Cobalt(II) phthalocyanine has been encapsulated into the supercage of X-type zeolite as an active monomer (CoPc-X) by the "ship-in-bottle" synthesis method, and furthermore the CoPc-X has been ion-exchanged with secondary metals ( M n+ = Na +, Ag +, Cu 2+, Zn 2+) to obtain CoPc-Mn+-X. They have been characterized by elemental analysis, fluorescent X-ray, UV-vis, diffuse reflectance, physisorption analysis, and ESR spectroscopic methods, and their deodorant behaviors for smell gasses, 2-nonenal and indole, have been examined.

Nickel(II) phthalocyanine complexes encapsulated in X-type Zeolite were constructed by the ‘Ship-in-bottle’ synthesis, whose characterizations were performed by fluorescent X-ray, UV-vis, reflectance, and ESR spectroscopic methods. UV-vis and Reflectance spectra of NiPc-Na+-X suggested that the Pc ring was synthesized. Solid state ESR spectrum of NiPc-Na+-X gave characteristic pattern for organic radical species. Catalytic oxidation reactivity of the NiPc-Na+-X in homogeneous reaction have been studied for organic substrate in the presence of H2O2.

AbstractThis study presents a preparation of SrFe12O19– SrTiO3 nanocomposite synthesis via the green auto-combustion method. At first, SrFe12O19 nanoparticles were synthesized as a core and then, SrTiO3 nanoparticles were prepared as a shell for it to manufacture SrFe12O19–SrTiO3 nanocomposite. A novel sol-gel auto-combustion green synthesis method has been used with lemon juice as a capping agent. The prepared SrFe12O19–SrTiO3 nanocomposites were characterized by using several techniques to characterize their structural, morphological and magnetic properties. The crystal structures of the nanocomposite were investigated via X-ray diffraction (XRD). The morphology of SrFe12O19– SrTiO3 nanocomposite was studied by using a scanning electron microscope (SEM). The elemental composition of the materials was analyzed by an energy-dispersive X-ray (EDX). Magnetic properties and hysteresis loop of nanopowder were characterized via vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) in the room temperature. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) spectra of the samples showed the molecular bands of nanoparticles. Also, the photocatalytic behavior of nanocomposites has been checked by the degradation of azo dyes under irradiation of ultraviolet light.

In the present work, ZIF-8/6FDA-durene mixed matrix membranes (MMMs) were synthesized and characterized. ZIF-8 nanocrystals, which were used as the inorganic filler, were synthesized using rapid room-temperature synthesis method whereas 6FDA-durene polyimide was synthesized by polycondensation method followed by chemical imidization. Pure and 6FDA-durene membranes loaded with 5 wt%, 10 wt% and 15 wt% of ZIF-8 were fabricated. The structural properties and morphology of the resultant membranes were characterized by using X-ray Diffraction (XRD) and Field emission scanning electron microscope (FESEM) . The EDX images showed that ZIF-8 particles agglomerated in the polymer matrix. However, no phase separation was observed for all resultant MMMs.

K-Ta mixed oxides photocatalysts have been prepared by impregnation followed by calcination. The influence of the reaction temperature (450°C–900°C) on the phase formation, crystal morphology, and photocatalytic activity in hydrogen generation of the produced materials was investigated. The detailed analysis has revealed that all products exhibit high crystallinity and irregular structure. Moreover, two different crystal structures of potassium tantalates such as KTaO3and K2Ta4O11were obtained. It was also found that the sample composed of KTaO3and traces of unreacted Ta2O5(annealed at 600°C) exhibits the highest activity in the reaction of photocatalytic hydrogen generation. The crystallographic phases, optical and vibronic properties were examined by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and diffuse reflectance (DR) UV-vis and resonance Raman spectroscopic methods, respectively. Morphology and chemical composition of the produced samples were studied using a high-resolution transmission electron microscope (HR-TEM) and an energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer (EDX) as its mode.

AbstractMagnesium acesulfamate, Mg(C4H4NO4S)2·6H2O, was prepared by the reaction of acesulfamic acid and magnesium carbonate in aqueous solution, and characterized by elemental analysis. Its crystal structure was determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction methods. The substance crystallizes in the triclinic space group P1̅ with one molecule per unit cell. The FTIR spectrum of the compound was also recorded and is briefly discussed. Some comparisons with other simple acesulfamate and saccharinate salts are also made.

The reaction of cis-(C6H5CN)2PtCl2 and Na2PtCl4 with the dienes 1,4-pentadiene and 2,5-diphenyl-1,5-hexadiene yields the species cis-(1,4-pentadiene) PtCl2 and cis-(2,5-diphenyl-1,5-hexadiene)PtCl2, respectively. The compounds have been fully characterized by elemental analysis, IR, 1H-NMR, mass spectroscopy and by X-ray methods

AbstractPbS nanostructures were synthesized successfully via hydrothermal approach with a new precursor. The products were characterized with X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and UV–Vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (DRS). The effect of different sulfur sources were investigated on product size and morphology.

The first two complexes of dioxovanadium(V) with salicylaldehyde thiosemicarbazone (SALTSC), of the coordination formulas [VO2(SALTSC-H)]?H2O (1) and NH4[VO2(SALTSC-2H] (2), were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, conductometric measurements, IR and UV-vis spectroscopy and X-ray analysis. The complexes were obtained in the reaction of an aqueous ammoniacal solution of NH4VO3 and SALTSC. The results of the characterization showed that SALTSC was coordinated in the usual ONS tridentate mode as monoanion in complex 1 and dianion in complex 2. In both complexes, the vanadium atom is in a deformed square-pyramidal environment and is slightly shifted towards the apical oxo-ligand (? 0.52 ?).
