Traditional dynamic models cannot fully describe the microdetails of the impact of emotional contagion on individual state and behavior when pedestrian evacuation is simulated. This paper addresses the problem by constructing a dynamic evolution mechanism among emotion, state, and behavior. First, the direction perception domain of pedestrians during evacuation is defined. Then, the dynamic emotional perception of pedestrians during an evacuation is studied, considering the emotional increment caused by personal walking speed and others in the direction perception domain. Next, emotional contagion is introduced into the improved cellular automata (CA) simulation model in the floor field (FF), entitled the “CECA model.” The transfer probability of pedestrians in different states is proposed by defining “susceptible emotional state” and “infectious emotional state.” Finally, the simulation results are compared with known models. The results demonstrate that the improved model can improve the evacuation efficiency of the system significantly. Simultaneously, the effects of emotional threshold, infection coefficient, calm coefficient, and perception radius of the evacuation system on the pedestrian evacuation process are simulated and analyzed, providing a basis for evacuation managers to formulate evacuation strategies.

Crowd evacuation under emergency is an important task of world public security research and practice. In order to describe the microemotional contagion of evacuation individuals, a cellular automata-based evacuation model of emotional contagion crowd based on the classical SIS model of infectious diseases is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the state of evacuation individual is defined as “emotional susceptible” and “emotional infective.” Then, a dynamic model considering emotional contagion is established with cellular automata. Based on the models of static floor field and dynamic floor field, the emotion updating rules and state updating rules are constructed. The influence of perception domain radius on pedestrian evacuation process is analyzed through experiments. The conclusion can provide evacuation guidance for evacuation individuals. The comparative experiment results show that the improved model can reflect the movement characteristics of evacuation individuals effectively. The evacuation efficiency of the whole system is also effectively improved due to the consideration of emotional contagion and evacuation strategy.

A improved dynamic parameters model is presented based on cellular automata in this paper. The dynamic parameters: Direction-parameter, Empty-parameter and Cognition-parameter are formulated to simplify tactically the decision-making process of pedestrians, which can reflect the pedestrian judgment on the surrounding conditions and decide the pedestrians choice of action. Simulation of pedestrian evacuation and pedestrian moving rules were established, according to two-dimensional cellular automaton Moore neighborhood. In the improved model, the impact of the pedestrian density around exits is considered, the simulation and experimental results prove that this improvement makes sense, because besides the spatial distance to exits, people may also choose the exit according to the pedestrian density around exits. And the simulation results of improved model is compared with experiment, comparison shows that the improved model can reproduce the experiment well. The improved model is useful for further study, it is instructional significant for pedestrian evacuation, avoiding or reducing the number injuries.

The possibilities and limitations of information-psychological campaigns to change perceptions and behavior of people in the situation of pandemic were considered in the article. The analysis of effectiveness of various tactics of psychological influence used in current conditions was carried out. Tactics based on activation of feelings of empathy and care about others showed the most efficiency. In addition, such tactics as appeals to fear, emphasis on sense of duty, reference to self-interest and personal gain were also successful. The following variables affected the effectiveness of the impact: the stage of the pandemic, socio-demographic and individual psychological characteristics of the people affected. Several groups of factors were identified as influencing the implementation of behavioral recommendations for protection against infection and shaping an adequate representation of the pandemic. This list included: stable individual psychological characteristics (personality traits, coping strategies, cognitive features, values), dynamic characteristics (emotional state and level of stress), and perception of the pandemic situation (risk assessment, threat experience, sense of control over the situation, etc.). Maintaining and tracking the dynamics of these factors were important for effective information campaigns. The possibilities of social networks as channels of informational and psychological impact were considered. The perspectives of monitoring social networks for assessment of people's psychological state and perception of risks to improve the effectiveness of communication during the epidemiological situation were outlined. The problem of distribution of false information as an inevitable phenomenon in a crisis, which had a negative impact on the emotional state and behavior of people, was considered.

An expanded dynamic parameter model is introduced based on cellular automata. In this model friction is modeled quantitatively. The dynamic parameters including direction parameter and empty parameter are formulated to simplify tactically the process of making decisions for pedestrian evacuation. The pedestrian moving rule is modified by bringing in the conception of friction under high density, corresponding simulations of pedestrian evacuation is carried out. The improved model considers the impact of interactions among pedestrians on the evacuation process. Therefore, it is more accordance with actual circumstance than the original dynamic parameters model.

