Based on socioeconomic statistical data, transport data, and network big data, the urban connection index (UCI) was constructed in terms of industry, transportation, information, and innovation, and the high-quality development index (HDI) was established from five aspects: innovation, coordination, green development, openness, and sharing. Taking Lanzhou-Xining urban agglomeration as a case, the urban connection intensity and high-quality development level were measured to analyze the relationship between them. From 2012 to 2018, the UCI and HDI of each city showed different degrees of growth. Note that there exist significant regional differences, with Lanzhou and Xining having the largest difference. The biggest gap among cities lies in the innovative connection intensity. Moreover, urban external connections are closely related to high-quality development, especially innovation and green development. For every 1% increase in industrial and transport connection, the HDI will increase by 0.317% and 0.159%, respectively. This study provides a methodological reference for measuring urban connectivity and provides decision support for high-quality development in China and other countries.

The Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration is the leading and demonstration area for the high-quality development of culture tourism (HDCT) in China. It is of great significance to study the spatiotemporal characteristics and impact mechanism of the HDCT for revealing the internal law of HDCT and promoting the collaborative innovation of culture tourism among cities. Based on the scientific construction of the evaluation system of HDCT, this paper made a quantitative analysis of 26 cities’ HDCT by using coupling coordination degree model, Lisa spatiotemporal transition and spatial Durbin model (SDM). The results show that: The overall level of 26 cities’ HDCT shows a fluctuating upward trend, and presents a "Z" pattern in space. More than 80% of the cities are at the medium and high level. Shanghai has obvious advantages in the primacy degree. There is a significant positive spatial autocorrelation among cities with high-quality of culture tourism development. The spatial clustering and proximity of the same kind are increasing, and the radiation effect is gradually obvious. The local spatial association patterns are mainly HH and LL agglomeration, and the characteristics of polarization are gradually prominent. The local spatial correlation structure of HDCT has strong stability, the transfer inertia between types is prominent, and the overall spatial evolution is lack of integration with obvious path dependence and lock-in effect. The spatiotemporal evolution of the HDCT is a complex process under the interaction of multiple factors, and there is a significant spatial spillover effect (0.256). The level of economic development, technological innovation, professional talent allocation are the three main factors. According to the dominant factor, it can be divided into economy stabilizing type, industry optimizing type, innovation driving type and traffic impacting type. These findings have implications for local governments and tourism management departments to achieve high-quality innovative development of cultural tourism.

With the rapid economic development and strong policy support, the targets and tasks of poverty alleviation are completed on schedule, but the foundation of anti-poverty areas is not solid and the internal motivation is insufficient. At the same time, China's agricultural trade liberalization has also penetrated in all aspects of economy, employment and society. This paper explains the current situation in detail and analyzes the relationship between agricultural trade liberalization and the prevention of return to poverty, and what strategies should be made at this stage to prevent the return to poverty at this stage.

As an important part of Baijiu industry in China, Chinese sauce-flavor Baijiu is sought after by the consumer market for its unique taste. However, in recent years, there are still many challenges in the process of industrial development. Based on the analysis of three characteristics of Chinese sauceflavor Baijiu market and the internal and external environments of industrial development, the internal and external factors of high quality and sustainable development of Chinese sauce-flavor Baijiu industry were discussed from three aspects - concentrated development, green development and diversified development.

This paper uses the data of 30 provincial regions in mainland China except Tibet from 2006 to 2018 to weighted measure the intensity of environmental regulation through the weight determined by the ranking of pollutant emission intensity year by year; Based on the three subsystems of economy, society and environment, this paper constructs a high-quality development measurement index system, and determines the weight year by year by entropy method, as well as measures the high-quality development level by weight; From the perspective of enterprise production decision, the influence of environmental regulation on high-quality development is theoretically deduced. Through the empirical test of two threshold models with environmental regulation intensity and per capita GDP as the threshold, it confirms each other, and empirically analyzes the impact of environmental regulation intensity on high-quality development level. The research results show that: The impact of environmental regulation intensity on high-quality development level, with the change of enterprises’ decision-making to deal with environmental regulation, has an obvious threshold effect. Before reaching the threshold, the increase of environmental regulation intensity has a negative impact on high-quality development; After reaching the threshold, the impact of the increase of environmental regulation intensity on high-quality development may have a short uncertain stage, followed by a positive impact. Government environmental regulation should be combined with the local stage to avoid the misunderstanding of blindly improving the intensity of environmental regulation; Government environmental regulation should focus on reducing the cost of cleaner production and technological innovation, and accelerate the formation of “forced“ innovation mechanism of environmental regulation, so as to give full play to the positive role of environmental regulation in promoting high-quality and high-development.

High-quality guided development and environmental forcing are two routes for China’s green development, and each has different focuses and outcomes. The aim of this study is to clarify coordinated mechanisms to reveal the reasons and determine paths for China’s green development. A research framework for synergetic evolution is established, and the Haken model is applied to analyze the different effects of high-quality development that guide resource- and environmental-forcing mechanisms. This research showed that: (1) the preferred route and key factor in China’s green development is high-quality developmental guidance; (2) high-quality development and environmental-forcing mechanisms are non-coordinated, and while the former might coordinate with the latter, the latter does not; (3) mutual promotion of high-quality developmental guidance and the resource mechanism was not observed; (4) the critical point coordinated value is 0.5686 for China’s green development. Eastern China possesses a relatively high level of green development, while the north, east, west, and central areas of the country still have much progress to make.

Tourism economic development is increasingly dependent on resources and environment. Exploring the relationship between tourism economic development and ecological-environmental (eco-environmental) stress is of great significance to promote the high-quality growth of tourism and the sustainable and coordinated development of ecological environment. By constructing a tourism economic development index and an eco-environmental stress index, this study analyzes the temporal and spatial evolution of tourism economic development and eco-environmental stress from 2009 to 2018 in China. It uses a decoupling model to evaluate the relationship between tourism economic development and ecological-environmental stress, and analyzes the reasons for the changes of decoupling relationship. The results show that: (1) During the study period, the development of tourism economy and the eco-environmental stress present a certain time-space effect characteristics. The stress index of China’s tourism economic development and ecological environment showed a fluctuating trend of first decreasing and then increasing, with obvious spatial hierarchical differences and weak agglomeration characteristics, and prominent regional imbalances. The tourism economic development level in the eastern region was higher than that in the central and western regions, while the ecological environment stress in the central region was greater than that in the eastern and western regions. (2) The relationship between tourism economic development and ecological environmental stress of China’s provinces has experienced eight states: Expansive negative decoupling, strong negative decoupling, weak negative decoupling, recessive coupling, expansive coupling, strong decoupling, weak decoupling, and recessive decoupling. During the study period, the state of optimal strong decoupling tends to weaken. Under the constraints of local policy orientation and regional economic development level, the overall decoupling optimization could not be achieved spatially. The decoupling state was always in an unsustainable non-optimal stage. (3) The reasons for the differential changes in the decoupling index between tourism economic development and ecological environmental stress in Chinese provinces come from investment-driven, resource-driven, innovation-driven, and environmental compliance push. This study can provide practical reference for promoting the high-quality development of tourism and the sustainable development of ecological environment.
