Efficient Feedrate Optimization Method for Spline Toolpath With Curvature-Base Planning and Accurate Interpolating

The well-designed feedrate optimization algorithm can obtain higher machining efficiency with various machining related constraints, thus, it is widely considered in the high-speed and high-precision machining. However, the low computational efficiency still limits the application of the optimization method. For the non-linear optimization problem of spline toolpath with feedrate-, actuator velocity-, acceleration- and jerk-limited, a linear approximation is adopted by a pseudo-jerk method and the efficient linear programming method can be applied to solve the optimization problem. To improve computational efficiency further, curvature-base window technique is presented and the whole spline toolpath is split at the curvature extreme points, which are also named critical points in traditional planning method. Thereafter, a novel feedback interpolation is presented based on Steffensen iterative accelerator method to eliminate the feedrate fluctuation caused by nonanalytic relationship of spline parameter and arc-length. Finally, simulations and experiments validations show that the proposed method is able to reduce computational burden and traversal time notably with multi-constraints.

The present work focuses on the aerodynamic problems resulting from a high-speed train (HST) passing through a tunnel. Numerical simulations were employed to obtain the numerical results, and they were verified by a moving-model test. Two responses, [Formula: see text] (coefficient of the peak-to-peak pressure of a single fluctuation) and[Formula: see text] (pressure value of micro-pressure wave), were studied with regard to the three building parameters of the portal-hat buffer structure of the tunnel entrance and exit. The MOPSO (multi-objective particle swarm optimization) method was employed to solve the optimization problem in order to find the minimum [Formula: see text] and[Formula: see text]. Results showed that the effects of the three design parameters on [Formula: see text] were not monotonous, and the influences of[Formula: see text] (the oblique angle of the portal) and [Formula: see text] (the height of the hat structure) were more significant than that of[Formula: see text] (the angle between the vertical line of the portal and the hat). Monotonically decreasing responses were found in [Formula: see text] for [Formula: see text] and[Formula: see text]. The Pareto front of [Formula: see text] and[Formula: see text]was obtained. The ideal single-objective optimums for each response located at the ends of the Pareto front had values of 1.0560 for [Formula: see text] and 101.8 Pa for[Formula: see text].

Because the relation between the arc length s and curve parameter u cannot be represented by explicit function for most of the curves, it is difficult to consider the accuracy, robustness, and computational efficiency for most of the parametric interpolation, especially when the curves are complex or extremes. Therefore, an off-line fitting interpolation method by using nonuniform rational basis spline is presented in this paper. As nonuniform rational basis spline has many geometry implementation tools and numerous good properties as compared to the polynomial, the required fitting accuracy can be obtained more easily than with polynomial. After the de Boor method is applied, the computational load of nonuniform rational basis spline is decreased as compared to the Taylor approximation and the higher order polynomial fitting method. In order to obtain the proper s-u fitting nonuniform rational basis spline and reduce the computational load of the fitting process, the sampled s-u data points are divided according to the properties of nonuniform rational basis spline, and in each segment, the knot vectors, control points, and weights are calculated by the iterative-optimization method. Then the s-u nonuniform rational basis spline can be applied in real-time interpolation, and the accuracy, robustness, and computational efficiency are demonstrated by simulations and experiments.

We consider the sensor networks hierarchical optimization problem in high-speed railway transport hub (HRTH). The sensor networks are optimized from three hierarchies which are key area sensors optimization, passenger line sensors optimization, and whole area sensors optimization. Case study on a specific HRTH in China showed that the hierarchical optimization method is effective to optimize the sensor networks for security monitoring in HRTH.

In recent years, the teleoperation of robots has become widespread in practical use. However, in some current modes of robot operation, such as leader-follower control, the operator must use visual information to recognize the physical deviation between him/herself and the robot, and correct the operation instructions sequentially, which limits movement speed and places a heavy burden on the operator. In this study, we propose a leader-follower control parameter optimization method for the feedforward correction necessitated by deviations in the link length between the robot and the operator. To optimize the parameters, we used the Digital Annealer developed by Fujitsu Ltd., which can solve the combinatorial optimization problem at high speed. The main objective was to minimize the difference between the hand coordinates target and the actual hand position of the robot. In simulations, the proposed method decreased the difference between the hand position of the robot and the target. Moreover, this method enables optimum operation, in part by eliminating the need for the operator to maintain an unreasonable posture, as in some robots the operator’s hand position is unsuitable for achieving the objective.

