We study both analytically and numerically the effects of including refractory periods in the Hopfield model for associative memory. These periods are introduced in the dynamics of the network as thresholds that depend on the state of the neuron at the previous time. Both the retrieval properties and the dynamical behavior are analyzed, and we found that, depending on the value of the thresholds and on the the ratio α between the number of stored memories (p) and the total number of neurons (N), the system presents not only fixed points but also chaotic or cyclic orbits. The recognizing capability of the network in the cyclic region is also studied.

We prove a sharp upper bound on the number of patterns that can be stored in the Hopfield model if the stored patterns are required to be fixed points of the gradient dynamics. We also show corresponding bounds on the one-step convergence of the sequential gradient dynamics. The bounds coincide with the known lower bounds and confirm the heuristic expectations. The proof is based on a crucial idea of Loukianova (1997) using the negative association properties of some random variables arising in the analysis.

The importance of character education as the direction and estuary of national education, bring the consequences of education to make the nation‟s character strong positive (sturdy, unshakable in the holding the good values which sourced of religion, culture-tradition or the state of philosophy). However the issues about the character or moral that happen at the present time, far more and complex compared with education character issues that happened in the previous time. There are some strategies that has done to give character education for child that started from family environment its self, because the child character formed from family education. The character issues that more complexs make the person aware the importance of review the theory of Prophet Muhammad SAW from hadis (traditional collection of stories relating words or deeds of Muhammad the chief source of guidance for understanding religious questions) to give the appropriate education character for child. Here the writer will present The Relevance of Family Education Character Perspective Adab al-Mufrad and Tarbiyah al-Aulad fi al-Islam Book toward the context of Education Character that happen at the present time.

As humanity evolves, air pollution has increased due to the various anthropogenic activities that man carries out, alienating emissions of gases and polluting particles to the environment, seriously affecting the health of living beings and the planet, since these cause Irreversible physical and chemical alterations in the environment, becoming a major problem worldwide. In Mexico there are meteorological stations that measure air quality and they are only found at fixed points, however, they do not cover all areas of the State of Mexico, the deterioration of air quality brings with it an increase in respiratory and cardiovascular diseases ; That is why this project's main objective is to build a portable electrochemical sensor using an Arduino board, using customizable software capable of quantifying and analyzing three polluting gases CO, CO2 and O3, especially in the municipality of Chimalhuacán located in the area East of the State of México.

Abstract Motivation In the modeling of biological systems by Boolean networks, a key problem is finding the set of fixed points of a given network. Some constructed algorithms consider certain structural properties of the regulatory graph like those proposed by Akutsu et al. and Zhang et al., which consider a feedback vertex set of the graph. However, these methods do not take into account the type of action (activation and inhibition) between its components. Results In this article, we propose a new algorithm for finding the set of fixed points of a Boolean network, based on a positive feedback vertex set P of its regulatory graph and which works, by applying a sequential update schedule, in time O(2|P|·n2+k), where n is the number of components and the regulatory functions of the network can be evaluated in time O(nk), k≥0. The theoretical foundation of this algorithm is due a nice characterization, that we give, of the dynamical behavior of the Boolean networks without positive cycles and with a fixed point. The paper analyzes the coupling of multi-disciplinary behaviors, including system dynamical behavior, combustion behavior and tribological behavior, of the cylinder liner-piston-rod-crank system in IC engine. Based on the state equation method, multi-disciplinary behavior coupling model of the Cylinder-Piston-Rod-Crank system is constructed and a multi-disciplinary behavior coupling analysis method in IC engine is presented on the basis of the state equation. With the coupling analysis model, the coupling effect of multi-disciplinary behaviors can be considered in the two sequential state calculations. By means of state calculation in time domain, the coupling effect of multi-disciplinary behaviors on life performance of IC engine can be predicted.
