To extend a broad application of blockchain technology to the fields of online English education, this paper aims to improve a virtual platform for English teaching and learning of landscape design majors, mainly composed of presentation layer, business layer, and data layer by analyzing the performance of the proposed algorithm, and comparing with other existing algorithms. In the platform, through the service layer, the communication between the presentation layer and the data layer is completed, and the data in the data layer is transferred to the presentation layer. The user first establishes a connection with the server in the presentation layer. Using the transmitted data information, the server assigns an identifier to the user and establishes a role model. Users can download the teaching courseware through the server and simulate the real learning scene by controlling the interaction of XAML files. The results show that the virtual teaching platform makes the interconnection of users (students and teachers), machines, and things at any time and any place; realizes information self-verification, transmission, deep unsupervised learning, and management; and gives students a more realistic visual experience in high security.

Globalization has triggered the need to teach ICC in Business English education for effective communication and interaction across cultural diversity. This case study was carried out at a college specializing in International Trade in Vietnam with six Business English teachers as participants. The study aims to explore factors influencing the teachers’ integrating ICC into their Business English teaching (BET). The data were collected through 1/ in- depth interviews; 2/ analyses of two syllabi and two Business English textbooks in current use; 3/classroom observations. Inductive analysis was used to analyze the data. The findings revealed that the teachers hesitated to teach ICC due to multiple influential factors. The results of the study were a good source of data for more efficient policies to develop ICC teaching and learning in the global integration.

Since the 1980s, with the continuous deepening of penetration of reform and liberalization, there has been scientific and technological development. In such an environment, the traditional teaching model of colleges and universities posed new challenges and put forward higher requirements for English teaching practice. To enhance the performance of English instruction, this article applies a multiple media technique to start English education practice; firstly, through the study of the current English teaching mode, it analyzes the specific needs of teachers and students and designs the functions to meet their specific needs. Secondly, combined with multimedia technology and network technology, a multimedia English practice teaching platform was designed and implemented. In this way, the overall educational efficiency has been increased by nearly 30%, and the acceptance of the model by students has been increased by 35%. Finally, this paper constructs a small multimedia piano practice teaching platform for testing and proves the practicability and usefulness of multimedia synthesis technology in English education practice through comparison with traditional English teaching effects. Experiments show that the adoption of multimedia artificial smart technology in English education has a remarkable impact on enhancing the result of English teaching, can stimulate students’ learning enthusiasm, and realize the reform of English teaching.

This paper attempts to build a web-based English teaching platform that improves students’ efficiency in English learning. After reviewing the current theories on teaching platforms, the author combined online education technology and the Licensure and Master’s Program (LAMP) technology into a mixed teaching mode, which inherits the advantages of traditional teaching and network technologies. In addition, an English teaching platform was designed for the instruction and exercises for English courses. The platform is operated jointly by students, teachers and administrators. The research shows that the English teaching system, through the integration between information technology and LAMP, could be turned into a resource module to be used as a plug-in for online education; the proposed English teaching platform is a new-generation system for the teaching and learning of English reading, grammar, speaking and listening. The proposed platform greatly improves the teaching methods and the learning efficiency, laying a theoretical basis for the construction of the new teaching system platform.

With the rapid development of information technology, English education has attracted the interest of scholars for its ability to rely on computers to analyze and understand human language. Taking machine learning (ML) as the core, this paper tries to develop an evaluation system for ML-based English education. Specifically, a basic ML model was established with four stages: environment, knowledge base, learning process, and implementation process. The entire ML system was divided from top to bottom into a user layer, a business layer, and a data layer. Application results show that, during the ML, even users with similar personal data and the same goal have vastly different suitable learning materials, due to their gap in personal capabilities. The research provides an effective way to evaluate English education in the context of computer science and artificial intelligence.

The use of virtual learning media is now being daily needs since global pandemic appears. All educations units must use virtual platform to ruin learning process. This study is aimed to investigate the effectiveness of virtual media platform used by lecturer from students’ perspective, in teaching and learning process of English education students in Public Speaking subject. Besides, the research focuses on analyzing how effective the media is from students’ point of view. This study is a case study approach, that is natural qualitative. The study involved university students, conducted on one biggest university in Medan, Indonesia, majoring in English Education. The participants were surveyed through questionnaire distributed through Google Survey. The questionnaires and interview were conducted to assemble the data related to students’ experiences in using certain online media given by the lecturers, both provided by the institutions and other platform. By their response, Zoom Cloud Meeting is the most effective media in teaching-learning process, where 79% of them say so. It is followed by Whatsapp, where 41.30% respondents choose it. This findings hopefully will be great consideration for the researcher and other parties, to apply the chosen media in teaching learning process, as students expect in their response.

With the aid of information-based teaching platform, the traditional classroom English teaching mode can be improved to provide students with a realistic linguistic environment and enhance their learning interest. As a result, the web-based computer aided English teaching has become the mainstream in college English education. Based on the browser/server (B/S) structure, this paper designs a computer-aided English teaching platform of the model–view–controller (MVC) architectural pattern. The programming was carried out using the MySQL database, and the functions of the computer-aided English teaching platform were realized securely and stably by the popular Secure Shell (SSH) framework. The system test results show that the proposed platform supports the open teaching of college English, solves the lack of interaction in traditional classroom teaching, and arouses the students’ learning interest. The research further promotes the reform of college English teaching, and enriches the theories and practices on computer-aided English teaching.

The Chinese government has proposed the rural vitalization strategy in its poverty reduction, aiming at narrowing the discrepancies in economic levels between urban and rural areas. Under this development blueprint, poverty alleviation through education, one of the imperative approaches mentioned in this overarching strategy, has attracted attention from all sectors of Chinese society. In Southwest China, however, the urban-rural gap in compulsory education is still concerning, especially in English teaching and learning. This has lowered the overall quality of English education in these areas, whereas only a few studies have looked into this issue. Therefore, under the guidance of the rural vitalization strategy, the present study intends to offer a response by calling for more attention on the problems in rural English teaching in various aspects. Furthermore, this study explores the corresponding strategies adopted to solve these problems and discusses their effectiveness of English teaching. It is hoped that the study can develop a theoretical framework about the current issues of English teaching in rural areas under the rural vitalization and can provide practical suggestions for policymakers and educational practitioners.

The English proficiency of Chinese college students is mainly constrained by their low interest in English learning. The English educators in Chinese colleges must improve the initiative of their students to learn English. This paper attempts to create a college English teaching platform based on computer networking technology. Taking flipped classroom as the theoretical basis of college English education, the author introduced the concept and development of flipped classroom, and verified the feasibility of applying the theory in English teaching. To provide the media for flipped classroom, a college English teaching platform was built on the browser/server (B/S) structure, and used to promote the information-based English teaching in colleges. The functional modules and main interfaces of the platform were illustrated one by one. The flipped classroom-based B/S teaching platform was adopted for one semester by a college in Hunan Province. The class using this platform was taken as the test group, and another class without using the platform as the control group. The English scores of the two groups were compared, confirming the effectiveness of the proposed platform. Our research demonstrates the value of flipped classroom, and the proposed teaching platform helps improve the efficiency of college English teaching.
