV) is an emerging, but barely used, endoscopy technique in the clinic to assess and diagnose voice disorders because of the lack of dedicated software to analyze the data. HSV allows to quantify the vocal fold oscillations by segmenting the glottal area. This challenging task has been tackled by various studies; however, the proposed approaches are mostly limited and not suitable for daily clinical routine. Method We developed a user-friendly software in C# that allows the editing, motion correction, segmentation, and quantitative analysis of HSV data. We further provide pretrained deep neural networks for fully automatic glottis segmentation. Results We freely provide our software Glottis Analysis Tools (GAT). Using GAT, we provide a general threshold-based region growing platform that enables the user to analyze data from various sources, such as in vivo recordings, ex vivo recordings, and high-speed footage of artificial vocal folds. Additionally, especially for in vivo recordings, we provide three robust neural networks at various speed and quality settings to allow a fully automatic glottis segmentation needed for application by untrained personnel. GAT further evaluates video and audio data in parallel and is able to extract various features from the video data, among others the glottal area waveform, that is, the changing glottal area over time. In total, GAT provides 79 unique quantitative analysis parameters for video- and audio-based signals. Many of these parameters have already been shown to reflect voice disorders, highlighting the clinical importance and usefulness of the GAT software. Conclusion GAT is a unique tool to process HSV and audio data to determine quantitative, clinically relevant parameters for research, diagnosis, and treatment of laryngeal disorders. AbstractState-of-the-art methods of analysis of video data now include motion capture and optical flow from video recordings. These techniques allow for biological differentiation between visual communication and noncommunicative motion, enabling further inquiry into neural bases of communication. The requirements for additional noninvasive methods of data collection and automatic analysis of natural gesture and sign language are discussed.

Abstract. We present a series of detailed experimental observations of saline and turbidity currents flowing in a straight channel. Experiments are performed by continuously feeding the channel with a dense mixture until a quasi-steady configuration is obtained. The flume, 12 m long, is characterized by a concrete fixed bed with a uniform slope of 0.005. Longitudinal velocity profiles are measured in ten cross sections, 1 m apart, employing an ultrasound Doppler velocity profiler. We also measure the density of the mixture using a rake of siphons sampling at different heights from the bottom in order to obtain the vertical density distributions in a cross section where the flow already attained a quasi-uniform configuration. We performed 27 experiments changing the flow discharge, the fractional excess density, the character of the current (saline or turbidity) and the roughness of the bed in order to observe the consequences of these variations on the vertical velocity profiles and on the overall characteristics of the flow. Dimensionless velocity profiles under quasi-uniform flow conditions were obtained by scaling longitudinal velocity with its depth averaged value and the vertical coordinate with the flow thickness. They turned out to be influenced by the Reynolds number of the flow, by the relative bed roughness, and by the presence of sediment in suspension. Unexpectedly, the densimetric Froude number of the current turned out to have no influence on the dimensionless velocity profiles.

AbstractEducational research into instructional quality would benefit from macro- and meso-level instructional data – such as achievement data or large-scale student surveys – in relation to data from the micro level – such as detailed analyses of classroom practices. Several scholars have specifically asked for studies that correlate achievement data with records of learning processes and teaching strategies, and ongoing projects attempting to do so have shown promising results. Linking different data sources on instructional quality is quite demanding because it requires a concerted effort by researchers from different fields of expertise and different traditions. A main ambition of our ongoing research project is precisely to advance such integration. As the title of the project reveals, we are dedicated to Linking Instruction and Student Achievement (LISA). In this article, we start by providing a theoretical background and status of knowledge related to instructional quality. We go on to argue that video data has shown particular promise in studies aiming to obtain systematic data from a range of classrooms in order to compare classroom practices. We then present the three components of the LISA project’s design – student perception surveys, systematic classroom observation, and achievement gains in national tests – and the value of combining these three data sources. En hovedambisjon i vårt pågående forskningsprosjekt er nettopp å få til en slik integrasjon. Som tittelen avslører, er vi dedikert til «Linking Instruction and Student Achievement (LISA)». I denne artikkelen presenterer vi det teoretiske og empiriske grunnlaget knyttet til undervisningskvalitet. Videre argumenterer vi for verdien av videodata i studier som sammenligner undervisningspraksiser fra ulike klasserom på en systematisk måte. Deretter presenterer vi de tre datakildene i LISA-prosjektets forskningsdesign – spørreskjemaer til elever om deres oppfatninger om lærerens undervisning, systematiske klasseromsobservasjoner, og målt fremgang på nasjonale prøver i lesing og regning. Verdien av å kombinere nettopp disse tre datakildene vil også bli diskutert.
