To accurately predict the construction costs of foundation pit projects, a model based on the stacked denoising autoencoder (SDAE) is constructed in this work. The influencing factors of foundation pit project construction costs are identified from the four attributes of construction cost management, namely, engineering, the environment, the market, and management. Combined with Chinese national standards and the practice of foundation pit project management, a method of the quantization of the influencing factors is presented. 60 deep foundation pit projects in China are selected to obtain 13 main characteristic factors affecting these project construction cost by using the rough set. Then, considering the advantages of the SDAE in dealing with complex nonlinear problems, a prediction model of foundation pit project construction costs is created. Finally, this paper employs these 60 projects for a case analysis. The case study demonstrates that, compared with the actual construction costs, the calculation error of the proposed method is less than 3%, and the average error is only 1.54%. In addition, three error analysis tools commonly used in machine learning (the determination coefficient, root mean square error, and mean absolute error) emphasize that the calculation accuracy of the proposed method is notably higher than those of other methods (Chinese national code, the multivariate return method, the BP algorithm, the BP model optimized by the genetic algorithm, the support vector machine, and the RBF model). The relevant research results of this paper provide a useful reference for the prediction of the construction costs of foundation pit projects.

The reliable prediction of the surface vertical displacement deformation of deep foundation pits is of great significance to the excavation of large foundation pits. The support vector machine model (LIBSVM) has become a hot spot in the prediction of deep foundation pit deformation and provides a new prediction for the deformation of deep foundation pits. In this paper, taking the deep foundation pit of Daoxianghu Road Station in xx as an example, a prediction model of vertical displacement on the ground is established based on LIBSVM and analysis shows that the prediction results based on the model are in good agreement with the measured data, and the MSE reaches 0.0323. The model is effective and has an effective prospective skill.

In allusion to double sheet piles(DSP) global optimal solution, the response surface(RS) technique based on Uniform Design- Support Vector Machine(UD-SVM) was introduced to build the RS by nonparametric regression, thus to avoid the complex non-linear RS form between the double sheet piles parameters and indexes under the current standard. Use the Monte Carlo simulation as generator to produce samples, the RS can do considerable and non-repetitive efficiency prediction and get global optimal value satisfying to the target value with high accuracy and stability, also without figuring out the explicit formulations. This article applied the method to a double sheet piles optimal design, and took minimum engineering quantity as criterion to screen for the optimal parameters aiming at illustrating the feasibility.

At present, jet-grouted horizontal waterproof curtain reinforcement has become an essential method for deep foundation pit groundwater control. However, there is still a lack of an effective theoretical calculation method for horizontal waterproof curtain reinforcement, and there is little research on the seepage laws of foundation pits under different horizontal waterproof curtain conditions. Based on Darcy’s seepage theory, theoretical analysis models of deep foundation pit seepage were established considering the effect of a horizontal curtain in a highly permeable formation. Through the established models, the calculation method of the water inflow and the water pressure under the condition of a horizontal curtain was derived. Then through indoor tests, the reliability of the theoretical calculation method was verified. Furthermore, the established theoretical calculation method is used to analyze the influence of various factors on the water inflow and the water pressure, such as the ratio of hydraulic conductivity of the horizontal curtain to surrounding soil, thickness, and reinforcement position of the horizontal curtain. It is found that the hydraulic conductivity ratio has the most significant influence on the seepage characteristics of the foundation pit. Finally, the design method was applied to an example of the horizontal waterproof curtain of the foundation pit, which is located at Juyuanzhou Station in Fuzhou (China). The water inflow per unit area is 0.36 m3/d in the foundation pit, and this implies that the design method of the horizontal waterproof curtain applied for the excavation case is good and meets the requirements of design and safety.

The enclosure pile is extensively used as retaining structure in the foundation pit excavation. And it is always combined with other reinforcement measures. So it is unreasonable to a certain degree that the enclosure pile is analyzed as cantilever structure. Taken the deep foundation pit of a subway station in Hefei for instance, the effect of other reinforcement measures on restrained conditions of enclosure piles in the paper was taken into account. And the behavior of enclosure pile under various restrained conditions was analyzed. Based on that, some helpful suggestions for practical retaining structure of foundation pit were put forward.

The double-row piles supporting structure is a new type of supporting and protecting for deep foundation excavation. It is widely used to in design of deep foundation pit. Now how to simply and effectively design the structure of double-row piles is in a research and discuss stage. Using the Midas GTS finite element method, the displacement and stress distribution of double-row piles in the different stages of excavation are obtained, and the horizontal displacement and stress distribution of double-row piles in the different stages of excavation are calculated. The results of Midas GTS finite element analysis as follows: (1) after the excavation of foundation pit, the horizontal displacement of pile-top is maximum. The horizontal displacement decreases gradually with depth increases. And the displacement of front row piles is larger than that of back row piles; (2) the maximum shear stress is at the distance 5m to the foundation basement. The higher bending moment at the pile-top and the distance 10m to the foundation basement are consistent with the actual monitoring date. (3) the results of finite element analysis is close to the Richard software and actual monitoring data. It is show that using the finite element analysis to analyze the double-row piles supporting structure with is veritable and credible.