May 25 - 27, 1994.Broadband integrated services digital network (B-ISDN) based on the asynchronous transmission mode (ATM) is becoming reality to provide high speed, multi bit rate multimedia communications. Multimedia communication network has to support voice, video and data traffics that have different traffic characteristics, delay sensitive or loss sensitive features have to be accounted for designing high speed multimedia information networks. In this paper, we formulate the network design problem by considering the multimedia communication requirements. A high speed multimedia information network design alogrithm is developed using a stochastic optimization method to find good solutions which meet the Quality of Service (QoS) requirement of each traffic class with minimum cost.

The existence of maximum point, oddity point and saddle point often leads to computation failure. The optimization idea is based on the reality that the optimum towards the local minimum related the initial point. After getting several optimal results with different initial point, the best result is taken as the final optimal result. The arithmetic improvement of multi-dimension Newton method is improved. The improvement is important for the optimization method with grads convergence rule or searching direction constructed by grads. A computational example with a saddle point, maximum point and oddity point is studied by multi-dimension Newton method, damped Newton method and Newton direction method. The importance of the idea of blind walking repeatedly is testified. Owing to the parallel arithmetic of modernistic optimization method, it does not need to study optimization problem with seriate feasible domain by modernistic optimization method.

Interaction and wear between wheel and rail become increasingly serious with the increase in elevator speed and load. Uneven roller surface, eccentricity of rollers, and the looseness of rail brackets result in serious vibration problems of high-speed and super-high-speed elevators. Therefore, the forced vibration differential equation representing elevator guide rails is established based on Bernoulli–Euler theory, and the vibration equation of the elevator guide shoes and the car is constructed using the Darren Bell principle. Then, the coupled vibration model of guide rail, guide shoes, and car can be obtained using the relationship of force and relative displacement among these components. The roller–rail parameters are introduced into the established coupled vibration model using the model equivalent method. Then, the influence of roller–rail parameters on the horizontal vibration of super-high-speed elevator cars is investigated. Roller eccentricity and the vibration acceleration of the car present a linear correlation, with the amplitude of the car vibration acceleration increasing with the eccentricity of the roller. A nonlinear relationship exists between the surface roughness of the roller and the vibration acceleration of the car. Increased continuous loosening of the guide rail results in severe vibration of the car at the loose position of the support.

This paper presents a suboptimal approach for resource allocation of massive MIMO-OFDMA systems for high-speed train (HST) applications. An optimization problem is formulated to alleviate the severe Doppler effect and maximize the energy efficiency (EE) of the system. We propose to decouple the problem between the allocations of antennas, subcarriers, and transmit powers and solve the problem by carrying out the allocations separately and iteratively in an alternating manner. Fast convergence can be achieved for the proposed approach within only several iterations. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm is superior to existing techniques in terms of system EE and throughput in different system configurations of HST applications.

IFP Energies nouvelles (IFPEN) is involved for many years in various projects for the development of floating offshore wind turbines. The commercial deployment of such technologies is planned for 2020. The present paper proposes a methodology for the numerical optimization of the inter array cable configuration. To illustrate the potential of such an optimization, results are presented for a case study with a specific floating foundation concept [1]. The optimization study performed aims to define the least expensive configuration satisfying mechanical constraints under extreme environmental conditions. The parameters to be optimized are the total length, the armoring, the stiffener geometry and the buoyancy modules. The insulated electrical conductors and overall sheath are not concerned by this optimization. The simulations are carried out using DeepLines™, a Finite Element software dedicated to simulate offshore floating structures in their marine environment. The optimization problem is solved using an IFPEN in-house tool, which integrates a state of the art derivative-free trust region optimization method extended to nonlinear constrained problems. The latter functionality is essential for this type of optimization problem where nonlinear constraints are introduced such as maximum tension, no compression, maximum curvature and elongation, and the aero-hydrodynamic simulation solver does not provide any gradient information. The optimization tool is able to find various local feasible extrema thanks to a multi-start approach, which leads to several solutions of the cable configuration. The sensitivity to the choice of the initial point is demonstrated, illustrating the complexity of the feasible domain and the resulting difficulty in finding the global optimum configuration.

The trajcetory plan problem of spece reandezvous mission was studied in this paper using nolinear optimization method. The optimization model was built based on the Hills equations. And by analysis property of the design variables, a transform was put forward , which eliminated the equation and nonlinear constraints as well as decreaseing the problem dimensions. The optimization problem was solved using Adaptive Simulated Annealing (ASA) method, and the rendezvous trajectory was designed.The method was validated by simulation results.
