The thermal environment is one of the main factors that influence thermal comfort and, consequently, the productivity of occupants inside buildings. Throughout the years, research has described the connection between thermal comfort and productivity. Mathematical models have been established in the attempt to predict changes in productivity according to thermal variations in the environment. Some of these models have failed for a number of reasons, including the understanding of the effect that several environment variables have had on performance. From this context, a systematic literature review was carried out with the aim of verifying the connection between thermal comfort and productivity and the combinations of different thermal and personal factors that can have an effect on productivity. A hundred and twenty-eight articles were found which show a connection between productivity and some thermal comfort variables. By means of specific inclusion and exclusion criteria, 60 articles were selected for a final analysis. The main conclusions found in this study were: (i) the vast majority of research uses subjective measures and/or a combination of methods to evaluate productivity; (ii) performance/productivity can be attained within an ampler temperature range; (iii) few studies present ways of calculating productivity.

Aim:The objective of this article is to identify and analyze what is known about characteristics in and around the home that support well-being for those with cognitive impairment. This could provide direction for designers of homes in general, but specifically for designers trying to meet the needs of people with cognitive impairment. Background:It has been established that there is a relationship between psychological well-being and a person’s environment. Research also shows that particular design aspects can reduce the impact of cognitive impairment. However, there is limited design expertise in the Australian housing market to create supportive spaces which will help to reduce the impact of the disability for those with cognitive impairment.Method:A literature review was carried out to determine the extent and details of what is known about the relationship of home design and its impact on emotional, psychological, or social well-being for people with cognitive impairment. Conclusions:The study indicates that researchers in various disciplines understand that pragmatic design inputs such as thermal comfort and adequate lighting are important for people with cognitive impairment. In addition, some researchers have shown or surmise that there are other “intangible” designer-controlled elements that have beneficial impacts on people with cognitive impairment. Details of these intangible elements are sparse, and how much they might improve the quality of life for a person with cognitive impairment is not well understood. Further research is required to meet a growing need.

ABSTRACT Objectives: to describe health care practices aimed at lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transvestites, and transsexuals. Methods: an integrative literature review based on systematic steps, in MEDLINE, LILACS AND SciELO databases and/or electronic libraries. It was held from September to November 2018, with articles published between 2012 and 2017, available in full in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, addressing health care to that population group. Results: fourteen articles were included. Most of the articles were about the trajectory of individuals within health services and showed limitations and obstacles in the use of these services. Final Considerations: there is evidence that factors related to organization of services, attitude of professionals, stigma, and discrimination experienced undermine health care practices. Therefore, it is essential to carry out educational activities in health services and educational institutions.

Abstract This review aimed to systematize the studies on sexting and gender violence published between 2000 and 2016 in national and international journals. The search was performed in the databases - BVS-Psi, Psychlit, Medline, LILACS, and Oasis. We found 383 articles. After applying the exclusion criteria, 21 articles were analyzed. The results showed that sexting is not an a priori risk factor. The risk is related to variables such as the content of the messages, when it expresses violence, and age of the practitioners, indicating that the younger the age the greater the risk. It has been found that there are modalities related to gender violence, such as revenge pornography and slut-shaming, but these contents are not inherent to sexting.

Purpose This literature review identifies instruments for diagnostic assessment of cognitive impairment in prison populations. The purpose of this paper is to promote procedures for early screening and identification of cognitive impairment using instruments appropriate to prisons. Design/methodology/approach A targeted literature review identified studies on screening and diagnostic assessment of adults in jails, prisons, police watch-houses (custody suites), rehabilitation facilities and forensic settings or community settings for offenders. Discriminant validity, suitability, reliability and feasibility of instruments in correctional and forensic settings are presented. Findings From 135 peer-reviewed articles relating to diagnostic assessment of cognitive impairment, 15 instruments were considered appropriate for use in prison settings. Research limitations/implications Selection of instruments for prison use considers suitability of the instrument(s) and clinical workforce capability. Cultural and gender validity of the instrument, its feasibility for use in the prison environment and cost and time to administer are also important. Using appropriate tools as part of a staged and targeted process in the screening and diagnosis of cognitive impairment is demonstrated by two case vignettes presented in this paper. As this was a desk review, the authors did not evaluate the instruments. Originality/value Identification of instruments that are suitable for diagnosis of cognitive impairment in forensic populations informs the rehabilitation of offenders with cognitive impairment in prison and upon release to probation and parole.

Digital storytelling in childhood sexuality education: possibilities and limitations AbstractThe stories are present in kindergarten and contribute to the construction of the child, his/her sensibilities and subjectivities. The digital narratives that enable relationships between stories and digital technologies, can contribute to the integration of digital technologies in schools and to the rise of new proposals on sex education. We aim to reflect on this feature as a learning possibility to the problematization of gender and sexuality with children. Therefore, we present some reflections about stories and narratives, as well as a literature review, resulting from a bibliographical research methodology to databases of Education, on the use of digital storytelling in educational contexts as well as in sex education, specifically sexuality and gender. We also reflect about the limits and possibilities of storytelling in sex education and present a learning scenario that clarifies and concretizes the proposition of digital storytelling in these themes. We understand the importance of the search for new educational proposals for children’s sex education, including the contributions of digital technologies in the process. Keywords: Sexuality. Computers and education. This research examines the perception of customers towards sex appeal advertising. Effect of sex appeal advertising has to be measure in terms of ABC model of attitude, which are affective, behavioural and cognitive. Through the sex appeal advertising, cultural values, lifestyle and behaviours can be affected. Acceptance of nudity among different gender and religious had been investigated in Malaysia market. Research findings show that Chinese are more likely to accept mild sex-appeal advertising while Muslims could not accept it. Women perceive sex appeal more negatively than men, yet react quite positively towards sex appeal advertisements that is linked with the product itself. Other than that, high nudity levels in advertisements was not well received. Further analyses on the acceptance of sex appeal ads in Western countries compared to Asian countries where there’re major difference identified in terms of religion constraints and gender issue. Findings signify Malaysians are more conservative in terms of sex appeal advertising compared to the Westerns whereas females tend to be more sensitive towards sex appeal advertisements rather than males.
