Perancangan Pendidikan Untuk Pembangunan Sumber Manusia dalam Era Globalisasi dan K-Ekonomi

Terdapat pelbagai tafsiran tentang konsep globalisasi dan k–ekonomi berdasarkan perspektif yang berbeza. Masyarakat Malaysia seharusnya dapat meneliti impak globalisasi dan k–ekonomi secara kritis supaya dapat menanganinya. Ini kerana masyarakat Malaysia terpaksa terus berdepan dengan cabaran baru yang dibawa oleh globalisasi dan k-ekonomi. Kemajuan dalam bidang teknologi maklumat dan komunikasi (Information and Communication Technology) akan terus menjana proses globalisasi ini. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk meninjau perancangan pendidikan ke arah pembangunan sumber manusia dalam menghadapi arus globalisasi dan k–ekonomi di Malaysia. Hasil kajian mendapati bahawa pendidikan dan perancangan pendidikan akan terus memainkan peranan utama bagi menyediakan sumber manusia untuk bersaing di peringkat global. Malaysians need to examine the impact of globalisation and k–economy so that they can provide input on how to face the challenges of globalisation and k–economy. The advancement of Information and Communication Technology will expediate the process of globalisation. The purpose of this article is to review the impact of educational planning on human resource development in facing the challenges of globalisation and k–economy. The results show that educational planning will continue to play a critical role in providing human resource for Malaysia to compete the global arena. Information and Communication Technology (ICT) stresses the role of unified communication and integration of telecommunications, intelligent building management systems and audio-visual systems in modern information technology. In the information age, using information is a prime issue. ICT includes of all technical means that are used to handle information and aid communication. It includes computer and network hardware, middleware and necessary software. Time accessibility of relevant information is vital for economic development of any country. The improvement of economic activity can be brought by improving capacity in terms of enhancing access to information, while also the technical nature of economic activities required that the knowledge of users are constantly updated which can be achieved through their enhanced information seeking behavior by the use of ICTs. Moreover, use of ICTs lead to innovation which further lead to the enhancement of economic growth and human resource development. Thus, the present paper highlights the role of information technology on economic development of the country as a whole. A period of fifteen years is considered for the study Information and Communication Technology index and Economic Development index has been constructed on the basis of Principal Component Analysis. A simple linear regression has also been conducted to examine the impact of ICT on Economic Development in India. Stationarity of the data set are also checked with the help of appropriate unit root testing technique such as Augmented-Dickey Fuller test. The result shows that there has been considerable impact of ICT on Economic Development in India. Policy suggestions are also given on the basis of the findings of the study

This paper studies whether and how information and communication technology (ICT) changes self-construal and cultural values in a developing country. Ethiopian children were given laptops in the context of an ICT for development scheme. We compared children who used laptops (n = 69) with a control group without laptops (n = 76) and a second control group of children whose laptop had broken down (n = 24). Results confirmed that after 1 year of laptop usage, the children’s self-concept had become more independent and children endorsed individualist values more strongly. Interestingly, the impact of laptop usage on cultural values was mediated by self-construal (moderated mediation). Importantly, modernization did not “crowd out” traditional culture: ICT usage was not associated with a reduction in traditional expressions (interdependent self-construal, collectivist values). Theoretical and practical implications are discussed.

In order to promote utilizing the available resource made in any library information has to be taken to the door step of a clientele a such information and communication technology will serve as a catalyst in doing that. This paper has explored the role of information and communication technology ICT in academia and as well as the strategies used in propagating the available services in an academic library this is because tailor made information it is highly required so as to avoid wasting the precious time of academicians and this can be only achieving with the help of information and communication technology software, therefore, descriptive method was adopted in the methodology of this study.

The impact of Globalization creates a competitive horizon with new markets, new products, new mindsets, new competencies, and new ways of thinking about business. As an outcome of this, the market places become more complex, uncertain, competitive, and transformational. In this era, the major challenge faced by any organization is to maintain a peaceful as well positive culture and climate inside the organization. The human resource development climate of an organization plays a significant role in ensuring the competency, motivation, and development of its employees. Here the term climate denotes the quality of the internal environment. It influences morale and the attitudes of the individual toward his work and his environment. Culture refers to the deep structure of organizations, which is rooted in the values, beliefs, and assumptions held by organizational members. The study was aimed to analyze the Human Resource Development culture and climate of chemical-based public sector enterprises in Kerala. The results indicated that the Human Resource Development climate in an organization is average and the perception of employees regarding Human Resource Development culture and climate does not differs significantly based on age, job approval status, and qualification. But it differs significantly based on gender and experiences.

<p>Market performance is important to the company's development. This study examines the determinant factors of market performance through information and communication technology (ICT). The probability and simple random sampling methods were used to determine the sample. Furthermore, the research instrument was the questionnaire distributed personally to the respondents. The results show that the market performance of used car showroom MSMEs in the Malang was determined both directly and indirectly by information quality, eReadiness, use of ICTs, and market orientation, which is more dominant. The use of ICTs and market orientation fully and partially mediates the information quality and eReadiness on market performance, respectively.</p>

Globalization is the increasing interaction of peoples, states or countries through the growth of the global trade, international flow of capital, ideas and culture. The paper discusses how privatization of public corporations and invention of information and communication technology (ICT) lead to the retrenchment and casualization of public servant. The aim of this study is to examines the impact of globalization on the public servant in Nigeria. The methodology involves the use of secondary data, through a systematic literature review which entails the document analysis of related matters. The findings reveal that globalization infringes on the right of a public servant by making them vulnerable without job security. The paper concludes that government must stop unfair labor practice such as retrenchment and casualization of workers, and improve good working conditions to make public servant more productive.
