l-Threonine has been widely used as a supplement in the food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic industries. Here, we present a high-quality draft annotated genome sequence ofEscherichia coliXH001, a producer ofl-threonine in industry. Its genome and plasmid sequence will provide clues about the molecular mechanisms underlying its beneficial properties.

ABSTRACT Actinomyces sp. strain Chiba101, isolated from an arthritic leg joint of a pig raised in Japan, is a bacterium closely related to Actinomyces denticolens. Here, we deciphered the complete genome sequence of Actinomyces sp. Chiba101 and the high-quality draft genome sequence of A. denticolens DSM 20671T.

Here, we report the annotated draft genome sequence of Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. eucalyptorum pathotype strain LPF602 (synonym Xanthomonas axonopodis BSC45a), isolated from eucalypt leaves showing bacterial blight symptoms in Brazil. The availability of these genomic data will help improve the understanding of the evolution and molecular mechanisms involved in the pathogenesis of this microorganism.

ABSTRACT The genome sequence of a uropathogenic Escherichia coli sequence type 420 strain isolated from a patient with urinary tract infection in northern California is described here. The draft genome sequence includes a 4.8-Mb chromosome, accompanied by a 114-kb plasmid containing IncFIB/IncFII/Col156 and a 35-kb plasmid containing IncN3.

ABSTRACT We report here the draft genome sequence of the first isolated NDM-4-producing Escherichia coli strain, isolated from sewage water at a North Indian hospital. The genome has an assembly size of 5,076,053 bp, arranged in 129 contigs, with 5,271 genes and a G+C content of 50.47%.

ABSTRACT Burkholderia contaminans strain CH-1 converts 2-azahypoxnathine to 2-aza-8-oxohypoxanthine, plant growth-regulating compounds, by oxidation. We report here the high-quality draft genome sequence of B. contaminans CH-1. The genome contains 8,065 protein-coding sequences, including several genes possibly involved in metabolizing 2-azahypoxanthine.

ABSTRACT Rhizobium sp. strain TBD182, isolated from a novel hydroponics system, is an antagonistic bacterium that inhibits the mycelial growth of Fusarium oxysporum but does not eliminate the pathogen. We report the draft genome sequence of TBD182, which may contribute to elucidation of the molecular mechanisms of its fungistatic activity.

The basidiomycete Sporisorium graminicola (formally Pseudozyma graminicola) strain CBS10092 was originally isolated from an herbaceous plant in Russia. It is a known producer of mannosylerythritol lipids (MELs), the main component being MEL-C. Here, we present the 19.9-Mb draft genome sequence, which comprises 6,602 genes, including those encoding the MEL biosynthetic pathway.
