Studying pedagogical sciences for Computer Science subject nowadays does not meet with great interest of students in Slovakia. Education of young generation in this area is strongly affected by small number of well qualified teachers as well as lack of high-quality teaching materials resulting to deplorable knowledge of the pupils. The very same situation is also with preparation of future teachers. They have only limited possibilities of direct contact with pupils during their studies, what leads to weak experience of the future teachers and low motivation of the children for Computer Science subject. This contribution gives a positive example of extracurricular educative activity for pupils from lower-secondary schools, where students of Teaching of Computer Science program and Applied Informatics program were involved as lecturers or tutors. In this activity we used various motivational tools for teaching programming and Computer Science as well. The contribution describes our experience with these tools for programming, which we used in our extracurricular activity – so called “Informatics club” and also in the two primary schools and three secondary schools in the region of Banská Bystrica. Motivational devices, which were used are:  education board bbc micro:bit with accessories (IoT set, gamepad, micro:bit cars), didactic devices – robots (Airblock, mBot Ranger, Phiro Pro) and board game Scottie Go!.

In this paper we will deal about the importance of the study of the subject Fluid Dynamics in Engineering field. Students are more likely to study Engineering courses in the recent days. Engineering deals with the basic concepts of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. Though, Computer Science subject is a pulse to Engineering, the subjects, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry are heart beat to Engineering courses. In this study, we will discuss where and how Fluid Dynamics stands as a crown to Engineering Field.

Informational support of education is an area of pedagogical science that has been actively developing in Russia over the past few decades. Today, it has become the basis for the digital transformation of education, whose essence is transforming the methods of professional teaching by integrating digital technologies and moving to a data-based decision-making model. Among the participants of educational relations, there are diametrically opposite views on the possibility and feasibility of digitalization of education, especially at its initial stage. The purpose of this research is to present an authorial standpoint on the problem of digitalization of education with regard to both elementary general education in general, and digitalization of the Mathematics and Computer Science subject area, in particular, at the level of primary general education. The research methods include content analysis of scientific articles and methodological publications, the regulatory framework of school education, as well as generalization and systematization of international research in the field of the digital transformation of education. Authors considered external aspects of the digital transformation of primary education, determined by the general requirements for the information educational environment; highlighted activity areas related to the formation of students’ basic digital skills in the course of mastering all subject areas without exception; as well as revealed the problems of internal digitalization of the Mathematics and Computer Science subject area at the level of primary general education. The article substantiates the expediency of strengthening the logical and algorithmic components of the initial course of mathematics, the content line responsible for working with data, as well as several other issues related to theoretical computer science, and outlines prospects of the digital transformation of training of future primary school teachers to work in a modern digital educational environment.

In this paper, we present several applied as well as fundamental research problems related to the future needs of the offshore engineering. The paper starts out with a detailed discussion of the current uncertainties and constraints. Then, specific research issues on environmental input conditions, on the role of computational fluid dynamics, and on damping and dynamic response are presented. It is suggested that an appreciation of the input parameters, acquisition of extensive data to properly characterize the ocean environment, development of new methods and tools to acquire relevant data, extensive use of the computational methods, basic/applied research on the dynamic response and damping of structures, use of new materials, science-and-technology transfer from sister disciplines (e.g., aerospace industry, keeping in mind the complexities brought about by the presence of the air-water interface), and other related research will significantly enhance our ability to design and build a variety of safer and economical offshore structures in deeper waters as well as over marginal fields in the next few decades. This herculean effort will require several decades of complementary experimental, numerical and analytical studies of ocean-structure interaction which will serve to elucidate the basic as well as applied fluid mechanics phenomena relevant to the offshore mechanics.

High Performance Computing (HPC) has become an essential tool in every researcher's arsenal. Most research problems nowadays can be simulated, clarified or experimentally tested by using computational simulations. Researchers struggle with computational problems when they should be focusing on their research problems. Since most researchers have little-to-no knowledge in low-level computer science, they tend to look at computer programs as extensions of their minds and bodies instead of completely autonomous systems. Since computers do not work the same way as humans, the result is usually Low Performance Computing where HPC would be expected.
