The study aimed to determine the Experience of Science teachers’ in practicing rewards system to increase student’s participation in class. A qualitative - phenomenology research design was adopted in this study. Interview guide question was used to examine the Experience of Science teachers’ in practicing rewards system to increase student’s participation in class. Data was collected through an interview. Total of 10 teachers were selected as a sample from 8 secondary schools in the Botolan District. The results of this study showed that reward system is effective in the performance of the students and encouragement to give the students good motivation   in the learning process. Most of the participant find the rewards system as an effective tool in increasing student’s participation. Recognition such as giving praise and compliments is the usual form of rewards given by the teacher. In addition to extra grades, scores and test or homework exemptions. Preferred rewards of the teachers aside from giving praise and additional grades, are useful rewards such as school supplies, candies, and other food treats. Effective motivation of the student’s in participating in learning activities is the foreseen effects of rewards system.

<div style="text-align: JUSTIFY;"><p>Social science has been viewed as naturally theoretic, which requires students to memorize all learned materials. The learning experience will be stucked in freez learning atmosphere when the teacher traditionally preeches and dictates against the students, as the teacher-centered approaches have run. This model of teaching produces passive students with low acheivement. In effort of dveloping the vivid learning experience, variative models of teaching must be applied by the teacher. Through this research, the researcher proposes Mind Mapping Teaching Method, hopping that the the students learning activities and achievement can be developed. Mind mapping teaching method can tentatively encourage student to be active, innovative, creative and imaginative along the way with the learning process. The application of mind mapping teaching method can hopefully develop students learning activities and achievement through the given action research design.<em></em></p></div>

Since teacher talk is a necessary input for the students in an EFL (English as a Foreign Language) classroom, the objectives of this study are analyzing the categories of teacher talk and the classroom interaction in young learners’ classroom at reputable English Courses in Malang. This study used descriptive qualitative as the research design by using an observation sheets and an interview guide as the instruments. Besides, the researcher recorded the audio for every meeting. The result shows that, the teacher talk used in the classroom has been classified as direct teacher talk covering informing something, giving directions, and justifying students’ authority. For the classroom interaction in the class, it was found that the way students responded to their teacher’s talk was by individually. Further, it was found that direct teacher talk was implemented in the learning process and the implementations of this teacher talk were also connected with the way the students respond to their teacher talk

This study aimed to illustrate some learning activities in Integrated English class byutilizing WhatsApp application and how the students respond to its implementation. The study was conducted in Accounting Department at University of Technology Yogyakarta. The subject of this study was 66 students in Accounting Class A of 2018/2019 Academic Year. The instruments to gather the data were observation, questionnaires and unstructrured interview. The result of this study showed that WhatsApp Application could be utilized as one of the beneficial devices to assist students in learning integrated English and there were positive responses from students during the implementation of WhatsApp in their learning process.

This certainly brings great effects to teaching and learning process, and one of the effects is the implementation of Scientific Approach which develops 5M (observing, questioning, experimenting, reasoning and communicating). It requires the understanding of the teachers of social studies on teaching and learning in elaborating the scientific approach used in Curriculum 2013. The research method is descriptive qualitative. The primary data sources are two Social Science teachers at SMPN 1 Tamban and the secondary data sources are taken by observation, interview and documentation. The research results showed that Social Science teachers in SMP Negeri 1 Tamban have understood the teaching and learning approach of Curriculum 2013 which is scientific with 5 M activities including observing, questioning, experimenting, reasoning and communicating or collaborative networking. With the facilities and infrastructures which are less supportive toward scientific teaching and learning activities in Social Science, the teachers of SMP Negeri 1 Tamban have been able to develop their creativity by directing students to think critically and creatively to build their independence in solving social problems in society. This can be exposed through the use of scientific teaching and learning model like Problem-Based Learning, Discovery and Inquiry. Social Science teachers creativity in scientific teaching and learning activities can be seen in the teachers efforts in the formulation of the lesson plan based on the steps in the scientific teaching and learning activities, the preparation of materials, the classroom management, media use, the utilization of study sources, the implementation of a teaching and learning model and the submission of study results.Key Words: creativity of teachers, teaching and learning process of social studies, scientific approach