Abstract The study of the panic evacuation process is of great significance to emergency management. Panic not only causes negative emotions such as irritability and anxiety, but also affects the pedestrians decision-making process, thereby inducing the abnormal crowd behavior. Prompted by the epidemiological SIR model, an extended floor field cellular automaton model was proposed to investigate the pedestrian dynamics under the threat of hazard resulting from the panic contagion. In the model, the conception of panic transmission status (PTS) was put forward to describe pedestrians' behavior who could transmit panic emotions to others. The model also indicated the pedestrian movement was governed by the static and hazard threat floor field. Then rules that panic could influence decision-making process were set up based on the floor field theory. The simulation results show that the stronger the pedestrian panic, the more sensitive pedestrians are to hazards, and the less able to rationally find safe exits. However, when the crowd density is high, the panic contagion has a less impact on the evacuation process of pedestrians. It is also found that when the hazard position is closer to the exit, the panic will propagate for a longer time and have a greater impact on the evacuation. The results also suggest that as the extent of pedestrian's familiarity with the environment increases, pedestrians spend less time to escape from the room and are less sensitive to the hazard. In addition, it is essential to point out that, compared with the impact of panic contagion, the pedestrian's familiarity with environment has a more significant influence on the evacuation.

The subject of this research is presented by the peculiarities of formation of special environment contributing to active rehabilitation of the addicts and their return to society. The study is dedicated to the impact of spatial and object environment of the Orthodox retreats upon those who desire to get free from addictions, and how it becomes an environment for active psychotherapy. The amount of Orthodox rehabilitation centers grows each year, so is the number of addicts who voluntarily choose the retreats for rehabilitation in the ascetic living conditions. The scientific novelty consists in viewing the Orthodox rehabilitation centers as a conceptual environment, encouraging the addicts to recovery. Religious experience of drastic changes in person’s life as a result of his functional isolation as an addict, and living in a conceptually arranged environment, creates motivation to recovery. The research offers a review of specialized rehabilitation centers that reproduce the characteristics of Orthodox settlements of secluded type. The nature of design solution, formed as a sacredly important visual text of an Orthodox monastery/settlement, is considered as determining the worldview values and capable of shifting the idea of repentance and further revival in faith, which reveals the semantic constructs of the design [1]. The main conclusions lies in the fact that the impact of architectural environment upon the emotional state and behavior of a person allows considering the practice of Orthodox seclusion productive for overcoming the crisis states of the people defined as a result of chronic alcohol consumption and stimulants.

The paper examines the impact of oil price shocks on inflation, as well as the impact of the choice of the monetary policy regime on the strength of this influence. We used dynamic models on panel data for the countries of the world for the period from 2000 to 2017. It is shown that mainly the impact of changes in oil prices on inflation is carried out through the channel of exchange rate. The paper demonstrates the influence of the transition to inflation targeting on the nature of the relationship between oil price shocks and inflation. This effect is asymmetrical: during periods of rising oil prices, inflation targeting reduces the effect of the transfer of oil prices, limiting negative effects of shock. During periods of decline in oil prices, this monetary policy regime, in contrast, contributes to a stronger transfer, helping to reduce inflation.

COVID-19 pandemic has spread across the world, which considered a relative of the severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), with possibility of transmission from animals to human and effect each of health and economic. Several preventative strategies and non-pharmaceutical interventions have been used to slow down the spread of COVID-19. The questionnaire contained 36 questions regarding the impact of COVID-19 quarantine on children`s behaviors and language have been distributed online (Google form). Data collected after asking parents about their children behavior during quarantine, among the survey completers (n=469), 42.3% were female children, and 57.7 were male children. Results showed that quarantine has an impact on children`s behaviors and language, where stress and isolationism has a higher effect, while social relations had no impact. The majority of the respondents (75.0%) had confidence that community pharmacies can play an important role in helping families in protection their children`s behaviors and language as they made the highest contact with pharmacists during quarantine. One of the main recommendations that could be applied to help parents protection and improvement their children`s behaviors and language in quarantine condition base on simple random sample opinion is increasing the role of community pharmacies inpatient counseling and especially towards children after giving courses to pharmacists in child psychology and behavior. This could be helpful to family to protect their children, from any changing in them behaviors and language in such conditions in the future if the world reface such the same problem.
