Abstract Ramírez-Rodríguez, M. 2011. Data collection on the small-scale fisheries of México. – ICES Journal of Marine Science, 68: 1611–1614. To improve data collection and analysis of basic fishery statistics provided by Mexican small-scale fishers, the official fishery-information system was modified by codes for fishing sites and species that facilitate data handling when used for estimating exploitation patterns related to fleet behaviour (zones/seasons) and production (catch and value per species). This is exemplified by analysing the relative importance of 14 fisheries and the dynamics of the black ark fishery in Bahia Magdalena, Baja California Sur, México.

Regeneration surveys have always been looked on as a necessary evil in silviculture. Huge amounts of data have been collected, only to answer simple questions or to be filed and never used. This paper addresses the possibility of changing regeneration surveys from simple legislative requirements, into components of the forestry information system. Current technology allows the development of sophisticated decision support systems, and this changes the whole perspective on information needed from regeneration surveys. Depending on the level of information needed, ground surveys or aerial surveys can be used. The types of information available from different survey systems are described, and two case studies are presented. In one, regenerating stands are assessed using an intensive ground-based survey and, in the second, the MEIS (Multi-spectral, Electro-Optical Imaging Scanner) is used to identify stocking in young plantations. It is concluded that surveys must be designed by working backwards from the decisions to be made, to the information needed to make those decisions, to the data needed to provide that information.

Groundwater is considered as one of the main resources especially in remote area. The ground water samples are taken from different areas in the study area (Baharia Oasis). Groundwater samples have been analyzed in specialized water quality lab. It was noticed that the iron concentration percentage is higher than the standard limit in most of areas. Using Geographic Information System, the percentage of iron concentration in different unknown areas could be predicted. The results showed that min iron concentration is 0.07 mg/l and the max is 10.5 mg/l. It is recommended to apply an oxidation process in different wells and predict the others using the same process to provide people with safe and sustain drinking water.

Kata Kunci : Sistem Informasi, Berbasis Masyarakat, PendataanABSTRACT Manual data collection causes problems in the data collection process, this also occurs in the Pasuruan City Education and Culture Office where data collection is still manual with a limited number of Human Resources (HR) assigned to collect data, therefore this service activity is carried out information system training to increase data collection time and reduce complexity in the data collection process for employees at the Pasuruan City Education and Culture Office. The information system training referred to is a community-based data collection information system, which contains basic data required by the Regional Government in the framework of formulating development plans. Information data will not provide benefits if it is not used as a reference in the preparation of development plans so that training and assistance are needed to achieve the goals. Keywords : Information System, Community Based, Data Collection

Research that the author did aim to know how to design inventory system on Planet Phone. The method used is quantitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques used are literature study, observation, and interviews. From the research conducted found that there is a problem on inventory data processing. The process of inventory data processing only by writing using a general ledger. So this causes inaccuracies and delays in reports. Therefore the authors make the information system by using PHP and MySQL database. This system consists of inputting inventory data, inventory reports, sales reports and income reports. As for some suggestions given to tackle the problem is by connecting the system with internet connection, for employees more quickly and effectively in penginputan inventory data and owner can also know the sales reports and income reports more quickly without having to come directly to the store.