Lesson plan is the written procedures of activities in the teachingand learning process. Some components which create lesson plan at leaststandard competence, basic competence, objective, and learning activities,also assessment. An observation found that lesson plan mismatched toteaching and learning process. Consequently, students did not meet goodcompetences in their learning. Considering this condition, the developedlesson plan is highly needed to overcome above problems. This article dealswith R n D research design proposed by Borg and Gall (1983). The steps ofresearch-based design focused on preliminary and information collecting,planning, and develop preliminary product of form. The instrument wasused is interview. The result of this study shown that developed lesson planis more attractive, applicable, and informative than previous one. In linewith result, development is very important in education. Educationaldevelopment is way to build creative and innovative thinking. Sustaining students� motivation during teaching and learning process, unquestionably, is considered as the most challenging task. Therefore, the teachers have to be mindful and creative in designing an activity as it is the core of the lesson. However, in practice, some teachers are sometimes found to aimlessly use an activity as they run out of idea. Thus, this study is conducted to serve as a reference for the teachers in designing a specific activity that helps the students stay motivated. A descriptive qualitative was employed as the research design to gain deeper analysis on types of activity that encourage the students to learn English. The data were collected through interview which involved 5 professional English teachers as participants. The result revealed that the design of the activity should be appealing and correspond to the students� interest, age, level of proficiency, school policy, materials and media availability. Thus, it is suggested that the teachers should be brave to try out new activity and attend some teachers� training, such as CELTA or DELTA, to improve their teaching skills.

The urgency of Merdeka Belajar policy is certainly a challenge for teachers to carry out the learning process in schools. This policy makes teachers have to independently find methods and ways of learning that suit the situation in school. This study aims to explore teachers' perceptions regarding Merdeka Belajar policy that will be applied today. A mixed research design was used in this study by involving thematic content analysis to get an overview of teachers' perceptions about the implementation of Merdeka Belajar policy at schools. Then the researcher tested the extent of the teacher's readiness to use a portfolio instrument which was an implementation of Merdeka Belajar. This study involved 30 teachers who received a set of open-ended questionnaires, conducted the FGD process, and filled out a portfolio assessment questionnaire. The results showed that the majority of teachers considered Merdeka Belajar policy to be an effective alternative in providing instruction to students in accordance with the resources owned by the school. However, technically, teachers feel the need to be given structured socialization, clear guidance, and freedom based on the abilities and personalities of teachers in schools. In addition, the percentage of portfolio instruments usage seems to have been widely practiced in learning activities.

The objective of this study is to uncover the students’ attitude toward vlogging activities in improving students’ speaking ability. Participants of this study are 40 students majoring English Education who enrolled in transactional conversation subject at Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia. Research design used in this study is descriptive qualitative. Data were gained through questionnaire exposing students’ attitude toward the subject and students’ attitude toward using vlog to support learning process. There were 11 indicators with 32 questionnaire items. The results of this study reveal that Vlog helps students to understand the materials, improve students’ learning achievement, motivation, creativity, and engagement, provide interesting learning activities, efficient learning, effective learning, and lead students to be confident, independent and critical.

The research is aimed to see and give the description whether the using of card as a learning media can increase the students` achievement in learning japanese language this research design uses action research that consists of two cycles. Every cycle consists of plan, action, observation, and reflection. The instrument used to know the students` activity during the teachung and learning process.This research consists of two cycles. Every cycle consits of four meetings. If there is a weakness in the first cycle, it result will be repaired in the second cycle. The result of the research is that 1, 56% students listens teacher`s explanation, 14, 06 % students take note from the tacher`s explanation, 44, 53 % students give opinion, 23, 44 % students ask questions, and 43, 34 % students answer the questions. By using card as media in learning process, it is hoped that the students will be motivated and interested in learning japanese language.Key words : media card, development of the result learning

<p>Teachers are a facilitator of the learning process. Teachers give pupils an ample time to discover new things on their own. Many challenges faced by the teachers in facilitating the activity of learners such as planning, creating, preparing, and selecting the materials used in the activity. Because of this, the task of the teachers is multi-faceted. Many things to be considered in making learning activities, must suit the capability of the learners, this activity can be adapted to different learning styles, and the activity must stimulate the interest of the learners. But not all activities are fitted for all learners because learners are diverse and unique in nature. The needs of pupils are the major concern of the teachers, to retain the learning of the pupils and especially the learning could apply in their daily lives for meaningful learning. The research dealt with the challenges of the teachers in increasing the learning retention among pupils and possible activities that stimulate the interest of the learners. This research measure the responses measured in getting the frequency, percentage, and weighted mean using formulas to analyze the data gathered. Utilize descriptive design with a survey questionnaire as the research instrument. This research has two sets of respondents the grade school teachers and pupils. <br></p>
