Trajectory prediction of multiple agents in a crowded scene is an essential component in many applications, including intelligent monitoring, autonomous robotics, and self-driving cars. Accurate agent trajectory prediction remains a significant challenge because of the complex dynamic interactions among the agents and between them and the surrounding scene. To address the challenge, we propose a decoupled attention-based spatial-temporal modeling strategy in the proposed trajectory prediction method. The past and current interactions among agents are dynamically and adaptively summarized by two separate attention-based networks and have proven powerful in improving the prediction accuracy. Moreover, it is optional in the proposed method to make use of the road map and the plan of the ego-agent for scene-compliant and accurate predictions. The road map feature is efficiently extracted by a convolutional neural network, and the features of the ego-agent’s plan is extracted by a gated recurrent network with an attention module based on the temporal characteristic. Experiments on benchmark trajectory prediction datasets demonstrate that the proposed method is effective when the ego-agent plan and the the surrounding scene information are provided and achieves state-of-the-art performance with only the observed trajectories.

For driving safely and comfortably, the long-term trajectory prediction of surrounding vehicles is essential for autonomous vehicles. For handling the uncertain nature of trajectory prediction, deep-learning-based approaches have been proposed previously. An on-road vehicle must obey road geometry, i.e., it should run within the constraint of the road shape. Herein, we present a novel road-aware trajectory prediction method which leverages the use of high-definition maps with a deep learning network. We developed a data-efficient learning framework for the trajectory prediction network in the curvilinear coordinate system of the road and a lane assignment for the surrounding vehicles. Then, we proposed a novel output-constrained sequence-to-sequence trajectory prediction network to incorporate the structural constraints of the road. Our method uses these structural constraints as prior knowledge for the prediction network. It is not only used as an input to the trajectory prediction network, but is also included in the constrained loss function of the maneuver recognition network. Accordingly, the proposed method can predict a feasible and realistic intention of the driver and trajectory. Our method has been evaluated using a real traffic dataset, and the results thus obtained show that it is data-efficient and can predict reasonable trajectories at merging sections.

The quadrilateral meeting at Aqaba, intended to ““kick off implementation”” of the road map, was attended by King Abdallah, Prime Minister Abbas, Prime Minister Sharon, and President Bush. All four leaders made statements at the end of the meeting, but only those by Abbas and Sharon are reproduced below. President Bush's statement was noteworthy for its mention of Israel as a ““vibrant Jewish state”” (““America is strongly committed and I am strongly committed to Israel's security as a vibrant Jewish state””) and of Palestinian ““hopes”” for a ““viable”” state, and for reiterating that the Arab states ““have promised to cut off assistance and the flow of money and weapons to terrorists groups and to help Prime Minister Abbas rid Palestinian areas of terrorism.”” The statements by Abbas and Sharon were drafted with U.S. officials prior to the meeting. Though Abbas did not comply with the Israeli demand of Palestinian acknowledgment of Israel as a ““Jewish state,”” his speech provoked indignation in the occupied territories for its reference to ““the suffering of the Jews”” without mention of Palestinian suffering, its reiterated call for ending the ““armed intifada,”” and its ““renunciation”” of terrorism. Sharon resisted U.S. suggestions to refer to ““settlements,”” but did mention ““unauthorized outposts.”” In reference to Sharon's mention of ““territorial contiguity”” for a ““viable”” Palestinian state, a spokesman indicated that the contiguity would be ensured by ““bridges and tunnels.”” The text of the statements, transcribed by eMediaMill- Works and carried by the Associated Press, was posted on the Washington Post's Website.

The development of libraries in any country is critical for its socio-economic transformation especially during this 21st century era where access to information and knowledge underpins development. The International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) launched the Global Vision Project in 2017 as a way of strengthening library throughout the world. The project has seen over 190 countries participating worldwide. For most nations, especially those in the developing countries, this has indeed created platforms for strong and united library associations that are powering literate, informed and participative societies. A number of countries in Africa including Zimbabwe have taken the initiatives to participate in the IFLA Global Vision. This article seeks to examine the challenges and opportunities   for librarians in Zimbabwe in building a united library field. It will also scrutinize the road travelled by librarians in Zimbabwe in their pursuit of a vision to reposition their libraries on the global library landscape. The   article will also study the factors affecting the development of a unified library sector in Zimbabwe. It will also explore how the national professional association Zimbabwe Library Association (ZIMLA) can contribute towards a unified library profession through collaboration. The article also proposes a strategy to enhance cooperation among librarians in Zimbabwe.

Hence, improving the status of women by way of their economic empowerment is highly called for. Entrepreneurship is a key tool for the economic empowerment of women around the world for alleviating poverty. Entrepreneurship is now widely recognized as a tool of economic development in India also. In this paper I have tried to discuss the reasons and role of Women Entrepreneurship with the help of Push and Pull factors. In the last I have also discussed the problems and the road map of Women Entrepreneurs development in India.

Advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) for crash avoidance, when making a right-turn in left-hand traffic or left-turn in right-hand traffic, are expected to further reduce the number of traffic accidents caused by automobiles. Accurate future trajectory prediction of an ego vehicle for risk prediction is important to activate the assistance system correctly. Our objectives are to propose a trajectory prediction method for ADAS for safe intersection turnings and to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed prediction method. Our proposed curve generation method is capable of generating a smooth curve without discontinuities in the curvature. By incorporating the curve generation method into the vehicle trajectory prediction, the proposed method could simulate the actual driving path of human drivers at a low computational cost. The curve would be required to define positions, angles, and curvatures at its initial and terminal points. Driving experiments conducted at real city traffic intersections proved that the proposed method could predict the trajectory with a high degree of accuracy for various shapes and sizes of the intersections. This paper also describes a method to determine the terminal conditions of the curve generation method from intersection features. We set a hypothesis where the conditions can be defined individually from intersection geometry. From the hypothesis, a formula to determine the parameter was derived empirically from the driving experiments. Public road driving experiments indicated that the parameters for the trajectory prediction could be appropriately estimated by the obtained empirical formula.
